Super Junior is not popular in the Philippines at all. I know some friends from the Philippines, and some of them are even die-heart Super Junior fans, but they all tell me that Super Junior is unpopular in the Philippines. Some people don't even know who they are.

Super Junior, in fact,
is quite popular in the US, or should I just say California? Lol. XD
I live in Norcal, and many people (mainly Asian) know who they are, whether or not they are a fan. (Heck, I know several fanboys that really like them, lol) Nontheless, Super Junior is very liked over here in the area where I live.

I think through the internet, every artist has a possible chance of getting popular. Sometimes Asian artists lack promotion in Western countries, but I was really surprised to find groups like DBSK and Suju being super popular with Western fans. I think Suju's popularity is quite high in Asia, considering they have more exposure to the Asian entertainment industry.
In Singapore and Malaysia they are quite popular, probably because most of the people know Han Kyung as the Chinese member. Normally Singaporeans and Malaysians aren't very interested in the Korean musical industry - they are more interested in Korean dramas - so Korean singers don't really grab their attention (only a few like Rain, Se7en, DBSK). But with Han Kyung being a Chinese, the Chinese can sorta find something they could 'relate' to him. Plus, Super Junior could possibly be the biggest group that has ever been promoted widely here, so people might know them as the '13-member group'.
However, it also depends on the society people are living in. Like in my college, many people know about Suju, but they are not interested. So it gives me the feeling that they aren't very popular here.

i as a filipino dont think that Suju is not popular in the Philippines since theyre fame there is just beginning. I know a lot of people who are starting to go crazy over them.. and a few more months or even days its gonna spread around. Especially now that korean are moving to the philippines, influences from them will be very addicting in terms of music. I was actually surprised myself to kknow that a number of my friends are starting to like them too and more and more are getting familiar with Super junior, dbsk and other korean singers and actors. so i think its just a matter of time till Suju along with other famous bands like dbsk would reach fame in the philippines.

I'm from Singapore. & A BIG FAN OF SUPER JUNIOR!
I can't say if they're popular here or not.
But all I know is that,
their popularity is increasing in Singapore.
I THINK that they ARE quite popular in Singapore.
But, since Korean Music Industry is not that well-known here,
they don't really think they are popular here 'though they are.
Singapore is more into Korean Dramas, not music.
But, I know SHINHWA is REALLY POPULAR in Singapore.

is singapore in asia??? i dont think super junior is as popular in countries they dont promote themselves in.. like philippines.. not many korean celebs go there.. even if the dramas are well liked.. because there is no interest for korean celebs n entertainment to go about philippines n like singapore.. compared to like countries like japan china taiwan thailand malaysia.. korean celebs goes to those country because they know more about those countries..
korean ent. doesnt like entering places that are not familiar to koreans.. or doesnt interest koreans. which i have noticed very recently.. korean ent and artist goes to countries not just based on making profit but also to impress the korean general ppl who arent interested in celebs foreign performances to show them " look we are this"
because koreans generally dont really give much about what goes in rest of asia.. lol.

That has been obvious for me since the first day I've got into Korean entertainment. My friends are definitely one of those brain-washed fans. They would like to do ANYTHING that's related to Korea - they want to go to Korea, learn the Korean language, and try to be friends with as much Koreans as they can LOL. I guess it is a good thing, for Korea and Koreans, but sometimes, Korea should really "stretch out" more. At first, Koreans really didn't care much that involves outside of their own land. For example, we rarely hear about Chinese artists (exception of Leehom and Jay Chou) going to Korea to promote their music, but we have with Korean artists (noticebly SM's artists). It's not until recently have they started to reach out to different countires, noticebly China and Japan. Maybe it's because of Super Junior's debut (Chinese member - Hankyung) and other foreign debuts (A'ST1) in Korea.
Most artists are only popular in countries they are promoted in, let alone Super Junior. I know F4 has been popular in Philippines for a while, but after F4 stopped promoting in the Philippines, their population dropped.
ya, i'm sujufan, and live in finland. And in finland... i think here are nice bunch of fans. :3

I'll say Suju isn't as BIG as DBSK/TVXQ, cuz they debuted later. But Suju is HUGE in Asia.
They have the most fans in Korea(of course), China, Thailand, MALAYSIA(woo!me!) and also in U.S.. ;D
But of course, they're Asian, so 60% of their fans populate from Asia. ;D
Hope this helped!

I heard that Suju is quite popular in Taiwan too. Last year they perform in the Golden Melody Award (Taiwan's music award) and they were very well received there with lots of fans waiting for them outside the GMA's venue. and I think Super Junior-M album was quite popular in Taiwan, being able to be in top 3 position of various music charts.
Extra information: Taiwan host, Patty Hou, actually praised super junior for being really polite and courteous during their interview. I'm really proud of you Super Junior!!!

i tink..
if suju were to gain popularity in countries, regardless where, they definitely need to promote themselves so that pple will be aware of this group. =]
i live in singapore and though many know who is suju, they don't really know much about them..
visiting the country will certainly boost their popularity and more people will be introduced to this boy group!!
right, suju only visited a few countries..
sometimes i wonder if its the company's decision or because they don't even know that there are fans in that particular country!!
anyway, go super junior!FIGHTING!!

Well...I live in israel and even though I love SuJu they are not popular at all!
ppl in my country are very close minded [how do you say this?!]
they only let music in english and hebrew get to them.
in my school I know i'm the only one and I didn't meet any other fan in person...never!
all my affection to this group is from the internet [youtube turns out as a girl best friend hehe].
The korean industry can't grow fans here because our country is so stupid.
only american and british and every other english-speaking person can make it here between the Israeli singers and bands.
I hope my country will open her mind a little bit more, they just don't know what they miss when they grow into the Hollywood industry and stick with it!
The only asian thing that is big here is the anime.
I feel sorry for whom that miss such great music as Super Junior's [and DBSK that I love a lot] just because his stupid close mind country

I live in Canada, and they are fairly "well known" by the Asians living here, but yeah, I was wondering which is the most popular group in Asia?

Would Suju come in second? I can think of maybe Big Bang, NEWS, Fahrenheit, and some older groups like F4 and Shinhwa?

hmm, they are also pretty popular in Singapore too.
but artistes tend to neglect Singapore abit too much cos Singapore's so small.
The no. of people who turn up at the airport to see them may be thousands in Korea, but that might be the number that turns up for an autograph session in singapore cos we;re just too small. ):
And for a fanmeeting in other countries the number would be much bigger.
