Even if you are new to the world of TVB, it's not hard to notice that Linda Chung and Kate Tsui are two of the most promoted artistes now. Just want to see which one are more favourable, considering TVB promotes them and yet many people are hating them for this very reason.

For me, I'm a fan of them. Acting-wise, I am really amazed at Linda's vast improvement in AJCL and I've all along thought that her acting was pretty okay. As for Kate, she was kinda bland in BOL and exaggerated (that's probably because her character was written ridiculously) in OFTB. But she gotten the awards from two award shows and many praise for her acting in the movie. Linda still win my vote in this aspect.

But I'm more in love with Kate's beauty and look because Linda's prettyness can be sometimes common and bland.

I voted for Linda in both categories. I think Linda has tremendous improvement in terms of her acting skills from her first series I have seen her in which is "Virtues of Harmony II". Now in her most recent seires I'm watching "A Journey Called Life" which coincidentally she is also paired up with Steven Ma again, we could see some tremendous improvements from her having to portray a "bad girl" role. Her acting was very good in AJCL. Her crying skills have also improved too. You could really feel the pain in her when she cries.

As of in terms of looks, I still think Linda is better. I'm not much of a Kate fan, but to me it sometimes depends on her makeup and the style that I think she's pretty (in my opinion). But for Linda, everything suits her. Kate has improved but I don't think she has improved as much as Linda. Linda has really worked hard to have these huge improvements.

Not really a fan of either. In terms of acting, I'll say Linda purely because I see more of Linda. The last time I've seen Kate was in Steps and there wasn't much 'emotional' scenes to judge properly. Look-wise, I think neither of them has exactly the 'perfect features' but they are like a canvas for make-up artists because depending on the make up, they can look stunning/pretty/hot or just plain. Without good make up (like Kate in TA2), I think they both look...average. I like Kate's shape better and she can dance.

Hmm, I don't know why but I think Linda is really average looking even with make-up on. She has the sweet look but she is definitely not the really pretty one when you first see her. Kate looks really pretty in ancient costume and I just think that her look is pretty refreshing, that's why I voted for her.

As for acting, movies and TV must be really different considering how Kate can get both newcomers awards and Linda lost to her when she can't even do well in TV. Even as her fan, I still think her acting is really poor. Of course, I'm looking forward to her new shows to see how much she has improved. One thing about Linda is that she is willing to learn and she asks a lot of questions so that's part of why she improved so much!

I do think have both improved a lot, really a lot lately, so I appreciate both hard work & acting ^^
Somehow I think I 'liked' Kate's improvement more. I mean first I really think like 'eww' when I see her on screen. And most likely, when I really don't like someone from the very beginning, this would not change, unless this artist has seriously improved. In my eyes Kate did. She looked better ever since Steps & her acting has improved.

As for Linda, I never really 'hated' her acting that much. Her first few series weren't that good, but I was like okay. Not to mention I did like her song in the Lady in Red album (I believe that's what the album was called ) However, there's just this neutral feeling towards Linda now. Though I have to say her crying scenes have improved by a lot!

I guess I like Kate's 'change' more or it left me a better impression than Linda's. And from where Kate stands now, I think it can only get better

Also, in terms of looks. Linda looks more cute/innocent than pretty. Whereas Kate has 'improved' her looks and looks really pretty and elegant now ^^

I like Kate. In fact I like most of young actresses now (Fala, Kate, Suki, Vivien, Selena, Carrie, etc.). However, in term of acting, I vote for Linda although I dun really like her (and her chacs ). But in look, I vote for Kate. Kate looks quite pretty to me, and her figure is good. She can be sexy and pretty at the same time.

I prefer Linda over Kate for both categories. I've always liked Linda though. You can tell her acting has really improved and she's even changed her voice a bit too. She's getting really good at those emotional scenes but there is still room for improvement because she can be unconvincing at times.
Kate on the other hand I've always disliked but I'm slowly accepting her now because she's getting so much better. I think her role in OTFB really turned me off her, luckily her acting in Steps was quite alright so I feel neutral towards her now. I actually really liked her dancing in Steps, the little dance routine she had with Bernice was awesome, I loved watching them perform that.
I guess everyone has different tastes with the appearance factor so it's hard to judge who is actually "prettier". I prefer Linda's looks because she has this pretty girl next door kind of look. I still don't really see how Kate is pretty. Maybe it's just me.

For both my vote goes to Linda. I personally enjoy watching Linda more than Kate. I can't really compare the two since their characters are pretty different and I haven't really seen much of Kate to be judging.

As for looks, everyone does have different views on that. I think Linda is more pretty. Linda to me has this cute and sweet look. The girl next door kinda look lol like everyone says. She doesn't need alot to look pretty. Hmm..would natural be the right word? She looks very natural??

Kate I dunno. I never really thought she was pretty. Maybe it's the haircut she has most of the time aren't that great. I think she looks better with longer hair. She can be pretty though. I saw some pictures of her in the Four and I thought she looked quite pretty in ancient costume.

For acting wise I have voted Linda because ever since A Journey Called Life she has improved and from then on I have always liked her acting. Some say her crying skills aren't that good but I think it's realistic and she doesn't just shriek or pretend to cry without any real tears. For Kate she won a film award, (I knew she would) but that's film. Many people said Kate exgerrated in OTFB, but I actually thought she was quite funny. I didn't like her in The Brink of Law because she was a boring character and her acting was .. um not that good then. She was stiff and her crying wasn't even crying! xD I'm not saying her crying skills are bad but it's average.

