A Sequel to “D.I.E” ConfirmedCredit: Serena @

MingPaoThe results for Roger Kwok and Sonija Kwok’s series “D.I.E” were ideal. It became 2008’s highest ratings series. Last night, TVB had Stephan Chen lead a special celebration banquet for all the hardworking cast and workers in Tseung Kwan O. During the banquet, Stephan announced that there would be a sequel to “D.I.E”. Stephen knew that Roger was going to be a dad soon so he made arrangements for the series to be aired sooner. The series reaped the rewards of promotions so he made special thanks to Roger and his son, Brad. They released pictures at the right time with the media.
Roger expressed that he doesn’t want to have a son in the sequel because he is afraid of filming scenes with little children. He also has to look at everyone’s schedule because he would be filming in mainland China soon. He will miss his son when he films in mainland China. The reporter asked if he would consider naming his son “High Ratings” Kwok. Roger said: “Actually, I already personally gave him a Chinese name. His name is 郭令山. The character 令 means to lead others. The character 山 means to be stable like a mountain. I choose the name and hope that my son will have everything that we give him. Hopefully no one objects to the name.”

In D.I.E. which aired in April, 2008 the cast were
Roger Kwok, Sonija Kwok, Margie Tsang, Derek Kwok, Kenneth Ma, Rain Lau, Mimi Lo, Nancy Wu, Ha Ping, Siu Yee, Chun Wong, Shui Nei, Lee Fung,Tim Lee, Queenie Chu, Joe Junior, Stephen Wong, Wong Ching, Lee Kwok Lun

Wow, the decided on a sequel to D.I.E. already. I mean how long has it been finish airing. I guess TVB won't miss this chance since the ratings for the prequel was so high. I really hope the original cast would be in it. I want to see Roger come back again.

I didn't like this series at all. So I am surprised they are planning to make another sequel. I mean how are they going to make another sequel if Roger is dead? Or are they going to make a complete different storyline with the original cast like they are doing with Burning Flames?
It doesn't matter to me if they making a sequel because I won't be watching it.

Erm, no. Actually, because of the popularity of D.I.E in hk, prior to the airing of the last episode, where Roger was set to die, the producers decided to film an alternative ending - Roger lived on. In fact, based on the votes of the hk audience (I think), they chose to air the happy ending where Roger lived. So they will be basing the sequal on that ending.
Wow. I'm surprised they announce this so quickly too! I really liked D.I.E (the series as a whole)... not so much either of the endings though... so it'll really depend on what the sequel is going to be about. =x

I loved the alternative ending for D.I.E. It was so funny. I can't believe that Bobby's character in Dicey Business is actually the person who killed Roger! lol of course it was not him because i saw the man coming out of the car and phoned the ambulance when Roger was killed but it was a good way to end it by having such a popular actor like Bobby to be a special guest!

Jun 4 2008 9 38 AM
Wow, I never saw that alternative ending

Really? Bobby was in the cameo? I must try to find that alternative ending and watch it! Good to hear that Roger's character lived on, and they will have a sequel.

I didnt like either endings, but I particularly dont like the second one, it was kinda random, but I guess dat they hav to base it on roger not dying, cant wait for it tho, hope it is as gud as da first one

I enjoyed the show though the endings was kind of disappoingting. I am kind of disappointed seeing the ending , there is no need to end it in such a miserable way , I used to think it was a humourous one , but the ending ruined it all . But well , let's wait and see what the producer gonna make it in the sequel . I hope the sequel wiil be with the same cast . I am totally pissed off with Forensic Heroes II when all my favourite actors were changed , I definitely think the cast play the most important role in deciding the success of the drama. They cant just change them all, if the cast cant afford to attend , then shoot another one with new cast ...it's pointless doing a sequel with totally different cast

( or at least the producer use the prequel's name to assure the high rating

). I am anticipating for this one though .

Wow, D.I.E sequel? Thats cool! So it means Roger did not die in the first one?
I hope the original cast stays the same. Not like forensic heroes 2, how they made Linda the guest star.

Oooh a sequel! I hope Roger will be in it, it'll be a shame if he isn't in the sequel, but it's going to be hard to since Roger's character died. Unless they continue the story with the alternate ending or a completely new storyline.
Hopefully the sequel will be good as D.I.E. 1.

Sonjia Kwok's 34th Birthday; D.I.E II Starts in NovemberYesterday was Sonjia Kwok's 34th birthday, she posted a picture of her and her mother cutting a birthday cake together on her blog. Turns out that her fans already celebrated with her earlier and gave her many small handmade gifts. She was very touched.
Sonjia also says that she needs to treat a meal, she explains that: "earlier 'D.I.E' TV Ratings were good, I promised to treat everyone to a meal, thanking them for their support." "D.I.E" boardcast ratings have been impressive, she will be preparing to film the sequel in November, Sonjia excitely said: "this is my first time filming a sequel, its Roger who brought luck to me. Couldn't believe became TV Queen, working hard to get audience to agree, just I will continue to work hard!" As for Roger Kwok also laughed that he hopes to add "new blood" (newcomers), he smiled: "including me as being Red, adding more pretty girls would be nice, how about Ma Choi, she started out in acting, there is enough fresh feeling there."

I have so many questions when is come to a sequel of this series... for one thing will they have the same cast or will it be like the a whole different thing... becuase all the loose ends were tied, they even disbanded the D.I.E group. Who will be the main chars??? will it be sonija?? she is a hot and all, but wut will she do? Will it be their son??? haha so many questions on how it would work... hahaha crazy...
I guess not knowing what will happen in the series will make me want to watch it more, but not knowing wut to expect? hmm interesting.. i think it would be awesome if there were previews.. so anyone who knows of previews to come please post. I would greatly appreciate it. =o) hahaah thanks

I don'tunderstand why TVb made such a quick decision to to DIE 2....I didn't find the series very good at all..Perhpas the rating was high because HK people like mystery series...ghost stuff? Can't imagine that the "ghost--siu yee" is nominated for most fav. char. this year. Oh my goodness!

Sonija Kwok will work with a baby, Roger Kwok who is experienced will give guidanceSource: Wenweipo
English Translation: Matchbox770 @
mediachamber.netSonija Kwok and Roger Kwok will work together again next month for the TVB series (D.I.E 2). Yesterday both of them were at TVB City to film the Sales Presentation. This time they will work with a baby. The baby in the series is psychic and can help Roger Kwok solve crimes. Yuen Siu Yee who played a ghost in the previous series will be reincarnated and play a human.
Sonija Kwok indicated she will start to film the series next month. As for having many scenes with a baby, it was very fortunate that Roger Kwok who is used to taking care of his own baby was there to assist. She said "The baby is already very well behaved. In addition, Roger Kwok who is professional has been giving guidance about Baby Psychology while filming. Regardless whether the baby needs milk, he knows very clearly. That is why filming has been particularly successful".
Roger Kwok's other new series (Last One Standing) has become last weeks top rating series. The series will broadcast its final episode on Saturday. He hopes that it will have an even better result. The reporter asked if this had increased his confidence in winning the Best Male award? "It will depend on the audience votes, but this year competition is very competitive. The series (Moonlight Resonance) is very extraordinary".
When asked about hot favourite Raymond Lam being reported being late and playing game consoles while filming and affecting his chances of winning. The reporter laughed and asked if this will increase his confidence? Roger Kwok immediatley laughed and joked if it was real then he will buy more consoles for his colleagues. He said he sees Raymond Lam and Kevin Cheng receiving the TV King award. As for Moses Chan since he always says he doesn't need it, then he shouldn't be given it.
