An old phone suddenly rings and connects to a dead person, changing everything...
CID officer Ho Tin Kwong (Roger Kwok) is investigating a serial murder case and the perpetrator happens to be a criminal who escaped from the hands of Kwong's father Ho Tai Ho (Hui Siu Hung) twenty years ago!
Kwong and crime novelist Ko Shan (Flora Chan) decide to compete over finding the murderer and just as Kwong is lost for ideas, Ho's old cellphone suddenly rings and it is Ho on the other end! Ho died in disgrace, so Kwong has never accepted him, but he uses the assistance from Ho in 1984 to help him solve a number of cases.
Kwong suspects that Shan's superior Hor Ching Nam (Shek Sau) is the serial murderer and Shan risks danger to lure him to reveal his identity. After the case is solved, Shan and Kwong become lovers and with Shan's help, Kwong also repairs his relationship with his father.
Shan was paralysed when she was young in a traffic accident, but Kwong uses Ho's position to help Shan avoid the accident in the past, but he can never imagine how this would change history and their destiny. Kwong also finds out the truth about Ho's death...

The movie 'Frequency' was good and let's just hope TVB doesn't SCREW up once again..Well, the poster to this series looks somewhat freaklisly freaking so lets hope the plots good..

i don't know... Flora's hyperactive characters are really starting to annoy me... I like her cool professional characters in FOJ or Untraceable Evidence....
It seems like TVB based this series on Frequency...

Yep... they used much of Frequency's storyline
and incoporated into this series... I think I read
somewhere that the producer intentionally wanted to do that

Floras' overactive personalitiy is starting to get to me. Hopefully she will tone down a bit in the future. However, I do like this series, it gives a fresh new image to TVB's cop dramas. Its unique and its a little hilarious with the father son connection over 20 years.

I just watched half of episode 4. I wonder if they are gonna base this whole series on finding MORNING SIR's dads murderer.. or will their be more crime scenes to investigate.
The only THINGS I find annoying in this movie is FLORA CHAN, and also when MORNING SIR and his FATHER call each other and they do that INTRO graphic thingie.. of inside the phone.. I mean 2 times is enough... but like 10 times+? sigh
Overall this movie is great. You know MORNING SIR's mother? If you watched VAT, I'm sure im not the only person who got a bad impression of her after the role she played in Venture Against Time. Her face looks so evil.. in no matter what character she portrays.

That SFX annoys me a lot too. TVB must have paid a lot of money for it, so they show it all the time. And it's not even that good....

Roger's mom gave me a horrible impression in ATV's Venture Against Time, so her acting nice and all in this series just doesn't really fit well in this series. I always get the impression that she is out there to kill someone, she does this by manipulating the evidence and giving the cops bad info to go on.
This series is really a fresh outlook for TVB. But I also think they copied the idea thing from ATV =D

well, i never saw the mother before, so i guess she's okay...
yeah, the phone graphics can get annoying after a while...
this kinda reminds me a little bit of greed mask, maybe the whole point is to find out about what really happened about his dad's death, and along the way, you find out more stuff and solve more crimes, even though i found some stuff really cheesy like how he tells his dad to bury something so he will find it...
the first case with the guy killing girls who were cheating on their boyfriends reminded me of armed reaction, the masked rapist...what was his reason for killing women again? (in armed reaction?) i remember it was something about cleansing them or something, but why?

anyways..this series is superduperkooll i luv it and i'm onli up tah ep 5 =p every case seems to revolve around "dai hol" roger's father.according to the 2nd case it also dates bak to 1984 and it also has to deal wit his dad and his "affairs" which i donno about yet ..

I heard Flora plays a bad role close to the end of the series. It will be a new look for Flora b/c I had never seen her play a bad role before. I think this was one of the last series Flora filmed for TVB so this will be a joy to see her in a new role. I hope the series is good, besides I always enjoy watching Flora anyways. Well, I'm looking forward to seeing this series when I get to rent it at my store maybe in the next week or two.

Look at the poster smiley just uploaded. LOOK AT FLORA! Why is she holding that sharp knife and look so evil? How does she walk again? Is she faking the part of being paralyzed? IS SHE EVIL???? I have a feeling this series is gonna become more twisted as it progresses.

The current story of episode 5 has so many holes in it...
Like in the end. How the hell are they supposed to find a letter that no one ever managed to find. It looks pretty obvious to me, a piece of white paper in a flowerpot. Not to mention the fact that it should completely be degraded in such an environment.

They made it pretty obvious about the coupling, Cherie and Patrick were caught taking pictures together. And well, I could only see Flora and Roger together. They are after all the main characters.

Well no one was allowed to go in there after the women died so obviously thats why no one found the letter....

The ironic part is that the knife is pointed right into Rogers throat. I think the TVB graphic guys did that on purpose, a little bit of foreshawdowing to ad some suspense if I had to guess.

