I know that my personality is very despicable but that doesn't bother me because I don't need anyone. By myself, I can accomplish every job. Especially the one which I care most in this life, "Heaven's Fragrance Floor" 《天香樓》. Even more, I will not let people handle my tasks. That's the only thing my father left me with - it's my life. I don't permit any person to ruin it, only I can cause it to shine and dazzle with brightness! This way of thought also let those around who never treat me good with a true heart, only those momentarily flattering people! I don't feel it's a problem since there's no need for them to do anything. Nevertheless, there will be someone to take care of trivial matters for me. Just let them run after me, I'm not inferior!

Chen Yu Shan expressed that the next drama (after FTLY) "Wo Ai Shan Bao Mei" will be funnier and promised Chen Qiao En that she will let her first see the script and storyline. TTV & SETTV's idol drama《命中注定我愛你》"Fated to Love You" achieved extreme high ratings. However, follow-up drama 《我愛三寶妹》"I Love Shan Bao Mei" 's female lead was tough to hunt for. The choice candidate changed from Cyndi Wang, Joe Chen to Ariel Lin. Up till now, it was decided to be music circle's newcomer, Amber Guo Cai Jie. She will partner with Nicholas Teo and they will both team up to make a fresh new pairing.

（Kuala Lumpur） A drama starring together Nicholas Teo and Amber Guo, "Invincible Shan Bao Mei" 《無敵珊寶妹》will be replacing the show "Fated to Love You" which has the current extreme high rating in Taiwan starting the end of July. Being the main male lead for the second time, Nicholas frankly remarked that he has no rating pressure but only worrying that he lacked the ability to successfully portray the drama's narcissistic and haughty character.
《Fated to Love You》has been gaining high level of popularity ever since it was aired with rating breaking ten. "Invincible Shan Bao Mei" 《無敵珊寶妹》which cast includes Nicholas Teo, Amber Guo, Roy Chiu and others will be taking over. It has been winning everyone's attention before shooting even commences.
Nicholas expressed through his manager, Li Sook-Teng that drama rating has never been his pressure. “According to his views, a show's achievement or loss is not only one of the cast's problem. He thinks that rating is not something he can have control over so his sole pressure rests on the worry whether he is able to act out his character well."
《無敵珊寶妹》's cast has just undergo costume ordering last Friday. For the time being, the drama team has decided for shooting to formally begin in early July. Sook-Teng disclosed that the overall production crew had their first meeting just last Friday. Nicholas had only then been informed of the personalities relating to the drama's characters.
“In the show, Nicholas will play a business owner as well as a famed host. He is narcissistic and arrogant. That is why his name will right away be known as 'Invincible' (無敵). Such character is a huge difference compared to Nicholas' real attitude. Thus, it's a great challenge for him. He's presently working hard on sorting out his own frame of mind.”
As to whether Nicholas will do the same as Ethan Ruan in making rating promises? “Wait till the rating breaks record and we'll talk again then！”Sook-Teng laughingly said.

