Placebo are an alternative rock band formed in London in 1994. The band currently comprises Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal. The band formed when Molko and Olsdal, who went to the same school but apparently never spoke, met again by chance in London and subsequently formed 'Ashtray Heart'. Drummer Steve Hewitt left the band on October 1, 2007, citing "personal and musical differences".

yay!! placebo!! i luv them.. my favourite songs are running up that hill, english summer rain and infra red!!

It's been a while since I've heard anything about them, but I used to listen to them all the time! I saw them in concert even! Actually, that show was awesome because I had a photo pass (I worked for a magazine and we were covering the show) and so I got amazing pics! Brian really is pretty! lol I haven't heard any of their newer stuff... I'll have to check it out!
