The day filmed fashion show scene for Heart of Greed II, we at the same time filmed the opening.
Director asked Tavia and Kate to do silly (鬼馬) expressions behind me.
Their expressions are really very funny, every time after the director calls cut, crew and mall spectators couldn't help laughing.

The 27th Annual Hong Kong Film Awards ceremony will be held this Saturday night on April 12. Best New Performer nominee Kate Tsui Tsi San went to a Chaume jewelry store in Central district to select diamond accessories to wear for the event.

Kate said that there will definitely be a celebratory dinner held afterwards, indicating her confidence in snagging the Best New Performer award. Kate is the hot favorite to win the award this year.

While at the jewelry store, Kate tried on Southeast Asian pearl earrings and a diamond bracelet. The jewelry were valued over $5 million (HKD).

Although dubbed as the front runner in winning the Best New Performer award, Kate said, "Since my parents do not want to give me any pressure, we will not be attending the awards ceremony together. I don't want to dwell on the awards too much. Otherwise I will become too nervous!"

"However, [TVB] will definitely organize a celebration afterwards. This is the first time Linda Chung Ka Yan and I have been nominated as Best New Performer in the Hong Kong Film Awards. Whether we win or not, we should celebrate!"

Numerous female celebrities will wear sponsored designers evening gowns for the awards ceremony. Charlene Choi will wear Kenzo, Karen Mok Man Wai will wear Roberto Cavalli, Gigi Leung Wing Kei will wear Loewe, Miriam Yeung Chin Wah will wear Yves Saint Laurent, while the Master of Ceremony, Carol Dodo Cheng Yu Ling will wear Chanel.

Gordon Chan, the organizer of the Hong Kong Film Awards ceremony and also Chairman of the Hong Kong Film Directors' Guild, mentioned that performing guests will include Ronald Cheng Chung Kei, Denise Ho, Kary Ng etc. A Professional Spirit Award will be awarded to the late Lydia Shum Din Ha.

Honorary guests who will be distributing the award include Shu Qi, Aaron Kwok Fu Sing, Gigi Leung Wing Kei etc.

Kate Tsui Double The Celebrations

Kate Tsui won Best Newcomer Award depending on her movie "Eye In The Sky", last night she attended the celebration party, Director Yau Nai Hoi winning "Best New Director Award" congratulated Kate. As on the 14th, it was Yau Nai Hoi's birthday, everyone also celebrated with him. But, Kate did not know it was his birthday and did not prepare any gift, she smiles and said how about she gives him her award. Yau Nai Hoi then told her that he'll bring it home and put it up for a short while, that would be enough.

Afterwards, Kate had to rush back for another celebration with her friend, Matthew Ko also congratulated her. When Kate arrived, there were 10+ fans who immediately gave her champaign, there was one fan who didn't get the champaign in time for her and became very sad then started crying. Kate immediately went to comfort her, then the fan successfully got to take a picture with Kate and became joyful.



Kate said when she gets home, she will go online immediately to contact her mom. As for her dad, he did watch TV and knows that she won the award. Speaking of Linda Chung losing, did she comfort her? Kate smiles and said that there is no need, they are all colleagues, will continue to work hard, hopefully in the future there will be an opportunity to collaborate with Linda on TV, Film or in both. Will she collaborate with Milky Way Image (HK film company) again? Kate laughed and said that if theres a script by Yau Nai Hoi that attracts her, she would definitely say yes, but don't know if its because she was drunk.

As for the award being placed at home, she smiles and said that she'll be hugging it. In the future her goal is to get the Best Actress award? She said she never thought of it, because its too far away. Asked if she felt like crying when she won? Kate said that seeing so many people caring for her, when everyone were hugging she did feel touched, did feel a bit like wanting to cry.

As for Linda Chung although she did not win, but did not feel disappointed, she feels happy for Kate. She will continue to work hard.

Wow, Kate is really pretty but she's everywhere now. Kate overload.

I'm so happy Kate won a HKFA; unfortunately I wasn't able to catch it live. TVB Awards may be of dubious credibility, but a HKFA is something else!

To be very honest, I never really liked some of her TVB work (read: Brink of Law and On the First Beat) but I always thought she had some talent that TVB didn't know how to tap, what with the lousy roles and lousy direction. Maybe people will stop knocking my - apparently horrendous - taste now.

Kate teased Kenneth Ma for not admitting he is dating

Kate Tsui, Kenneth Ma, Matthww Ko and Kingdom Yuen were promoting Speech of Silence( 甜言蜜語 ) in Sai Kung yesterday. Kate and Kenneth were being photographed together, Kingdom urged them to kiss. Kate said " we have worked together for many tv series, we had made a plege to be brothers, there won't be any rumours." Kenneth smiled, saying taht he did have a static feel for her , but Kate didn't take nany notice of him. He stated " she is beautiful and talented, can you please ask her why she didn't take any notice of me.?" Kate replied, you denied dating and now you want to create rumours." Kate explained that actually likes the sporty type.

