Pre-Debut
In early 2000, Park Jung-su was scouted by a talent agent in Myeongdong. He was asked to audition for the Starlight Casting System 2000, which soon signed him into SM Entertainment that same year. Park made an extremely brief cameo appearance in the MBC Korean drama All About Eve in 2000 and was also a model for Pepsi. He was then put into a five-member boy band along with his future Super Junior bandmate, Donghae by his talent agency before this idea was dropped. Some of the names for this group were OK, Pricor and Smile. After he was put in Super Junior, Park wanted a stage name similar to Kangta and thus chose the name Leeteuk. Teuk, which means "special." This was explained on "Happy Together Friends" (watch it here).

Debut
On November 6, 2005, Leeteuk as a part of Super Junior officially debuted on SBS's Popular Songs performing the group's first single "TWINS (Knock Out)." Being the oldest of the group, Leeteuk was chosen to be the leader of Super Junior, leading and guiding the group in media interviews and schedules. Since the debut of Super Junior, Leeteuk has been a regular MC for M.NET's M!Countdown along with Super Junior members Kang-In and Shindong. However, since late 2006, Eunhyuk replaced Kang-In's position. Due to concert tour schedules and preparations for the new album, Leeteuk, Shindong, and Eunhyuk decided to leave their MC seats, their last day on March 27, 2008. Along with Eunhyuk, Leeteuk is also the DJ for KBS's Super Junior Kiss the Radio since August 21, 2006. Starting December 2007, Leeteuk became the host of his own show, Leeteuk's Love Fighter, a variety show of Leeteuk helping to solve troubled couples' problems.



Car Accident
Leeteuk became seriously injured in a car accident at the morning of April 19, 2007 when returning home after a recording of Super Junior Kiss the Radio. Along with Leeteuk, fellow members Shindong, Eunhyuk, Kyuhyun, and two managers also became victims. Although Shindong and Eunhyuk suffered minor injuries, Leeteuk and Kyuhyun sustained more serious injuries, which required for the two be kept in the hospital for several more days. Leeteuk had glass shards embedded into his back and above his eyes and had a successful surgery of 170 stitches in removing most of them. Leeteuk was discharged out of the hospital on April 30, 2007. However, Leeteuk may still need further surgeries to remove or minimize the scars. Due to Leeteuk's fast recovery, he was in time to do a last-minute performance in Super Junior's debut film, Attack on the Pin-Up Boys (2007), playing a panda mascot, whch was originally played by Ryeowook.

Cyber Controversy
Three months after the car accident on April 19, Leeteuk appeared as a guest on an episode of School of Rock on July 30, 2007. Leeteuk falsely stated that Korean figure skater, Kim Yu-Na refused his cyworld invitation. After the programme aired, Leeteuk's fans posted over 7,000 comments on Kim's cyworld. Kim's fans counter-attacked Leeteuk's cyworld, posting hateful comments on his cyworld as well. A day later after the incident Kim publicly clarified that she never refused such an invitation. Ultimately, Leeteuk had to post an official apology for the incident and acknowledged that the refusal never occurred. Leeteuk explained that he wanted to make an interesting topic for the television program and did not expect such a negative consequence. A hearing was held to discuss the incident on August 9, 2007. The panel held in August 2007 discussed that it is hard to know whether a guest on a show is telling the truth or not, since Leeteuk did not tell the story during a live broadcast. Since the show did not verify the story before it was aired, the show has to take responsibility for the incident to have occurred. Charges were not pressed against Leeteuk. Regardless of the clashes, both Kim and Leeteuk became closer and they continued to work together to endorse uniforms for IVY Club.

Haha i've heard so many different heights for teukie. Supposedly, the real height is 176 though so i'm just gonna go with that. So with his 3 shoelifts...how tall does that make him?
Yeah i guess they make him wear high cut shoes when he wears a bunch of lifts.
but when they perform he shouldn't wear lifts. that must be uncomfortable. it's like dancing SJ dances in high heels.

Oh yeah i think family should come first. The members are like Teukie's little brothers that he has to take care of. But he's got a family too. I think he's a good son though.
At least oppa doesn't have to watch over the boys 24/7 cause that would be kind of hard. especially with 4 of them not living in the dorm and now most? of SJM are in China. He keeps track of their activities in China though so he's doing a good job of being leader.
I know he doesn't look like he's going to be past the half way mark in his 20s.

