I like her role here as a girl with hearing disability. She is doing fine in epi.1.....very natural & plays well as Tong Tong.

She has improved a lot since her first series! She has tried different roles in the past.... it's time for her to take up the main lead role! Every artist has to go through this stage, think she deserves to have that chance too!

It's not the first time she's the leading actress in tvb. She was the lead in price of greed and it was horrible. I haven't watched this series so I don't know how she performs here.

I don't really like Kate that much, but I think she's quite good in this series, and I agree with many of you that her hair really suits her; I think she looks sweet

from seeing her play a really career headed lead character..to such a "normal" common person.. it's a real character shift..

she looks really pretty in the drama and i think it's going to be another romantic drama tht would make me fall in love with =D she improves alot from steps!

i agree, i want to c her play a main role as well! i hoenstly didnt think she would, because other actresses like linda seemed to be rising to fame much more quckily than her.

But i like her because she has a natural edge about her + she has more meat! its good to see a decent figure on screen! =)

omg she looks so pretty! a HUGE change from her look in "on the first beat" she looks so much like a lady now =) haha..reminds me of niki's image in tsd though. but its still all good

I think her hairstyle is 'ok'. Nothing much special with it..As of her acting, she does improve compared to before but still can't stand her 'pouting' her lips sometimes when she talks (although it's lesser than her previous series and at least she didn't look into the camera LOL)

- Kate Tsui will play a partially deaf dubbing artist. However, she loses her hearing later on. Thus, she depends on sign language to communicate for the rest of the series. She had to visit a lip-reading center and a center for deaf people for this role. She even experimented with hearing aids.

I think Tong Tong is really adorable but I still think that Kate still has a lot of room of improvement because sometimes her acting is kinda bland. I love the scenes in which she thinks about OK Zai, really sweet!

She improved a lot since I last watch her in Brink of Law, she is horrible in there

I'd prefer watching Kate Tsui over Mandy Cho any day!!! Kate presents herself as natural as she can get, she is proving herself to be able to grow. But then again, not many beauty contest participants really prove themselves to be good actors...Shirley Yeung - still as stupid as she is in every series and unconvincing, Charmaine Sheh - her latest performance in Forensic Heroes II whats with the stupid glare on every scene?? At least Kate is putting on a range in her performances.

Kate's appereance in this serie is really good.! Im really surprised! She did improve her acting skills! I like her character in this serie! Really nice!

Cut some slack on Kate man... I seriously cannot recall any actresses being impressive in their first couple of dramas so give this lady a chance.

Kate was seriously poor in The Brink of Law and a bit annoying in On The First Beat (I did not watch her other dramas) but she has definitely improved in Speech of Silence. The way she speaks Cantonese is definitely more natural than before and what is all this issue about the whole story revolving around her? Come on... she is the lead actress and if the story does not revolve around Kenneth and her, there is something seriously wrong with the drama.

I like her character in this series. She a very kind hearted person. Kate's acting is better now compared to the past.

I really like her character in her and Kate is doing a great job too. She has improved a lot from her previous series and I hope that continues. I already notice it's way more natural and the way she brings her lines is also a plus (she used to annoy me).
I especially like the scene where she told her mother, she knew that it was her mother; she brought it very well and it was an emotional scene .
Kate and Kenneth also have chemistry, but so far I can only see them being friends, not sure if they´ll be this cute couple ^^

I think kate looks really nice. She has improved in her acting also since she has to act out that she is some what deaf. I think these roles are hard to act out.

As much as I like Kate, I don't think she delivered special performance in Speech. But, with a good-girl character and good-looking role for Kate, this drama definitely pump more fans for her, unlike Kate's previous characters in that police academy drama or else. Good luck, Kate! Work harder!

I think Kate works well with good girl characters. I'm not usually a fan of Kate, but I surprisingly found her extremely tolerable in this drama. (I got really annoyed by her in On The First Beat)
I think this drama will definitely boost her popularity a bit

I thought Kate did do a fair job on playing this role with physical difficulties in life. However, there were parts that annoyed me in this drama. How, some times she would talk like the normal Kate...and then there would be times that she would use her "cute" way of talking...just no consistency lor.

Also, this is just a comment about her character and not to Kate. I don't find it possible that a person could read lips as great as this Tong Tong character. Try turning off the audio and avoid watching the Chinese subs and see what Claire Yiu is saying. Not easy, eh??

I think Kate improved a lot. Her acting is a lot better now and she looks really pretty in this series even if she is just wearing simple and plain clohtes. I think I'm starting to like her more and more.

I didnt really like her in this series. She often puts on this 'baby' voice normally and it is actually quite annoying. I dont mind if it is when she is recording but majority of the time it is not. Hope to see her in another series. Maybe a serious one...

She was good in this one. But in some scenes, I think she kinda messed up where she can actually answer someone's question not looking at their lips and she is supposed to be deaf. But other than that, she was good. I like her acting.
