Roger character reminds me a lot of another detective in another TVB funny detective series. I can't remember the name of the series but it starred Ada Choi. The main lead in that series was also a quirky detective that solved funny cases.

I think the series you are talking about is "To catch the uncatchable" Don't know the English name of the male lead, but it basically is able crime being solve by a weirdo. No supernatural power or six sense in that one. It was still good, I like this one too. It has a good concept and plot but I don't really care for the funny face when his six sense goes to work. No point in it.

His english name was Dayo Wong. He is a comedian and makes funny hong kong movies. Yeah To catch the uncatchable was a good series, Ada and Dayo did a good job.

he also play Evil Kin, that came out last year, that one was good too.

His performance is a bit unstable in this series. It's like he isn't even doing his best...
I don't know if it's because of the script... how he does his "gift" is just really.... stupid...
maysia
^ oh my~ that's exactly what i though when i saw that O__O
the serie is not that bad, and Roger's character is fun to watch but when he do his 'gift' just ruin the whole thing~~

I think Roger is doing a great job in this series. His light-hearted character livin up the show. His style in clothing and his '6th sense' is a bit on the weird side, but i believe this show is suppose to be half comedic and half serious. I hope this theme will continue till the end and no one dies or else it would ruin everything.
asiandotkom
One of the best actors in my opinion. Versatile actor who always brings his personality and splashes it on his role. Unique in his acting.
happytavia-bernice
in this series it is pretty cool how he got hit by lightning and everytime he touches evidence from the case he always gets an idea that will make him successful in solving the case. i think it is like he has superpowers. he makes this whole series so funny sometimes.
asiandotkom
leik ya rly? it shows leik when he gotz hit by da lightningz ya? leik he touchez things and goez woooooooooooooooooooooooo soopapowaz. itz morphin time!

He is pretty funny and smart like Dayo Wong in "To Catch The Uncatchables" but he always talk in a funny way, reminds me of Ah Wong. Maybe it's because his character is like that, that's why I think he seems to be lazing around instead of filming.
foreverleila
Roger's character in this series is so smart. He finds out all the clues in most of the cases that he solves. Like the idea of how when he touches the piece of evidence from the case and he would be able to see something from the case that happened. Very interesting idea...

i like his character in the series...it's different and new from his previous ones. his relationship with others in the series is interesting to watch too.

Armanibabe
He is a funny character to watch at. Only the "gift" thing looks kind a weird sometimes.
jingylovessoup
LOL Roger is soooooo funny~! And Ah Long is so smart in a weird way. Roger said in his blog that he does that supernatural power thing to Brad LOL it's soooo cute~ This concept of touching an evidence and getting messages from the murdered victim is quite creative IMO. Contrary to most here, I really like it whenever he does that superpower thing, it makes me laugh like all the time~~ LOL

Oh and when he was acting with the 'ghost', those scenes, it kind of reminded me of another really old series called 'A Smiling Ghost Story' where Maggie Cheung Ho Yee was the ghost and he's human. It's funny how he's always acting alongside a 'ghost' LOL

Roger has so much onscreen charisma I don't think I'll ever get tired of seeing him!!
clumzii3monkie

misz_alice
I love Roger his character is so cute and funny...I think I like Roger when he plays a funny character when he plays a serious one like in Greed Mask I didn't enjoy watchin him!!

Well, I personally don't think that this role was a breakthrough for him. Erm, he did the role well, and looked coOl/funny/confused whenever it was required of him. But, as compared to his previous roles such as in Square Pegs or Life Made Simple, this role isn't much of a breakthrough/challenge. However, he did a good job with the role and I quite like him. I especially remember that subplot where he had to arrest his own dad. I feel that he did a fabulous job there and the emotions struggled he depicted was so real. For me, that was the most memorable part of the whole series. I'm so amazed by his ability to act so funny at times and yet sooooo sauve in some scenes. Overall, good job and for once, I look forward for a sequal (although I've had enough of TVB making sequals that don't live up to their predecessors' standards) because I like the cases and look forward to more! Still, I hope Roger can continue to challenge himself with more diversed roles in the future - it's hard since he has already tried out so many kinds of roles!
BKzzard
Thank goodness he slimmed down further and great hair !.......more suave in this drama than Ah Wong... and really funny when he delivered the one liner jokes and then flash his teeth.

Somehow I couldn't bring myself to watch him again after that "Ah Wong" modern series. He was so chubby and his distorted voice was irritating.

kiwi3
I love Roger in this series! Well...i usually love Roger in any series but i loved his character in this series. He was so funny and so cute! I think Roger should portray more characters like this one.
i.luv.you
this drama reminds me of to catch the uncatchable:D

.sugarhearts
^ same here. a bit like Dayo but Roger gets a sixth sense,
his clothes sometimes look the same though ahah smile.gif
i liked his acting here, it's very natural and he smiles a lot
maybe thats just his character, very funny too.
SUSIE-DANG-1988
he's great in these detective series. He always plays these kinder roles. lol
hahaha. yehh.. with his long coat on. rofl. he's soo good though.
andrienne
it's funny with him sleeping every time when he sees the 'thong ling gam ying' thingy. but he's really funny!!! i am amazed by the character's massive comics in his room!!!
louis300
he's funny in this series, his laugh kinda reminds me of him in "Ah Wong".....
I think he was a perfect person to act this character which makes the series much more interesting.
L.c.
Roger is pretty funny in this series. I keep remembering him from a past series that involved him as a detective (Morning Sir?) as well. It was when he was with Flora Chan and he had this telephone that communicated with his father like 20 years ago. Pretty funny in both series biggrin.gif.
junielee4556
It's funny when he goes to Stephen's office and hops on the chair. The way of sitting reminds me of L from Death Note...
Lilpinkbunny
roger was GREAT in this series!
