How good is this guy?

One of the world's most superb actor's, and blessed with a killer smile.

I have NEVER seen him give a poor performance. Even when the material is not so great, somehow he gives it all depth and meaning.

If you agree, let's hear your songs of praise!

Lee Byeong Heon, "Want to express irreversible compassion."
nov. 28, 2006

Actors strive for variance. They want to attempt different characters and that is the desirable path. But even the actors good at changing characters meet the perfect match and the audience feels it before the actor does, and falls in love with the actor.

To Lee Byeong Heon (36), that is a melodramatic role. As one of the few top stars that can gain trust just through acting, there is no genre he cannot digest from 'A Bittersweet Life' under noir to drama in 'JSA: Joint Security Area' just to mention a few.

Even so, there is a moment where it seems the role fits him too well. The drama series 'All In' and 'Beautiful Days,' along with the movie 'Bungee Jumping of their Own' seem to be it.

And once again he acts in a melodrama in the upcoming movie 'That Summer' that will open in theatres on the 30th. Lee Byeong Heon plays the role of Yoon Seok Yeong that is forced to give up the love of his life in the turmoil of the era.

i think tat lee byung hun and choi ji woo are more compatible and seem more matched then him with song hye kyo although theyre very cute together too. hye kyo seems to be too young for byung hun, while choi ji woo seems more mature and matched with him although none of them are together with each other. but he used to be with hye kyo rite? and was he ever linked or together with ji woo?

His movie, The Good, The Bad & The Weird is one of a MUST-SEE Films in 2008. Here's the article...... cool.gif

****************************************************************************

This year, a long lineup of star-studded movies, both homegrown and Hollywood imports, awaits release with Korea's hottest stars and bona fide actors gracing the silver screen throughout 2008.

While a high profile cast hasn't always guaranteed a sellout, it would be hard to walk past movie posters featuring top stars.

(skipped unrelated).......

Director Kim Jee-woon (``A Bittersweet Life,'' 2005) brings a ``Korean-style Western'' movie to the screens starring three of Korea's A-list male celebrities: ``certified'' actor Song Kang-ho, hallyu megastar Lee Byung-hun and heartthrob Jung Woo-sung.

The movie is set in the 1930s, during the Japanese occupation of Korea. Far away in Manchuria, the Good (Jung), the Bad (Lee) and the Weird (Song) become entangled in a train robbery case over a treasure map. This larger than life story becomes even more complicated as Japanese authorities and Korean independence fighters enter the scene.

Meanwhile, Hollywood films starring top Korean talent make 2008 an exciting year for fans: ``Speed Racer'' starring pop star Rain (Jung Ji-hoon) and Joon Park (Park Joon-hyung), a former member of K-pop group G.O.D.; ``Laundry Warrior'' with hot actor Jang Dong-kun (Jang Dong-gun); ``Blood: The Last Vampire'' with Jun Ji-hyun (Gianna Jun); and ``Fetish'' with Song Hye-kyo.

Other big movies to look forward to this summer are the latest installments of Hollywood blockbusters: the 22nd of the James Bond series and the fourth Harrison Ford classic ``Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull'' in May, as well as the Sylvester Stallone-helmed ``Rambo 4'' (release date in Korea to be announced).