LOL, I was just watching some clips of sujuH on Sukira, and apparently, the boys were picking on teukie =P (under the orders of Kangin, of course)
They boys (except for yesung & teukie) were playing volleyball in the back and if they fail to keep the ball up, the last person to touch the ball gets smacks on their hands by the other players.. and Kangin tells the others to purposely let the ball hit teukie ahah and they all hit him on the hands. =)

Yup. his dimples set him apart from everyone else. That's mainly how i'm able to find him amongst everyone. i just look at their mouths and i see his dimples. That and the little ponytail he wears. He's the only one who can pull off a hairstyle quite like that. well..lately he's been wearing his hair all down.
Haha yeah i don't think 3 shoelifts is equivalent to just 3 cms. either he's wayyy shorter than what he says his real height is or he makes himself unusually tall. 3 lifts taller than 176 cm must make him like 180-something...

yes teuk's the 2nd person to reach part3. well heenim doesn't really call him peter pan now it's GAETEUK. looks like heenim loves giving nicknames to leader shii. and bullying him too! i can't remember where the pageant picture is from, don't really recall. i can only post 3 large images and 10 thumbnail pics in the topic start, the same rules apply just like any other post that's why i can't go picture crazy in my ts. oh wells, i doubt teuk will have anything to do with henry in future unless they're not being afraid to put the whole sjm as guests for sukira. cowards why did they take away henry and zhoumi for? it isn't sjm already then. it's just an sj thing. i just want more teuk, wook and henry moments together. oh wells. yea if teuk joined SJT because he wanted to be a crazy freak i would laugh my head off, seriously. all the reasons that come up are really ridiculous right! yes i'm really glad that teuk has the most lines and screen time so i'm not complaining. plus he's on guests on so many weird shows and he has sukira and love fighter. he's probably the busiest one at the moment with so many things on hand. okay so i went back to see the number of soles he had again, and yes indeed he's foot will probably be deformed, it's only a matter of time. i don't wear heals only shoes or slippers so i don't know how it feels yet. but when he put his soles together and piled it up, it was amazingly high. how he walks with it is a miracle to me. and, he can dance and jump around with that absurd height of soles in his shoes? beats me how he does it.

if teuk is really all that depressed and sad, then he still allows the members to bully him=.= did you see they were strangling him for the fun of it at sukira! heenim say teuk is easily bullied. and he speaks informally to him although teuk speaks formally. teuk's a really nice person eh? i was surprised when teuk mentioned he worked as a ice cream waiter or something in SGB. means his results weren't very good right? but i saw his report card and his results seemed quite good, 70,80+ marks. that's a nice one! promoting happiness. Teuk is practically a symbol of happiness most of the time. i'm sure SM will just leave the subgroups to die. and maybe revive them again when sj isn't as popular anymore to spark old interest. i didn't even take a 2nd glance at the guy in the beginning i was waiting for the boys to appear so it didn't really occur to me that the crazy guy was any of the sjh members. yup he got credit to his name in the MV, raised his status as SJ's leader!

yea that hairstyle he had in don't don was definitely weird, after sungmin stole that hairstyle from him, he probably improvised a little and thinned the fringe and didn't shave as much as sungmin did. so it turned out kind of funny. His hair in miracle is one of my favourites, but somehow if he keeps that kind of hairstyle now it just won't suit him anymore! i simply can't imagine him in that kind of hairstyle any longer. he really suits the short black hair now! yea you can say it but put it under the spoiler tag.

i'm glad to start part3 also, i've been waiting to start it ever since i was in part1! i get his pictures from various sites like bestiz and loveleeteuk and the thailand forums are really useful too. teuk does seem to have lots of thai fans. so you love eunteuk cause of SUKIRA? well you should watch more of their shows haha. probably kangteuk will be your favourite couple as well. mine is definitely kangteuk<3 well the first time i saw a certain marry U performance, i wanted to test myself. pretend that i didn't know any member and see who appealed to me the most. it seemed to me teuk had the most stage presence. so if i didn't know sj and saw that performance, i would like teuk immediately. either that or i'm just too crazy over him and no other member can replace him as my fav. interestingly i didn't fall in love with teuk first. initially hankyung left me with the best impression from full house, i didn't even realise teuk was in full house until i read it somewhere. but hankyung wasn't my favourite then, it was too early to have favourites. then i heard sujukry songs so i was totally crazy over wook. i first posted in wook's thread! then i watched adonis camp, mystery6 and more of their various cuts and teuk immediately replaced wook as no.1 and wook's a close 2nd. i don't think teuk's the typical, strong, muscular and hot type, he's more of the cute type. looks like alot of people like teuk in the haengbok MV. me too, along with the marry u MV. my favourite hairstyle of him is during the miracle and dancing out days. my favourite line that he sang is "would you marry me"!

the MV was great and brought lots of attention from the teuk lovers cause teuk had quite a number of lines to sing and he had lots of screen time! plus, he was the featured guy in the MV. i can't find a HQ video of their performance at dream concert though, but there was a dance movement i liked in particular, when teuk sings and then he shuffles his feet forward. teuk said pink was his favourite colour last time, but then it was sungmin's colour so he changed to white! well i think overall, bright colours really suit him, especially when he goes high.
