After the departure of Esther from BSS, TVB decided to add two new cast members.. Fala Chen & Wong Hei.
From the preview for episode 272, it looks like Wong Hei will be making his first appearance. Wong Hei is the youngest brother of Ah Jit's grandmother. It seems he has a distant relationship with his sister and has been busy traveling. Ah Jit says that his great-uncle has a very distinctive personality.. which I guess will be the basis for quite a few episodes.
It'll be interesting to see if Wong Hei will have any role at Ying.. or if his character will only be confined to the Luk residence. Will he stay in Ka Nam's old room??
Any comments/thoughts or info regarding his character?

I wonder if he will have anything to do w/ Diana and Kau Chun's relationship.

Esther Kwan - Such a pity she's gone. She made the show. She is the show.
Wong Hei - Recent years i've found him kinda gay.
Fala Chen - Dislikable and annoying with bad press.

Wong Hei & Diana?!?!?! I hadn't even considered that.. but it's a possibility.. From what we've heard about Wong Hei's character though, it doesn't sound like he would be Diana's type..

I am so surprised to see wong hei in Best selling secrets!!
Pity that Esther's gone because as Joy Lee said:
"She made the show. She is the show"
I had given up in BSS because she's not around anymore, but if wong he joins then i might start watching again.
Chan Fala.....don't like her, not impressed that she's the new addition.......

She was in an episode as phillip's model girlfriend in a previous episode, dunno if she'll stay the same.
Anyway, I miss Esther.

you never know, the one you usually end up with is the one that "not defintely my type" .. but for sure Diana will end up with Kau Chun.
just wondering what Wong Hei's character will fit in though ...

It seems that Wong Hei's first official appearance starts on episode 276. Lol, the name Kilo is really weird but it is matching with his chinese name.

not kinda gay, he's actually gay...
but I never really liked him even before when I found out he was gay, but this character seems kinda interesting after watching 172 with all his boxes and stuff arriving before he even shows and the fact that hes such a secret person to his sister...

Are you sure it is Fala? Wasn't it suppose to be either Aimee Chan or Suki Tsui? Furthermore, isn't Fala 'too big' nowadays to join a sitcom?

I'm not sure about Fala but Aimee Chan is going to make appearance in episode 282.

i gave up the show too since Esther is gone. I mean BSS is not the same without Esther. Hope they wont pair Fala with Vincent. Dont like Fala, her acting is just simply bad...

I'm totally gutted that Esther left/is going (I haven't watched that far yet here) she was honestly the best bit of the show, how on earth can they throw off a main character like that? It's ridiculous.
Wong Hei is okay, I've seen some of his acting before, he's quite an average character but I don't see how he can fit into this sitcom, I can't imagine the chemistry and I'm scared about how much failure the gags will be with him. But did you just say he's Ah Jit's Grandmother's youngest brother?! Omg I know he's like 30 but Ah Jit's Grandmother can be Wong Hei's Grandmother!!?!
Fala Chen, her acting is pretty good but horrible reputation. She doesn't look like sitcom material to me, watched her in "Steps" and her portrayal as a horrible teen worked for me, but as a sitcom? No way... What's wrong with directors these days? Can't they assign the right actors/actresses... ?

I may be the only person that doesn't care that Esther left. I mean she's a great actress and all, but I'm not watching the show because of her. I watch it for the storylines. There are some fun to watch ones and then there are some boring ones.
Like the Doris and Cheung Gor plot (Rachael & Wayne), it's refreshing to see this pair and their like for each other is pretty sweet and down to earth.
For Wong Hei, I can totally see him being an environmental "freak." Is this TVB's injection of being green in their series? As always, Wong Hei delivers a solid performance. He has bulked up over the years and he isn't as skinny anymore.

No you're not the only person. I don't really care too, but that's because it's obvious that "her story" has been thrown into the background. She basicly only had 2. One is to reconsile with her son, which is done. 2nd is to get together with vincent, which had happened. After that she can only be the good boss. And in that matter, her part was becoming smaller and smaller anyway. (just like diana now)

I don't know, I'm kinda annoyed that all new characters are introduced as superannoying people...

i think wong hei is alright in this series.. although he may be sometimes annoying with his talk, i find that his appearance would make a change in Yin's Group (the ad company).

I think BSS has been kind of 'forced' to centre their stories around Esther. After she left, I actually like how the smaller cameos got a bigger role. It's more refreshing and it shows how good the cameos are but were never given any real chance.
I don't like Wong Hei in BSS. Same as another poster, I find him really gay (literally) in these few years and annoying with no break through in acting.
I'm not so sure whether Fala is suitable to be in BSS. Haven't seen her out yet.

I feel the story is kind of "forced" now that Esther left. Whereas before it has a focus point and some kind of direction. So far, Wong Hei character doesn't add anything interesting to the series and each episode feel like a filler. The producer should stop the show.

Exactly. I don't know which direction <Best Selling Secrets> wants to go, but currently, it's really 'mow liu' with Wong Hei and especially 'Alien'. It's obvious that these crappy roles are just filling the episodes with their nonsense. I feel like <Secrets> lost its script - nothing much happens anymore - mow liu, lame and childish. The current <Secrets> isn't any better than <Welcome to the House>.
I so want to see more of Doris&Cheung, Chun&Diana, Yung&Queenie, Marco&Gary, but TVB really likes Alien. She almost appears twice every week
And the heck did Vincent go?!

Welcome to the house was boring in the beginning, in the middle it became quite watchable, to complete get lost near the end where it became just a disaster. Kinda the same fate as BSS is coursing to.
I missed Esther, Wong Hei will help but it is not the same. I am trying to have an open mind, time will tell.

I think Wong Hei provides a bit of comedy to the series. It was a bit awkward when he first came in but now he has grown into the show. I really like his scenes with "Law Wai" as they are so funny.

i don't think wong hei is very good in this role. it reminds me of his role in the previous series... the one where he is taking care of his kid and is a see lai. he's a much better actor, but it seems that he's taking on the same roles over and over again... an overly anal retentive metrosexual who is borderline gay.

i think that this role really doesn't suit wong hei at all. not to bust on him or anything, but then he looks better as a detective or a cop or private investigator then the character he portrays in bss.
i am hugely disappointed actually on how they can just stick him in like and idiot.

He was really good in the few episodes he was in. When he lifted the soybean grinder and he doesn't want a mobile phone, I was laughing so hard. I thought Welcome to the House was better, the people were more united and it was more natural.
