Sharon Chan excited about playing villainess role and drug addict

TVB new series “美麗高解像” had an costume fitting yesterday. The cast included Kate Tsui, Sharon Chan and Christine Ng etc. In this series Kate Tsui will play an character that has an ambition to get into the entertainment circle. After many years of hard work she finally succeeds to become the queen of television.

Sharon Chan will play a villainess role and will be an drug addict with Stephen Huynh. Sharon states that she finds playing a drug addict quite exciting. She feels the role is very challenging. In the series Sharon was originally the Top TV Fa Dan, however her status was taken away by Kate Tsui. Therefore she secretly creates evil plots to ruin Kate’s life. But due to things not going her way she starts to take drugs and eventually becomes a drug addict. Sharon had been watching several movies involving drug addicts to take note of their acting. (Asked whether she would take drugs for real so she knows how it feels, for a better understanding on how to act the role?) Sharon says she will definitely not try any drugs and Television has it’s limits and criteria. But movies are different and people can attempt to do anything “In real life I will not take drugs but playing an character is different. It’s exciting and challenging at the same time. I won’t be affected by it because it’s not real”. Sharon expresses she had always wanted to play an evil role. She claims that the audience are clever enough to know she is just acting.

Kate’s character is very weak and will often be bullied and teased. But she claims that she is very lucky as she had never had that kind of experience when she entered the industry. (Asked whether she would like to become the Television Queen?.) She stats that she would like to but it all depends on hard work and commitment. The new series “Speech of Silence “ which is her first lead role had viewing rating of 30 points

I quite like the cast in this series! and its about women rather than men! cnt wait for this and watchig Sharon portray a villian is rather exciting!

I can't wait for this series either. Wow, Kate as the female lead in this series. I just can't wait to see Sharon portraying an evil role in this series, I have never seen her portray an evil role in any series before (but in "Dream of Colors" with Myolie Wu and Rain Lau, but I don't think you would consider that was an evil role) and especially playing a drug addicet, pretty exciting to watch.

ooo I can't wait to watch this show! I'd like to see Sharon as a villian this time. I'm sure she'll pull it off nicely.

I quite like Kate and Sharon so I might keep an eye out for this series although the plot doesn't seem too interesting for now. Shall wait for some more information.

Kate Tsui competes in an pageant again, bringing back old memories

Kate Tsui was at TVB City yesterday filming new series " 美 麗 高 解 像". The storyline consists of Kate competing in a pageant to step into the entertainment industry. Kate who won Miss Hong Kong a few years felt rather emotional while filming the scenes about competing in a pageant. She says " In the series, I will be contestant #6 but in real life I was also #6 for Miss Hong kong. This is my lucky number. When I was filming these scenes it brought back many memories and emotions. Although of course I didn't feel the pressure I had when I was in Miss Hk."

Kate states that the filming isn't too much hard work so far. But in later scenes she will have to wear ancient costume's which is very uncomfortable in summer weather because its too hot. She revealed that the storyline will go on testing the contestant's courage and she will need to hold an lizard. She jokes that she is already worried about filming that scene and her hands are already shaking.

I think this scenes is about how Kate and Christine film an ancient series cause they are actresses, right? Somehow I get the feeling that Christine will be someone who helps Kate along the way and becomes sort of like her mentor.

Kate Tsui has been promoted by TVB heavily. She has filmed one drama after another,and have been given the "Most Improved Female Artiste" award last year. She has recently started to film for another drama titled "美麗高解像" (English Translation. Beauty High-Resolution). Because she was one of the female leads,she has to work day and night. Not only that she became ill,having insufficient rest affected her condition to film,this resulted Kate to become easily angry for having too many NGs as she is not satisfied with her performance. She cried to the producer in the dressing room,and it was fortunate that the producer is a understanding person. The filming for outdoor scenes was halted and Kate was allowed home to rest. Kate returned to film again after she pacified herself.

Kate Tsui,Christine Ng and Sharon Chan's role in "美麗高解像" (English Translation. Beauty High-Resolution) will be 3 women of different ages living in different stages of life. Kate's role is very similar to her lifestyle in real life. The storyline of Kate's role in the drama is about her entering the entertainment industry after a beauty pageant. Because she is the female lead,her on screen time is more than the other casts. Because she fell ill while filming,she has to request for half a day of leave to rest.

High expectation + insufficient rest = ???

Kate Tsui has high expectations on herself. Because she was too tired and got insufficient rest,she was not satisfied with her performance. Her pressure became heavier and finally cried to the producer. Information revealed that her face was red and swollen in the dressing room. After the producer understands the situation and learnt that she is too tired,he decides to stop the outdoor filming and allowed Kate to return home for a rest of a few hours.