Smiling Pasta 《微笑Pasta》which starred Nicholas in 2006 soared in ratings. After a period of 2 years, he is now to accept a rather harsh challenge. He is to play a character he described as "narcissistic and hated by people". "Meantime, I've only seen the front part of script. This renowned host's character who doesn't lack a single thing causes him to be arrogant. Even his name is also called 'Invincible' ( 無敵). So you can picture how narcissistic he is."
Nicholas is currently in Taipei preparing for the shooting work of 《無敵珊寶妹》. During his phone interview, he described Amber Guo as a very well-disciplined girl. "This is her first time acting so her mood is a little nervous. She's very well-disciplined and well-behaved. I believe during this period of 5 months, we will be very happy working together." Their pairing has been described by the media as "another kind of older sister-younger brother relationship". 《無敵珊寶妹》is Roy Chiu's first drama after completing his military service and pointed out as competing with ex-flame Rainie Yang's "Bad Campus Belle" 《不良笑花》so deeply attracting attention. Will Nicholas be worried that the focus will be placed on Roy Chiu? Nicholas expressed, "If this will make everyone more concerned about this show, that will be great. He expressed that shooting a drama has always been a team work and doesn't rely on a person solely. "Due to the reason that the character's personality and matching between artistes are very fresh, I have confidence in this show. On the other hand, Huang Guo Lun who originally was one of the cast, felt that portion of film was not enough and has opted out of it.
Nicholas Teo once tried his hands on Smiling Pasta 《微笑PASTA》and has obtained not bad responses, offering him courage to accept "Invincible Shan Bao Mei"《無敵珊寶妹》. However, after he had seen the script and discovered the male lead Sun Wu Di 「孫無敵」is narcissistic and a domineering culinary program host. Each time he appears, he will perform a popular and energetic Love Flower Blossoms 「情花開」dance. Also, kissing with female lead and nude scenes startled him and caused the intention of him quitting.
Nicholas' manager, Su-Ting explained：「Not the thought of quitting，only the character has differences compared to what was in mind. After communicating with Sanlih, there's no more problem。」These few days, the drama team arranged for the whole cast to attend performance lessons to build up tacit understanding and this let Nicholas to have no worry.
Apart from such, the recently popular Jing Xing Ting Boys「景行廳男孩」also have a part in the show. Liang He Qun will play the female lead's brother while Zhao Zheng Ping and Lin Zhi Xian will play muddled kidnappers. As for Huang Guo Lun who was originally-planned to act as a teacher, he felt that the guesting role was too heavy so refused to take part. wow! i'm anxious to see this drama! Nic and Cyndi really did have chemistry in Smile Pasta and I think it'll boost up their fans if they collaborate together again! So happy that Nic will be acting again. I think this is his second Idol Drama? I personally think that fans will like it more if Cyndi acted as the main female lead for Cyndi has acted as a couple with Nic in Smile Pasta.. whereas, Qiao En has been seen more with Ming Dao... and recently Ruan Jin Tian... but yeah, i prefer Cyndi and Nic =)
hmm, they said that the bisceps require a while of time to achieve, but they don't have the time, so might use make up... does that mean that they'll be starting to film this drama soon! i'm sure that the female lead will be confirmed soon. ^_______________^

Oh my gosh! I'm SO excited! We get to see Nic & Cyndi on-screen together again. That is if she does decide to take up the role. This is a reallyy good opportunity for her to play a different role.. like as opposed to those cutesy roles-- that's the impression people get from her, that all she can play is those cute-girl roles.
And I read that QiaoEn is also a rumored candidate? QiaoEn is suitable for the role, I think, but I'm not too sure how I'd feel about her taking up the role..

There's something that someone else brought up in another thread-- they're probably just using QiaoEn's name to advertise the drama. To attract more attention and promote. And I think that is indeed the case.

LOL, why does the title reminds me of something really old-fashioned? Anyways, I LOVE NICHOLAS TEO SO MUCH! I loved him in Smiling Pasta. However, I'm not too keen on Cyndi. I wasn't a fan of her acting in Smiling Pasta. And I'm sorry to say this, but I didn't really see any chemistry between them. I would rather have Qiao En. She's quite good in Fated to Love You. Oh well, still really looking forward to this because of the gorgeous Nicholas. <3

YAY! nic teo is filming a second drama! smiling pasta was one of my favorite taiwanese dramas. i hope he will collaborate with cyndi again. cyndi with biceps, i wonder how that's going to turn out. chen qiao en is a good actress but i think it's about time that cyndi acts in a drama. last year, there were news about her filming a drama with rainie yang and elva hsiao called "fresh tomato with sauce," but that somehow got canceled. i am totally anticipating this and i hope that they pick cyndi!

