so who sings it better, and why? =)

Me - man, I love both of their voices so much but I think Joongie wins it by a little in this particular song, it just works better I think. Kyu's voice is stronger, but Jae's is more ... err, *searches for a good adjective*

(I do like Kyuhyun's rendition of a Whole New World over Junsu though, and that's a HUGE concession cos Junsu is like my life haha XD)

hahaha, well since that's the case, i'll answer thsi question. ive actually never realy listen to DBSK in general, maybe im one of those who gets sucked in through personality, not saying DBSK doesnt show a lot of charisma on tv, but i believe that suju did it better...this is just background info, haha, so just saying im a SUJU fan..so i would be biased....

BUT...i do have to admit, jj's version is a lot better...it suits the girls more, and it's more smoother. not to say kyuhyun's voice wasnt good..he's one of the best out there in korean industry (imo) but i felt his voice didnt mix well w/ them, and somewhat stood alone. if it's gonna be a "duet" it should mix well..

Pick: Kyuhun's version

I listened to JJ's first before Kyu's and I definately knew who sang it well. Kyu's powerful voice goes w/CSJH's powerhouse voices and they did not overlap one another which help stream the tone of the song.

Both are good singers and have powerful voice . But I don't think Kyuhyun's voice is stronger than JaeJoong's . It's just that his voice is thicker and huskier , it makes his voice sounds stronger . On the contrary , JJ has a smoother and more flexible , versatile voice .


Actually , you give me the difficult question because 2 versions of Just For One Day give me different feelings and both JJ and KH can sing well . But if you ask me who makes the song sounds better , I can answer :

- Kyuhyun sang his parts very well , but when his voice blended with CSJH , it clearly sounded his voice didn't suit with CJSH's voices . His voice sometimes overpowered CSJH's voices . It's not good because CSJH was the main vocal . Actually I think bass is usually difficult to blend well with girls' voices , especially in high notes .

- About Jaejoong , of course he also sang his parts very well , and when he & CSJH went together , it sounded great ! Plus his high pitch notes near the end . That's why I said that his voice is very flexible ( no doubt he is the main vocal in DBSK's acapella because of this factor ) . When DBSK's in Japan , I saw collabs of them & some Japanese singers and he always blended with them better than Junsu . That's actually his strong point .


So I picked Jaejoong

Kyuhyun version.

I think Kyu improvised & control his vocal and the tone in the song better, imo. Since his vocal is versatile he can go low, medium and high. His voice is more relaxing and unforceful than JJ when he sings it with CSJH. In this particular song, the female vocals goes into a higher range whereas Kyu to set, elevate and compliment not overbearing the 4 ladies.

okay. both of them possessed great flawless voices and i freaking love it(: well, for me i think i will choose kyuhyun. i prefer strong powerful kind of voice.

Kyu Hyun's voice sounded a little nasally in his version, but hey, I've always thought that his voice is nasally. Well, at least compared to Jae's. I have to go with Kyu Hyun's version this time.

I wasn't really used to listening to the Korean version at first, because I found the Japanese version so much earlier and I listened to it for quite a long time, before I found the Korean one. So, at first, the Korean language didn't impress me, because it sounded weird.

The reason my pick goes to Kyu Hyun is because I don't like the fact that Jae's voice wavered too much in his version. I think Jae seems to be affected by the language of the songs he sings. Don't you think? His voice doesn't shake/vibrate that much when he's singing Korean songs. Well, actually, it does, compared to how his voice was like back then (Hug, Rising Sun, O days). But compared to his voice in Japanese songs, it doesn't shake that much. Makes any sense? I don't know if it's only me, I feel that Jae's voice changed so much over the time; his voice was deeper and huskier in the past. Now it sounds a little fragile. So yeah, that's basically what applied in Just For One Day. Well, it could also due to my strong liking for Korean songs.

Kyu Hyun has always been like that, my favourite singer in Super Junior. Hahaha... I think I have expounded on his voice before so I won't repeat. But occasionally, I do find Kyu Hyun and Jae's voice sounding alike.

I like both but Kyuhyun has a stronger voice. I think his voice is beautiful. I also think Jaejoong's voice is good, but I prefer Kyuhyun. I may be a bit biased since I am a huge Suju fan, but I'm also a fan of DBSK.

Maybe we'll get to see them sing something live together. Would love to see that.

I was a SuJu fan before a DBSK fan so I heard the Korean version first...and only discovered the Japanese version after being so used to the Korean one.

It's hard...KyuHyun's my fave SJ and Jae's my fave Shinki. They both have THE most beautiful voices in the world. I am a MUCH bigger Jae fan *points to avy* than I am of Kyu but on this one, I'm gonna have to pick KyuHyun's version.

i think both of them have a beautiful voice in the diffrent area. Jaejoong's voice is far more husky, thin and cool, while kyuhyun sound much more serious, deep, warm, both have their own market

Don't get me wrong i adore both artists but Kyuhyun is the one i like better.

Both have my up most respect and adoration.

They both sing very well and they also have beautiful voices in a different way if compared. But for me, not because I'm more of a Cassiopeia than an ELF (buuuut, I love SUJU also!) I think Joongie umma sings better. I think his range wider than Kyuhyun who has lower and manly voice(?) Don't know if I got that right but that's what I think.

iw ud choose the angels voice of kyuhyun. not to say that vjaejoong voice is way back then kyu but his voice is more smoother with all the hiss sounds. kyuhyun can sungs all songs well. his voice was just fantastic...

excuse my total biased view. but in the end, i'd still have to pick Jaejoong's version a little more. I guess its due to the fact that I'm more USED to listening to Jaejoong's smooth-sounding voice than Kyu's somewhat rough, deeper voice! 8D

Jaejoong is also able to sing really high notes, so during one part of the song it really amazed me so much at how high he was able to go along with the rest of the csjh members. (: whereas kyu's range is so much lower so it kinda doesn't match with the song. but i guess you can't really compare since both guys have different vocal ranges. and like what roba♥jaejoong said above. i thought that jaejoong's voice matches the MOST with CSJH members, since jaejoong's voice sounds really similar with lina.

also. i guess i have been listening to japanese songs more these days so im starting to like the japanese language and i find just for one day just sounds more nice in japanese. despite the fact that it's originally a korean song, XD lol

i think kyuhyun is btter than jaejoong...
his voice can attract many people to hear the song...
he voice is the best voice i ever heard..

I prefer Kyuhyun's version because simply, a deep male voice is good for contrasting with csjh's high voices.

In terms of vocal prowess, they're on par. It really boils down to which singing style u prefer.

Still, outside of this song, Jaejoong's voice is still the only one which attracts me to listen to it repeatedly. So ANGELIC:) I can name many singers who sound like kyuhyun.

It's really a difficult question
because I like both voices (and of course both guys)

each version has his own attraction with the guys' unique voices and way of presenting the song

but to reach a conclusion: I like Kyuhyun's voice a little bit more
I love the soft deep voice of him which differs from the high voices of CSJH
so I prefer Kyuhyun's version
