MBC We Got Married is a show where participating celebrities are coupled as husbands and wives to portray the lives of newly-weds. on 11th May 2008(episode 9), SS501's Kim Hyun Joong and Hwang Bo joined the show as 'older wife-younger husband' couple, thus bringing a new situation and a different air to the show.

I have decided to take over as the topic starter since the original topic starter is no longer a member. So, anybody out there who likes this couple? They're very funny in the show We Got Married. Hyun Joong was so much like a little kid and most of the time Hwang Bo was like she couldn't help it! That's so cute! I have always seen Hwang Bo as a quite strong woman, but she was so girlish when she was with Hyun Joong! Hahaha...

Some of my favourite moments:

When Hwang Bo sat on the garbage bin and the lid of the bin became dented. Hyun Joong then said the dented parts made the bin look like the screaming character.
The both of them went to the swimming place near their apartment. Hyun Joong wanted to poke the umbrella into the sand, but then realised that there was no sand.
When Hwang Bo tickled Hyun Joong to make him wake up and they had this slight fight. Poor Yeong Saeng being disturbed (but he could still sleep).
When they were having breakfast, Hwang Bo turned on the music. The SS501 members danced to it when an upbeat music came. Hyun Joong then pretended to cry when a sad song came.
Hyun Joong made all his members say "I ate very well" to Hwang Bo.
At the swimming pool, Hyun Joong asked Hwang Bo to catch him and said he would run slower to give Hwang Bo an advantage. Instead he ran at full speed. Hwang Bo had to instruct a bunch of kids to help chasing him.
Hyun Joong said if he could kill ten mosquitoes then he felt like he could protect a family.
Hyun Joong commented on how expensive the costs of taking wedding photos were, but later said that they could pay them by 136 months installments.
Hyun Joong prepared 995 paper cranes for Hwang Bo.
Both of them went to the amusement park with funky appearances and their expressionless bet while riding the roller coaster.
Hyun Joong made Hwang Bo do some mission (writing his name with her butt) when she went for a performance.

Lol, they're not my favourite but I think comes 2nd. Lol, because they're so funny. Lol
Hwangbo's laugh and over reacting is funny. Plus, I think Hyun Joong is kinda funny being a bit dumb, lol. I love when they were on their honeymoon and he thought he was protecting his family by killing the flies but she told him to stop. Lol.

haha, they're a really cute couple..they're so awkward at times that it's soooo funny..i dun even know how to explain it..but i see that they do care for each other..i thought it was very sweet that hwang bo went to japan to visit hyun joong! and i like how hyun isn't an emotional guy, but still finds ways to show that he cares ^^

I like this couple, they're greattt! They're one of my favourite couples in we got married along with 'In young & Crown J'

They're soooo funny together n i especially liked the last episode wen Hwangbo goes to Japan n wakes all the SS501 members up. It waz absoultely hilarious and wen she starts doin werid tricks that waz really funny too, but my fav bit waz wen hyunjoong starts pretending tht he's cryin wen he's eatin the food lol.

I also liked the bit wen Hyunjoong gets angry cuz his members didn't thANK HwangBo for the food n then he goes to the room n then all of a sudden all the SS501 members come n say 'Thanks' to Hwangbo. They were all standin in a line it waz soo funny to watch lol

OMO.... these two are just toooo funny and sweet!!! i was kinda hesitant about their coupling on WGM...but they proved me wrong... i really enjoy watching their segments....always making me laugh!!!

So apparently Hwang Bo is 6 years Hyun Joong's senior. I guess Hyun Joong was really surprised to know that he was being paired up with Hwang Bo. At first I thought they were rather incompatible but in the end they created much laughter as well!

Hyun Joong even stopped using formal languages when he conversed with Hwang Bo, which was what he initially did. Hahaha...

I find it funny whenever Hyun Joong talked he made others laugh but his face remained straight. Hwang Bo was crazy at times that she completely gave in and laughed like mad without considering her image.

I am watching WGM now and i totally adore this couple. I look forward to watching this couple because it seems like everything that comes out of their mouth just makes me laugh...Hyun Joong always have something to say back to Hwang Bo and she can never be mad at him for long. I really enjoy watching them. Hwang Bo also seems like an older sister to Hyun Joong as she's always looking out for him and protecting him. Lets just say they share a very close bond.

Hahaha wedding shoots! Both of them were SO anxious and awkward! I couldn't bear to see some of their expressions because they were just so embarrassed to look at each other, especially during the kissing scenes. Hyun Joong was pretty good at trying to resolve the awkwardness between the both of them by making occasional jokes. Maybe I'm too picky, but I never knew simple kissing scenes could be THAT difficult? Hahaha...

Nevertheless, they're still cute! I like the pictures of Hwang Bo kissing Hyun Joong and he had this blissful expression on his face!

they won everything, and guess what?
JOONGBO/SSANGCHU COUPLE deserve it 100%!
THE POWER OF LOVE!

THE BEST PART WAS THEIR HOT HOT HOT TECHTONIK DANCE!
their sexy moves toward each other was the best.
it beated out all the couples, because it was sexy, original, fun, chemistry, and just soooooooooooooooooooo JOONGBO!

now all I need is some subs so that I know what they were talking about.
HB and HJ has definitely gotten used to each other, like real married couples.
they are just tooooooooooooo lovely for words.