Wow! That was fast for starting this thread. But anyway, really looking forward to more news and hoping it's Cyndi too since both she and Nic has been focusing on their singing for the most part and haven't seen them at all last year....so...of course crossing my fingers to hope it work out. And I agree that seeing QE everywhere might have the effect too, like how it does w/ some HK stars being everywhere (like it was the case being discussed in that forum).

I wish there was more info on this... I've been wanting to see Nic in something else for a while now. I've been wondering what he's been up to. I think the funniest thing is the fact that he's not that cute, he has a very unique face, but I really liked him in Smiling Pasta.
I really don't care if Cyndi or Qiao En gets the role. I personally think it would be nice to see him with someone new. I think Qiao En would look good with Nic, plus she's a really good actress. Qiao En also has an interesting looking face so they might look really awesome together.
Like I said, I wish there was more info on this drama, but I guess it's too soon. I'll be keeping my eye on this thread, I can't wait to see Nic in another drama.

I think both Cyndi and Qiao En are confirmed to be not taking on this drama The news I read yesterday said that Tammy Chen will be taking on the drama instead. After Cyndi decided to drop this drama to go New York or somewhere else instead in June and Qiao En couldn't take on this drama with FTLY being the one it takesover.

i think cyndi should really act in this drama. it just might be the next high rating drama after fated to love you. she can study and travel in new york anytime, but nick teo and the rest of the cast cannot wait for her.

ya that is correct, so sad, if this is meant to be a sequel then thy sld discuss it further with cyndi, maybe compromise with her. Tammy Chen is not confirm yet though, the director wants her but i'm not sure if her company has agreed
I wonder who's going to get the girl role. SETTV always have such high quality series, and I'm an avid fan of them so I'll probably be following this. It's sad tho that qiaoen rejected the offer. she's such a fine actress.

yes, i believed that artiest must always try to moved in another genre of dramas...even when the idol drams she has always get high ratings but an artists must grow in their careers too.
That is also for that reason why Ariel Lin is heads up to do LCOH because she believed this will make another development in her career instead of viewers remembering her in ISWAK and TKA. She also know fro a fact it is a gamble .
I believed must really take a risk coz when they are successful..it is at their advantage and if not at least they did it and it is indeed an experience

I've seen her on Mo Fan Bang Bang Tang before... I think she's the cute type too? That was my impression from that episode anyway
I'm really interested in how Roy will do in this drama. i like him in the summer something drama with Rainie.
The three main cast that we have now are mainly singers though I think? I'm quite sure Roy has albums out too.

Not to be overly pessimistic or anything, but this seems like a suicide squad to me.
If they air after FTLY, they'll be up against Hotshot. The sheer number of teengaged fangirls from Chun, Jerry & Show would drown out any competition.
Nicholas might be cute and all, but the female lead is an unknown and the Roy Chiu has not done anything for 4 yrs. To rely on the fanbase of Nicholas seems... really risky. Then again, Set TV's scripts were always outstanding.
Despite that, I don't think it's going to be much defense against the onslaught of the 3 pretty boys.
On a brighter note, I don't think that Hotshot will achieve higher ratings than FTLY cos the series are ending anyway. I'll rather find out how an interesting series end before starting a new one. What's a few missing eps, esp when I can watch it online? But after FTLY ends, Hotshot is on my no. 1 to watch list. Unless it sucks horribly, like Romantic Princess (which is likely since it's by the same director), otherwise, it's gonna be a bigger hit than ILSBM.
I hope they give us some idea what to expect from ILSBM. Hope it's nothing like that series with Alex To & Ambrose Hsu. That was... sleep-inducing.

