This is from own experiences.....:
* the weeks before ur period don't eat any sweets at all..... this will reduce the pain. (I've noticed that if I don't eat any sweets at all I don't have the pain if it's time for my period, but if I do eat a lot of sweet.... ohhhhh... then it's like I'm dying from the pain. So try this!!!
* Drink a lot of water (I prefer warm water)..... This will clean evrything in ur stomach.

the bath and painkiller thing only works for me if i do it right when i first feel cramps. usually though i try to take a muscle relaxer like ibuprofen instead of tylenol. but my stomach can't really take it.

i don't get cramps very often, but when i do i usually take a hot bath or drink warm water. i used to play the piano whenever i got cramps, which actually worked very well for me. haha, maybe i was being weird...but maybe you should try that too, if you know how to play.

a hot bath?!

a shower or the bubble bath thingy....because if u do the bubble bath thingy
during your period then.....but personally, i used to get a LOT of cramps, but after i started to take a herbal medicine called evening primrose oil i got a lot better, and yah, warm water and exercise definitely helps....but be sure not to drink or eat cold stuff because it may worsen the situation

woa, whats with everyone taking the painkillers? why dont you just eat healthy and exercise and maybe you wont have to go through so much suffering and having to take painkillers all the time (which of course is not very healthy either)
i used to have cramps tooo.. and crazily too.. i've never even taken pillssssssss.. but i started to exercise and eat really healthy and drink water (yeah, minus all those juices and sodas and pops!) and never did i ever get cramps anymore =] its soooo good.. ! because before when i went through the monthly pain i would be like oh god how would i be able to do ever go to work and blah blah when im old ahah but now i can do anything =p so yeah, u girls need to know how to be healthy~ =)

Yup, like tvbfan said, don't take painkillers (unless it's like really really unbearable) If you take too much painkillers, your body will get used to it and the painkillers won't have much effect anymore later...
Drink a lot, preferably water and make sure you don't drink cold drinks or soda during the first 2 or 3 days cos it'll make your periode more heavy
Warm water bags definitely help to reduce the pain
Sit back, relax and watch TVB series (preferably with the warm water bag lol)

Was wondering, who else out there experience terrible period cramps/PMS...too serious..u juz can't do anything at all??
i for one....every month of that particular day experience that,n i cant do anything abt it..except take paracetamol to ease a bit of the suffering...is there any other way to reduce the cramps??

'
get on the birth control pill. this will eliminate all cramps and also put your menstrual cycle in check. not only does it eliminate cramps, reduce the flow, it also makes your skin better because it controls the level of hormones.

i get really bad cramps too, like i wont b able to stand, or walk. i have to sleep sideways, and all shrivelled up in my blanket.
sumtimes i would take advil or tyenol, but my mom tells me to take them only when i really need to. because if i take them everytime i get my period, i would b too dependent on the drugs, and the drugs would b less effective since my body is too used to them.
my mom makes me drink sum hot ginger tea, she says it makes u feel better during ur period. but i think best solution is just sleep, when u r asleep, u won feel ne pain.
I used to get really really painful cramps and backaches, I used hot water bottles and my mum told me to try evening primrose pills and drink warm water...they helped ease the pain alittle.
I then started taking birth control pills and they have reduce the cramps and the backaches and they can alwso make your period lighter. If your period pains are really bad go see your doctor they can perscribe you meds to help ease the pains.

I usually only have cramps the day before and the first day of my period and they're horrible plus I have really bad back aches. Sometimes they hurt so bad that I can't even move and I'm usually scrunched up in a ball in bed. For me a heating pad eases the cramps a little, but I usually use Midol and it works fine for me.

I think everybody will have cramps depending how severe it is..yuo should not depend too much on paracetamol..otherwise you 'll get immune to it.
May i suggest you take evening primrose oil table everyday or the eay way would be taking banana during your menstrual..it'll help reducing your pains..give it a try..hope it works.

If it's unbearable I take Advil. I think it works better than Tylenol.
Drink hot water.
Lay on my back.
Sleep.
I take advil and eat chocolate and then attempt to sleep through the pain. The sleeping really takes away the pain but then if I can't fall asleep it doesn't help at all.

I don't have problem taking hot bath when having period because mine will stop flowing when I was in the tub, maybe because less gravitational force for the blood?!
But when I took shower (of course I have to stand up), the opposite thing happened!
Yeah, maybe it's only me...

I don't like to take pill but if it is too painful then I will take it. But usually I tried to stand for it.
Using hot bath really help.
Before your period come, make sure you exercise by walking and sit up.
I always have menstuation pain on first day and hurt.
As I don't want to take pill, I went searching for how to reduce the pain.
I noticed that exercise before your period come, really help a lot.
Warm and hot drink during the circle period better. Don't drink cold drinks which I don't drink during those period.
Not take "bak foong yun" when you having your circle period. take "bak foong yun" after your period circle cleared. That really help too when we are older.

I don't get cramps... but I did once because of eating too much ice cream. I just took a shower and slept right after that. It did make me feel better. After that, when I have my period I never eat any cold food, especially water melons! NEVER EAT ANY WATER MELONS DURING YOUR PERIOD!!! I'm serious. You can try. But I wouldn't if I were you...

a couple of days before the period starts, i drink warm to hot water/liquid only and when it starts and my stomach has some cramps still than i put a bag of warm water on top of my tummy.
my friend says that if she drinks caffeine than it makes her have bad cramps but that doesn't seem to do anything for me because i drink hot coffee when i have my monthly.
