One is the "Supreme Ruler" Yong Zheng and one is the bold and honourable Lui Sei Leung.... what will they be like when they reach twenty-first century Hong Kong?

The story starts in the times of Emperor Yong Zheng (Kwong Wah) when the Han maiden Lui Sei Leung has the sole intention of overthrowing the Qing and reinstating the Ming and is forever plotting to murder the Emperor. One day, her chance arrives, but an unexpected storm causes them to be pulled two hundred years into the future and Hong Kong.

After many coincidences and twists of fate, Zheng stays in Hong Kong as the identity of Lee Dai Ha; whereas skilful fighter Leung is picked up by a martial arts troupe, the two seem to go their separate ways, but by chance, Leung is employed by Shum Siu Hong (Paul Chun) as a bodyguard and Ha finds his way into the company as a junior worker and the two meet again.

Normally powerful and of a high position, Zheng knows all about strategy and power and easily leads Hong's son Shum Yat Lai (Gilbert Lam) to build up his career success. Unfortunately, after getting to know him and realising his unethical ways, he changes his support to Hong's daughter Shum Yat Ngoi (Melissa Ng), causing a stir with Hong and gaining his trust, at the same time Ngoi is captivated by Ha's talent amd Hong decides to bring them together. Lai sees that things are not going to plan and pretends to get close to Leung to find out more information, but she rejects him. Lai plots to bring down Ha, even taking things to the death....

It's a good and funny one. The actual emperor was about 50+ years old before his death. So he is not as young as Kong Wah.

yeah and i just started to watch this series (actually i accidentally saw this one while searching through the channels) and i didnt even watch from the beginning. it is quite a nice series but i dont think it is very famous though because i dont see much info and downloads for this series.

Quite old movie la.... Have watched it quite some time already.. Some parts are quite funny... I think this is quite a nice tv series..Definitely should watch it!

Yah, he have acted the same role before as emperor yung ching in the atv series with the title of the secret battle of the majestic.

I have watched this series 2 times. Once rented and once on the cable TV. This is a good show. Kong Wah is good, i like the way he walked - really looked like an emperor. In this series, he uses a lot of his experience being an emperor to tackle modern business environment. I think there is something to do the Sun Tzu Art of War. I like the way he can analyse situations and plan the solution. Great.

But there are a few funny things, like Sei Leung do not have an identity can survive in the modern world for so long without people noticing. And its kinda fast for Kong Wah to get used to the modern world. KInd of not realistic. But what the heck, its TV - anything can happen.

The serie was great. I recorded it so I watch it a few times already but the ending suck as hell so they totally ruin it. The director/playwright really mess up on that.

i didnt like the ending as well , but i like the story though , i wanted kong wah to be with Melissa Ng than 女四娘 , because he and 女四娘 was from the past , thats why it had to end like that . i hated franky though i liked him before he turned evil!

yah, kwong wah looks good with mellissa or he should with both of them like what he has been dreaming At first, i thought he is bringing mellisa and maggie back to the past but it is just his dream.

kong wah was superb in this series....he really is a grade A actor

I thought this was really funny, especially at the beginning when the King just traveled to the present, and had that weird hair. hahahaaaa.

I also thought He and Melissa matched more, but o well.

One of the best shows from TVB, Kong Wah was really good!!

Ijust start watching this series,Hong Wah and Maggie both are very funny. Especially at the beginning when they traveled from the past to present.They both talked and act they still living in the past .

I like this drama as well, one of the best last year. The most funniest scene I can remember was that Maggie agreed to be Paul Chun's personal bodyguard, she walk into his house on her first day of work with the Street Fighters 'ChunLi' style. Maggie's two hair-buns tied on each side of her head plus her mainland clothing almost made me laughed till I fall down from my chair!!
Another hilarious scene is when Maggie ascort Paul into a lift. As she was afriad of taking lift, she sang a very mainland-feel chinese song to calm her nerves. Paul standing besides her was so shocked to see her behaving so weirdly... it's have been quite awhile to see Maggie to act such funny performance since Old Time Buddies. '
Anyway I think Kong Wah & Melissa are also doing pretty well in this drama.

