hmm...i'm not sure how i feel about her. i get mixed feelings. i like seeing her act with Vic, but from some of the quotes i've read by her, she sounds a little conceited. argh, but that's the thing about celebs...you never get to find out what their true personalities are.

I always know she was a complete conceited bitach with attitude problems..her face tells it all "I"M ALL THAT" "I WANT and I WILL GET IT" "I"M SO PRETTY".

One of the show BArbie was in,she talked about how she hated people saying that her skin's dark,or fat.In the "kangxi" show where she was interviewed.Zaizai told us that BArbie got mad because he told her that he saw a piece of fat on her leg then barbie ignored her for a few days.And BArbie's sister said that BArbie is very commanding at home.When they go shopping,dee hsu and her older sister has to hold all the bags for Barbie....I think this is why xlilangel713x doesn't like her.

I don't hate her but IMHO, she is definitely not pretty, or even decent looking. I couldn't stand her in MG 1 or 2 either. It seemed far fetched that two such fine guys would fight over her. I also wanted Ye Sa to end with Ah Si in the end.

Well I think she pretty plain, and her acting in meteor garden doesn't really shows much talent, lots of other less pretty actress could have done it too. she just lucky to have the role, but whoa, are those rummers about kangxi true? guess she is a b*t*he then. it not like she have anything to be arrogant about, if she thinks she the best because of those few tv show, she need to look at her competors again, but then i think the rest are way beyond her league.
as for fatness, well the idols are always concious about how fat they are, vic is a bit over board to comment on that, all girls don't like it, but having a temper over one comment says alot about her charactor, she really needs to watch herself.

She can be picky but she has her reasons, so I think everyone should respect it. Totally agree. High standards may lead people to think "oh, she's biitchy" or "bossy"...but if it is was you in Barbie's place and didn't want to do something against your will, wouldn't you not do it? Unless people know Barbie personally, I think it's unfair to criticize her. Talking sarcastically could just be a front because she's afraid of getting hurt. It's easier to get unattached to people or to keep yourself safe if you keep your distance. Normal people do that too, not just celebrities. A personal life is a lot harder to life because you're always under scrutiny for every small thing you do. And people who don't even know you criticize you just because you're doing your job or you're protecting yourself, or for their own personal enjoyment.

A great actress doesn't need to be beautiful. Look at Whoopi Goldberg [no offense Whoopi], or Susan Sarandon [no offense Susan] or Meryl Streep [no offense Meryl]. They're all amazing actresses, but it's not like they have the most perfect looking body or face.

As for the hair thing, there's a Chinese saying that the way a girl wears her hair or takes care of it is a reflection of her respect for her parents.

The plot which MGI was based off of required a girl who wasn't necessarily attractive on the outside, but had a lot of inner beauty and strength. They wanted to focus on the PERSONALITY of the characters instead of their outer shell, because that was what the plot required. Also, they had to downplay Barbie's makeup and wardrobe, etc for her to achieve this look.

as an actress.. I think Da S is pretty good.. I really liked Mars and you could tell there was more emotion applied to this role than MG.. not that she is A-list..

Yes, but who said Barbie only cares about her looks? She is an endorser for beauty products probably because she can make a living that way. Besides, who wouldn't mind getting free beauty products? I certainly wouldn't. They'd make great Christmas presents for friends because I don't use them.

Actually I like here after watching MG1, but as soon as I saw those NGs of MG1 with her interview things changed a bit. One thing about the riding the scooter, she said that she didn't have time to train for it . On the NG/behind the scenes of Mars, Zaizai was quoted as saying that she wouldn't touch anything two wheels. Barbie should have admitted in the first place that she's scared of riding those motorcycles (even during MG1).
I find her pretty before but if you get to see her often she becomes sorta an ordinary face for me. But really if you are considered beautiful it will not only be on (outside) appearance alone , it should also be the inside too.