Speech of silence is following Money maker-recipe, it is also the first time Kenneth and Kate play a major role together. Kenneth Ma swoons over Kate Tsui's dancing

The cast of Speech of Silence were promotion the series yesterday. It was the 5th time Kate and Kenneth had worked together. They were wearing identical trainers. Kenneth said "We had played the role of brother and sister, a couple and lovers before, we are well suited to work together." He admitted he was attracted by Kate's dancing . " After I had entered Strictly Come Dancing, I realize how to appreciate the attraction of a girl's dancing. TVB new series “美麗高解像” had an costume fitting yesterday. The cast included Kate Tsui, Sharon Chan and Christine Ng etc. In this series Kate Tsui will play an character that has an ambition to get into the entertainment circle. After many years of hard work she finally succeeds to become the queen of television.

Sharon Chan will play a villainess role and will be an drug addict with Stephen Huynh. Sharon states that she finds playing a drug addict quite exciting. She feels the role is very challenging. In the series Sharon was originally the Top TV Fa Dan, however her status was taken away by Kate Tsui. Therefore she secretly creates evil plots to ruin Kate’s life. But due to things not going her way she starts to take drugs and eventually becomes a drug addict. Sharon had been watching several movies involving drug addicts to take note of their acting. (Asked whether she would take drugs for real so she knows how it feels, for a better understanding on how to act the role?) Sharon says she will definitely not try any drugs and Television has it’s limits and criteria. But movies are different and people can attempt to do anything “In real life I will not take drugs but playing an character is different. It’s exciting and challenging at the same time. I won’t be affected by it because it’s not real”. Sharon expresses she had always wanted to play an evil role. She claims that the audience are clever enough to know she is just acting.

Kate’s character is very weak and will often be bullied and teased. But she claims that she is very lucky as she had never had that kind of experience when she entered the industry. Kate Tsui would like the robot to do her housework

Kate Tsui attended the " Robotic athletes design competition " opening ceremony in China Hong Kong City yesterday. She and the designers were discussing the details of the competition. She picked up a robot and expressed that she could do with a robot who can do her household chore. Especially after her sister had a baby, she really needs to have someone to help out with the house work. It would be ideal if the robot can do it.

Second Complaint : The Show, Speech Of Slience is about the sound disabled people. There was a complaint by the audience saying that the actors and actress look more like people with mental problems. The sign language is inaccurate and the show had made some people feel that it does not have any respect for the deaf. Many people had boycotted the show and had almost caused a protest.

Producer : I have done all information research and was prepared

The producer of this show responded to the complaints. He stated that he filmed this drama because he wanted to promote to the public about the lives of disabled people. The importance of communicating and the patience of listening. He hopes the audience that had made the complaints will be patient and watch the whole series, instead of just seeing a few episodes and making a complaint.

Because the show is about the disabled people, the producer discloses before they shot this series he had made alot of information research regarding this show. He had met with the disabled society and organizations. He had also arranged Kate Tsui to meet with the real disabled people.
Regarding the complaint that the actors look stupid, the producer disagrees with the complaint. He says the actors that played the mute and deaf in the series are students of the sign language school, they are experienced about the sign language. The big actions they had made when communicating the sign language is normal and they are not insulting the disabled.

Kate Tsui stated that when she is doing sign language in the show, there is a professional instructor to teach her.

Kate Tsui competes in an pageant again, bringing back old memories

Kate Tsui was at TVB City yesterday filming new series " 美 麗 高 解 像". The storyline consists of Kate competing in a pageant to step into the entertainment industry. Kate who won Miss Hong Kong a few years felt rather emotional while filming the scenes about competing in a pageant. She says " In the series, I will be contestant #6 but in real life I was also #6 for Miss Hong kong. This is my lucky number. Kate states that the filming isn't too much hard work so far. But in later scenes she will have to wear ancient costume's which is very uncomfortable in summer weather because its too hot. ^ I don't think her character in MR is that bad as can be compared to Michelle's. She turned out that way because no one taught her from young but she will become good after many things happened to her.

Leon Lai will judge the contestants based on "Fresh impressions" as a Miss Hong Kong Judge

Miss Hong Kong Pageant 2008 will take place on Saturday 19th July. Yesterday the 12 contestants met the panel of judges for the first time. Leon Lai and Olivia Cheng will be a few of the judges this year. The contestants will first score points based on first impressions with the judges. Leon expressed that he didn't read any negative news on the Miss Hong Kong contestants this year. His scoring will be based on a fresh first impression of the constestants. This would mean that Edelweiss Cheung, #4 Samantha Ko and #8 Angela Yiu's points scoring would not be affected by the earlier negative reports.

The criterion is based on Confidence and calmness

It's Leon's first time being a Miss Hong Kong judge. He stated that it was his first time meeting the 12 contestants yesterday. "Beauty and intelligence is the slogan for Miss Hong Kong. Personally, the criterion is based on (Confidence) and (Self control), if they are calm enough then they will win. "
(Which Contestant had left a good impression on you?) "It's the first time I have seen them on stage, I will not comment on that because if I say too much it will affect their performance.