Producer admits Kate is stress

We have called the producer for a phone interview. He admitted that Kate is weighed down by the stress of filming. Manager : "Kate sleeps about 1 to 2 hours everyday"

Kate's Manager,Atom revealed that Kate has got only about an hour to 2 hours of rest everyday. It has been on going for a week. Because she was too tired hence she tend to get angry easily. "Her teary eyes was also the result of getting insufficient rest,not any tearful complains"

Christine Ng and Sharon Chan : We have not washed our hair for days!

The other 2 female leads,Sharon Chan and Christine Ng have also admitted that being the lead of the drama is very toilsome and tiring. Sharon Chan revealed that she has to film in another drama (The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly) while filming (Beauty High-Resolution). She has tried 4 days of not washing her hair or removing make ups. Sharon also reveals that she cherishes her time for rest. Christine Ng said "I have also tried not washing my hair for 3 days. Almost every drama is the same. Kelvin Cheng,Chin Ka Lok were suffering even more as they have to wear uniforms to put out fires in (Burning Flame III)." Asked if she has spoke to Kate to help relieve her stress? Christine Ng said "I didn't know,and didn't ask. I am more worry about her performance. The duty of an artiste is to do their best on their work. The producers were the one responsible to deal with artiste's problems."

=[ i feel kinda bad for Kate, but then again this is her job...she should be able to handle it. She shouldn't do it if she can't. Hope this doesn't mess up the series or anything. =/ Isn't this like any other series she had to film before, i don't get why she's so stressed...well um..hope she get's better...??

Kate Tsui goes for Plastic Surgery

Last night was the Ghost Festival (like Halloween), Kate Tsui arrived in Happy Valley filming outdoor scenes for new series "Beauitful HD" 《美麗高解像》. The scene talked about her being caught on cameras by the Doggie Team, it was not challenging at all. But not sure if its the Ghost Festival atmosphere, Kate noticed that there was "ghost hit back of pillow" (expression) , she accidentally blurted out that her role in the series will end up doing plastic surgery.

When the ghost door opened, she calmly said: "I never thought of this before, I'm not familiar with the Ghost Festival. When speaking of her role in the series, Kate stuttered: "The series talks about a girl entering the beauty contest, then had some paranoia, so she went to get plastic surgery, the surgery left a scar on her face, but later her personality got back in place and continued on her entertainment industry career."

Doggie Team should not bother other people

Kate said that she accepts interview from the Doggie Team, but hopes that both parties will have their limits, don't bother other people, "the most unhappy thing is that some newspapers have sneaky tactics, they went to my house to take pictures. Kate Tsui apologizes to stop the negative rumors

Kate Tsui recently had rumors reporting that she didn't get on with Sharon Chan, Christine Ng and Kingdom Yuen while filming the new series "Beautiful HD". Yesterday the series had a blessing event and Christine Ng didn’t attend due to being unwell. It seemed that Kingdom and Kate had no communication at the event. Kate said "We are all getting along and nobody is having problems. We are all just working. When we first started filming I wasn't able to concentrate very well and had to retake several scenes. I know that I had affected others and I apologize, I felt a little embarrassed." Also Kate admitted in Eileen Cha's radio programme that because she wasn’t feeling too well she appeared late for filming and hoped her colleagues did not mind.

The other main lead Sharon Chan denied that she had been grouping up with Christine and Kingdom and treating Kate badly. Sharon says "We have been getting on very well, perhaps it's due to the storyline talking about me, Kate and Christine fighting each other in the series and because the atmosphere is serious that there have been misunderstandings about us. It's only because we had got into character." As for Sharon slapping Kate's face in the series and Kate needing to apply ice cubes to relieve the pain. Sharon stressed that it was the producer's request in doing a real slap. She had also discussed beforehand and taken off her ring to avoid any injuries. Even though I'm not keen on the female lead, Kate. I am still looking forward to watch this because it sounds quite interesting. For some reason, the weak character sounds a bit like her character, Tong Tong, from Speech of Silence. Lol, Christine wearing Bernice's costume from DD.

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of Kate Tsuei. Don't really understand why TVB is so heavily promoting her. Her acting wasn't that great in MR.

I feel like the roles should be switched. Sharon plays Kate's role and vice versa. Kate would totally fit the baddie role way better.

I agree with you, I"m not a big fan of Kate too. I think they gave her too big of a role when she started and winning the ' most improved' or wahtever it was, was totally rigged. (oh well, it's TVB). Although, I will give this series a try because I like the plot and because of the other characters.

kate has a villain look more than a goody look, she did a great job in MLR but not the four, she has that little fake look when she play a good role!!!

This series would have been A WHOLE LOT BETTER if Kate was not the lead. I just hate seeing her act like the weakling and all innocent! Her acting and the prescence of her in a series just seems to annoy me! I'd rather Christine or Sharon as the lead over her anyday.