Flora turns evil later on cause Roger stopped the accident[CHANGED THE FUTURE] where when Flora was young and she got hit by a car.....and dats y Flora can walk again later on....

ahh...there's this really funny part in episode nine...
flora wants to call roger to ask him to go look at the rock with her, so she's like i called because...and he's like why? and she's like...cause...i wanted to remind you to take your medication, today, tomorrow, and the day after, bye!
haha...that was just too funny...can't wait for the next episode!

Episode 11- My thoughts and opinions
I don't think HUGO is the one who is framing Roger. Hugo is only mad that 'he thinks' Roger told on him to his boss.
I think it's the cop who use to be Morning Sir's father's partner who is framing him. (The one who 'supposedly' was in the bathroom when the rock was stolen). I also think it is his father's partner who killed his father.
Hugo's character, at this point episode 11, is really annoying me. Hate people like that who do not clear things up with you and jump to heavy conclusions. I want to see his face when he finds out that Morning Sir did not rat him out.

well, remember how she said that it's because of her accident that her parents got back together and they had a happy life? If his father prevents the accident from happening, her parents will still be divorced, she'll get a horrible life, etc.

it can't be morning sir's dad's partner who's doing everything cause he died right? isn't his partner the one who got hit by the car? unless you're talking about his son? i guess it kinda makes sense, cause the kid was upset with morning sir's father for accusing his dad of stealing the money and then his dad rushed out into the street and died
arg, hugo's getting on my nerves too, but i think something that should come into the play is his mentioning of how he is an orphan, they should definitely check up on that and see what happened, and he kept on saying how he hated people who use woman...what's that supposed to mean? and i hate how he is totally hating morning sir too, that morning sir was the one who actually saved his job but hugo doesn't understand that...
i wonder why flora can't be a witness to everything that roger claims, how come she doesn't mention anything?
i guess i could sense how the mother becomes evil, maybe she develops a multiple-personality disorder or something...
and a note on the whole flora thing, also, because she was paralysed, not only did her parents stay together, but she also got a little brother from that, so changing her life's story = no brother, divorced parents, sad life...can't wait to watch the rest!

did you guys noticed how graphic that traffic accident is? that's actually the largest amount of fake blood i've ever seen on a tvb-series
the culprit who framed morning sir was pretty obvious in ep 12. didn't expected tbe 2nd one though.

Hugo isn't that bad now after you get to episode 12.
But like smiley said, why is it in the introduction (the music part) that Hugo wants to shoot Morning Sir, but Morning Sir's father's partner gets shot instead? Like he jumps out to save him. I had the idea that his father's partner was holding Morning Sir hostage or something and Hugo wanted to save his boss. I might be wrong on that.
The series is almost over. Going to be interesting to see how they can fit so much into a few more episodes.

I was like 'What the funk' when I saw that he hypnotized that mentally ill boy with counting rocks.
But I'm not annoyed at his character. It's quite funny how he goes from being wanted in Jail and then now he is all warm and loving kind of person.
oh yeah at the end of epi 12, SO SO funny. That girl pulled out this mini gun and said "I am that little sister". errrrrrrrrrr hahaha Oh Look! I am holding your mom hostage!

Yea, I really didn't understand that part I was like ... what?! Wouldn't it be easier if the girl allowed the mother to go? So there is only 1 person to deal with? Man
These guys don't think in practical terms anymore do they.
I find the psychiatrist part a little absurd, even if what he says is true. The cops can never bring it to court because he is not licensed anymore.
BTW, did you guys note how stupid it is when Roger and Flora can talk about the dead father and the past and present connection in front of a cop so openly? Oh yea, speaking of that aren't Correctional Officers supposed to be looking after the interview when they are jailed?
Lawyer Client privledge is literally non existent in this series.

i was kinda shocked by how fast roger figured it out...usually, in tvb series, it takes the characters at least 20 minutes watching time to figure something out, but roger figured it out in about five minutes!! i think someone's getting smarter
but yeah, i was wondering why the girl didn't let the mom go, but probably because she knows that roger loves and cares for his mom very much...after all, she's been "stalking" him for about a year...
that was weird how roger and flora were able to talk like that in jail, cause obviously the cop there isn't paying any attention, he's not even there...just a statue...but how come roger didn't have to wear the prison clothes and still got to wear normal clothing? and why was his jail so nice? or was that not a jail since they didn't officially "charge" him with the crime yet?

Even a holding cell can't be that nice in Hong Kong. You try to make the criminal dislike jail so I can't understand why people would build a nice jail in the first place. Now that you mentioned it he should be wearing prison overalls. Another TVB streak of inaccuracies.

I just found a blooper in episode 13. The part when Flora gets the text message from Morning sir, they spelled Morning sir's name wrong. They spelled it "MONRING SIR" lol.

Although the prosecpt of having another bad ending is high this is undoubtedly one of the best serials released by TVB this year. Good acting by the cast and a pretty interesting story line, although I still think they copied this idea from ATV.

Have anyone seen the movie Butterfly effects? It's a movie about thinking about the past and change it, but the future will be different. So the main character has many memeries of the same time line.
Roger Kwok has the same experience and has double memories.