To add on... although Amber is a newcomer, her popularity is definitelyyyy on the rise over in Taiwan. She has a really sweet voice naturally ("dia dia" de), and I read some reports about how guys are CRAZY about her/her voice. Plus, although she's like super-cute, she has an edge to her, too. She writes a lot of her own music, for one thing, and she actually dresses like a tomboy most of the time.
I do think it's going to be a risky move... putting Nicholas and Amber, who is practically brand new to acting (she's starred in several MV's-- Tank's, Stefanie Sun's-- in the past, but that's not exactly the same thing) up against heavyweight Hot Shot. But I don't mind Amber, and I hope others will give her a chance... let her acting be the deciding factor
Although I really dislike the way SETTV has tried to promote this series thus far. Pulling in the names of various actresses just to build up anticipation... And I'm sad, too, that Cyndi won't be in this after all. Totally built up my hopes :\

So the female lead is 郭采潔 / Amber Kuo Cai Jie in ILSBM.
Born February 19, 1986, Amber Kuo is a Taiwanese pop singer and is widely known for her cute image with mature and powerful vocal. Amber is currently a year four student in National Taipei University pursuing a Degree in Social Work.
Let's see what 'on-screen' chemistry she will have with Nic
It's kind of risky to air after FTLY now they have broke the record high of 10.93% and relying on Nic's fanbase may help a fair bit.

I've heard some of Amber's songs before so I think she's a pretty good singer. Hopefully she's a good actress also. I'll probably watch the series, just because Nicholas is in it.

Woah~ It's gonna air after FTLY?? That's a VERY risky move.. Since Hot Shot will be airing at the same time~ It'll be like counting on Nic's fanbase alone.. Claire is a new comer so she is trying to gain fans from this drama.. As for Roy,,,, Well, he's been away from the industry for so long.. but it's good that he's learning to act~

at long last a new female lead in the person of amber.. but i am not that familiar with her and also with the other cast.. haven't seen them act.. including nic (I am still planning to watch Sp but i have no free time yet..) i don't know how well they will do in terms of popularity and ratings as well.. aside from the fact they really lack promotions.. hot shots, which will they be against.. i think..already started their promotions a long time ago.. it's about time they should started promoting this..
btw, what is this show all about?? haha haven't read much news about the story..

The girl is cute, I already like her... well her look. I think this drama will be very interesting as long as Amber can act well enough.
I don't think it airing after Fated to Love You could hurt this drama at all, it can only help it. All the people watching Fated to Love You will be watching the previews and will try out the new drama. That means A LOT of people will be watching the first episode. And if the drama is good enough, it can draw a big crowd. Really the only thing to worry about is people comparing the two dramas, which I doubt will happen. I don't think anyone expects ANOTHER 'FTLY' rated drama right after it.
I'm looking forward to this. I've missed Nick!

I'm actually excited for this new drama. Although we aren't given a storyline yet, I am interested to see how Nicholas does with Amber. Smile Pasta was okay, (even though I don't like Cyndi) and Nicholas did a good job. So I'm glad it's not Cyndi as the leading actress. At first I didn't know who Amber was, but when I researched some stuff about her and listen to her songs, I think she's very cute and has potential. She has a great voice too!
As for it airing after FTYL, it's a mixed bag for me. It could either help it or hurt it. And if it's going to go up against Hot Shot, it might not do as well since Jerry, Show, and Wu Zhun are very very famous compared to the cast of this drama... But I'm still looking forward to seeing this drama!

^Hmm...maybe not? I don't know. A lot of rumors kept flying around FTLY lately that it's hard to say. But whichever. I just wish they stop dragging FTLY in to make this one look like it's getting attention from that (which I hope not!).
I've been watching this thread mostly without replying, but I got to say that I'm one of those that won't be looking forward to Hot Shot and I'm more towards seeing how the plot unfold than dreading the ratings. But if I must, I have to say hope the ratings will be somewhat decent.
Aside from that, I'm looking forward to this one still considering it's a fresh pairing. (And I don't know why people complain about Nic's acting sooo much since although he's not that attractive but he is considered decent since Smiling Pasta was his first drama after all. Not saying anyone in this thread or forum, but different places that I read it.)

I have come across criticisms about him too. I can't say I'm totally not agreeing to them but since I like Nic, it's hurting to read those stuff. He's not an actor but a singer to start with.