This series was actually good. I liked it alot...acting was great and everything....

yeah, I have to agreeee... it's a good and funny show. The show also teached a lot on the real life working world and gives good advices too. Won't feel bored watching it again!

this show was so good - after it i kept walking and acting like the king... hahaha what a good movie - seriously the acting was so good that it stuck in my memory

this show is one of the most creative from tvb in recent years. it has a very good plot and very hilarious also. kwong wah can really act like a king, in fact i think he looks like one too...

it is a great series, but THE END just suck. I was looking forward for Kong Wa and Mellisa Ng to be married but nope

I've watched this series last year and it's one of my favourite series, I must say. I love Kong Wa!! He did a great job as this emperor, but sometimes he exegerate a little when he was walking. Actually I wanted him to stay whith Melissa, but later... Maggie is well... good too. This series is really very funny, so funny when Dai Ha (Yong Zheng) and Lui Sei Leung were together and the rest of the cast were also very good. Of courese Paul Chun was great as always.

Everything about this serie was great except the stupid endding. The screenwriter must have used us all his/her brain juice for the plot otherwise why else would they come up with such a bad ending. Kwang Wai was great through the entire serie except the ending. It totally ruin the greatness of the serie. I'm surprise that there are ppl who didn't like the serie at all. Charlie_Cat seem to be one of those ppl.

It all started well until when it gets to the loving part where rachel and maggie fighting for kong wah

It isn't a pathetic series!!! I really like the beginning when Kwong Wa & Maggie come to the present world instead of the King periode. They don't know anything about this new world. Very funny occasions!! Like he's going in bath with a toilet stick. But the ending is boring. Yeah, I commit that. They can do it better.

I like this show, especially Kwong Wa as the emperor. i love the way he sit, he walk and.......the way he runs. hardly sees an emperor runs tho..I think he was the best actor as an emporer.

The way Kong Wah walked made me laughed all the time.
Best part is definetly the bit when the two time travelled to the future, and how they had to learn how to use modern equipment.

My favorite scene would have to be when it was Maggie first day working as a bodyguard for that guy. When she came to his house dressing like really funny. And also the part when the boss was in the car and it started driving, she was going with it outside protecting it. That was so hilarious to me. I started cracking up tremendously.

one thing i didnt like was that the king learned the "new" things so fast, it was like that he was a person from that year, that maggie did was more trustworthy. like aznrok said when she dressed up in old clothes and run outside the car so protect the boss.

I like this series except its ending. Ironically, KW is used to play as Yongzheng in the secret battle of the majesty. Maybe this is the reason why TVB casted him as the leading actor here .

oh watched it recently..was kinda boring at some parts but i liked the toliet thingy haha that was funny, it was kinda odd how they adapted real fast, i didnt lik that the ending was kinda lik BLEH :\

It was quite funny to see Kong Wah in this show. he really can act well. At certain times he can be funny and sometimes he can be DAMN serious! Quite a nice show to watch.

i vaguely remember this series but i remembered that wen i saw the poster at my video store, i didnt wanna watch it...kwong wa dosnt attract me much...but then my mom's friend lent us this and watched it since there was nothing else to watch...i got to admit...it was actually alright...not as bad as i thought...i rem that in the first few eps...it was funni...because kwong wa came 4rm the past into the present and didnt kno wat was a call phone or how to go to the bathroom...lol...

i liked this show only because Gilbert is in it!! and watching him acting evil is sweet!!!!

I really like Melissa Ng and it seems like she has a pretty big part since she's on the poster with the same size as Maggie. But who does Kong Wa end up with? Her or Maggie? I have a feeling it's Maggie.

What do you mean? Kwong wah did play the king role in this series. So, of course, he had to act as the king!