For looks, I voted Kate but I'm not really sure about this one because Linda has the cute innocent look whereas Kate has the more standing out features. I think Linda looks cute and sweet while Kate looks more stern.

somehow i prefer Kate, even though i'm not a fan of either.. But linda chung's sweet look can be seen almost everywhere, it isn't that unique. Kate is rather refreshing with her roles..

i like linda more i find kate's acting very borin i dont find her acting good and yet she is in so many series... i rather watch series wit linda in them then kate. i find that kate is being promoted even more then linda, like how kate won last year most improve award i didnt expect her to win anythin. i thought bernice would have taken that award home... but she didnt

Linda is definitely better at acting at the moment, although i could see Kate is catching up. Linda started out as a pretty natural actress and the roles she was offered weren't that challenging as well. As a result, the results were acceptable for a newcomer. Kate, on the other hand, played more challenging roles and most of them weren't written to be well-liked so she exposed all her weaknesses to the viewers. That's not a very good thing for her at the moment, but i think she'll benefit from it later on.

Linda showed improvement in AJCL but if she doesn't continue to improve herself, i could foresee Kate catching up to her and even surpass her as Kate has more experience dealing with a variety of roles.

Lookwise, i'd have to agree that Linda's look is pretty common, but no one can hate a sweet face, right? She's also more photogenic. I think Kate's features are more sharp and stand out more and she looked so pretty in SOS. However, it's still Linda for me right now =)

i like linda acting skill, and her characters for now , but like i kate look , she look sexy and elegant.

linda has better quality of an actress in terms of look and acting skill. i can definitely see her progress in tvb from acting in virtues of harmony,the circus series,always ready,heart of greed and the best is in the journey called life...

whereas kate tsui, i dun really impress that much with her unconvincing acting, while some may argue that she had won newcomer award in HKFA but i still dun like her..

I'm alright with both of them, but probably much more better than Linda.
I dun really like Kate, but after a particular drama, her performance has impressed me. I forget what's the drama. But anyway, Linda give me a better feeling of better level of comfortable to watch her on screen.
And in terms of beauty, I feel Linda is prettier than Kate, cos I thought that Kate was only normal looking. Well no offence.

They both have contrasting looks. Kate has sharper look while Linda's look is more gentle. Both are pretty in their own way.

I simply hate both of them. There must be some reasons why they are promoted so heavily and I believe they are superb bootlickers. Both bootlick Ms Lok, esp Kate. Their acting skills are normal but they are promoted like crazy. Both should improve a lot because they are given a lot of opportunities. If they did not improve, there must be something wrong.

Linda acting has improved tremendously and she can cry and has more range of acting but Kate is just the same and she can't cry at all.
Kate is prettier because she has big eyes and her skin is better. Linda has oily skin.

Kate is the most terrible actress of TVB that I've ever seen

It's her role. Please divide her role and her personality. Since U dun noe Kate as a real person, you can't judge herself cuz of her role. It's very harsh. My friend met her and she is a kind girl.

I like Linda. Her acting is good but agree she does look original. On the other hand, I think Kate is ugly. Dont want to hurt any fans but i really do think so.

Kate-Did u saw her in Le Femme Desperado??her acting was like..ugh..even the way she talks annoys me LOL..but when i saw Moonlight Resonance..i was like WOW...dis girl's acting had improve so much..i think she plays evil very very well..i can say her acting as evil can almost catch up Michelle..but of coz Michelle is better..moreover, Kate is Hong Kong Film Award Best Newcomer which she beats Linda..

Linda-Good acting..can't say excellent..her performance in AJCL is kinda good..but i think she's a little bit overact there..the way she talk was like..too OVER..but well..maybe that's her character dat she has to act..and her crying scenes is too much!!over crying..but i thinks its good..espcially in Moonlight..through the whole drama..i was really piss by Linda's crying..but 1 part that she touches me with her crying is when she saw Bosco goin to England with Claire..it was touching..

Kate's acting has improve so much and fast. From her series like OTFB and Brink Of Law, I was like ''eww, her acting is...'' and then Steps which was aired in the same year I was like ''WOW ! this girl isn't Kate, is she?'' and then in 2008 her acting in SOS has improved again, she keeps improving. Linda's acting has improved much too in AJCL, her character was very challenging..

As for the look I like how Kate can be elegant and mature/pretty and young. Kate is very beautiful, her face is very unique and I like her shapes. Linda is very pretty too, and very tall but sometimes I think she looks older than she is, sometimes too mature for her age, no offense..

Linda is a better actress than Kate. her crying skils are way better. Kate cnt cry and wen she plays nice characters she is annoying. LInda on the other hand has improved so much.

Kate all the way. Can Linda act bad role? She can't. Can Kate act good girl? She can. Who is prettier, Linda has a bad nose.

Personally, I don't like them both but if I were to pick one... I would pick Kate. I think that Kate has the upper-hand in acting movies & dramas. She sometimes exaggerates, but she does know how to improve. Kate also has a bigger 後台 in the movie industry. People would do anything to work with Simon Yam.

i've choose linda for both...she is alot prettier than kate tsui and act alot better....u can see her act and playing different roles exceptionally....for example the one where she was a mobile saleswomen and then become married to that guy who indents on rock (sorry, can't remember the name)...to compare this to is the mooncake/ bau you drama, u can see she can act all different roles and she has great manners when acting on set...maybe also off set...

i don't like kate tsui at all...she can't act...and she is not pretty...sorry to anyone who actually like her...if there are any...