HJ was so cute when he was shocked to see hb winning the girls in the wrestling match.
it was surprising to me too since i thought hj was the one who won, didn't know at both won.
ep. 25 was JOONGBO's day.
another best ep. ever!

the excitement from HB when her shillang won was priceless and forever.
she truly loved it and i could feel the chemistry between the two.

p.s.
as for the new couples, i didn't quite like the four that i am not too familiar with.
as you can see i don't even remember their names.
the only new couple i like was Hwanhee and Hwayobi.
i thought they were really cute with each other, and had a lot of fun.
the best part of the first part was HWANBI's duet.
beautiful and timeless, from a couple that has fasticnating vocals.
the other two couples were somewhat fake.
they weren't awkard or anything and felt like they had known each other already.
as for the marco guy, i agree that he shouldn't have called the girl buin right away.
it was like trying to steal JOONGBO's lines!
what's up with that?

second couple i adore alot in WGM,after anbi pairing<3
this couple is so unique in a way that they dont talk much like how other couples do.
both of them are really so shy, which makes it really cute.

hyunoong being the youngest in the whole variety show, seems so lost at times
i rmb the summer special episode when sinae and hwanbo were quarrelling, hyunjoong was so flustered, he didnt know what to do, but to stare at hwangbo and keep repeating what happen.

whatever hyunjoong says, hwangbo would be laughing! i gues its their way of interacting

Hwang Bo is quite an enthusiastic person. Whatever she finds funny, she will laugh like mad without considering her image. You'll notice many times she laughed until she fell off her chair or completely rolling on the floor. Hyun Joong, in contrast, was pretty calm and stony in my opinion. He has his funny moments but he wasn't that physically active as Hwang Bo was. In the recent episode, Hyun Joong won a game against Crown J and Hwang Bo was cheering her lungs off as if like that was the best thing that happened to her. But when Hwang Bo won the game against Shin Ae, Hyun Joong merely just looked surprised or smiled. He didn't even went over to hug or high-five Hwang Bo.

Sometimes I wonder where do their sparks come from. If you really watched the both of them, they sometimes look very uncomfortable with each other, but in other times, they created memorable chemistry. Weird couple I must say.

Yeah, they do have their ways of interacting and being entertaining.

I am wondering how come they are called the Lettuce couple...

^ i just watched the recent episode. after so many times of defeat they had when they face alex&shinae couple. they actually won over them.
infact, they won/scored highest in all of the rounds. that is pretty amazing. and their babies are so adorable, especially the baby boy who looks like a baby girl >.<

their relationship just develops overtime i guess. its natural to become more familiar with each other when you spent more time together. Though sometimes the awkwardness is still there, but i can see both of them are trying to get rid of it as much as possible.

i think they are called the lettuce couple is because hyunjoong have a strong accent when he says leetuce in korea

It's good to see a totally different side from all celebrities in this show, even though they still follow a script....

Though I'd wish Hwangbo wouldn't have to think about his fans all the time...

Oh my! Don't remind me of their babies! I don't know whether to laugh or to cry at that scene. I actually thought their baby boy was especially cute but their baby girl was...

South East Asian genes from the mother.

Speaking of which, they didn't have the task of taking care babies like Crown J+In Yeong and Alex+ShinAe did right? I think Hwang Bo would make a good mother. As for Hyun Joong, he'd probably do really silly things to make the baby laugh. I'd like to see how they handle babies.

aspire: the baby girl is seriously way too tan like hwangbo!

I think it would be kinda disatrous if they were given a baby to take care of, since i doubt hyunjoong will have an idea on how to go about taking care of the kid! I can imagine hyun joong saying some really weird jokes and the baby will just give him a awkward stare.
but if crownj&inyoung can do it, then i dont think they will have any problem.

I watched all eps with eng subs at mysoju. Then went to youtube for ep26 joongbo parts ... u gota click on the little triangle box on the bottom RHS of the video to turn on the subs.

Episode 26 was like made for Hyun Joong and Hwang Bo. They actually spoke a lot more compared to some other times, and I was glad that the awkwardness was beginning to subside. And God! Did Hyun Joong really prepared that 995 paper crane? That was so cute! I actually had the same thought as Hwang Bo, that he would be putting real birds in the guitar case and so when Hwang Bo opened it the birds would fly away. But I think the idea of having so many paper cranes was more romantic. Ah...

SS501 helped HJ fold over 1000 paper cranes. If u rewatch ep27 joongbo parts, then u'll see the paper cranes stored in a jar at home. Also in ep26 blackroom interview, HB wears a pair of crane earrings ... not gift from him but sponsored.

Yes, don't we all agree that the kiss on the cheek was just too adorable? I love how they drank soju first to give each of them some courage and then their said fighting. LOL I started watching WGM for this couple; and the progress that JoongBo made is amazing. LIke how HB said before they couldn't even hold a normal conversation and she'll be lucky if she can get a response from him but I personally thought starting around ep. 15 with the water park event, JoongBo started getting very close. I also loved how HJ imitated HB response in the black room interview on how she will response and she did exactly that. Aww, how much HJ understands HB w/o her even realizing it.

HJ can really see thru HB. During their "X/O" cut in the blackroom, HB was emotional but HJ was happy ... that kinda made me think for the first time that HJ's so confident that HB likes him more than he's falling for her. But i really hope it's vice versa ... that HJ like her more.

Gosh, the Lettuce Couple was so childish! I didn't know whether to laugh or not when the both of them had their little fight. I thought Hyun Joong was childish enough, and Hwang Bo even went along with him! I love how she was like "Don't talk to me for 20 minutes!" Then Hyun Joong just sat on the couch alone. (He was so cute, the way he was sitting on the couch that is)...

Resiliently receiving his punishment! Haha!

And there was the fight on the couch, like who got more space. That was SSSOOO kiddish!

The children I know don't even play the game anymore! Hahaha...

Does anybody notice when Hyun Joong returned from the mini-market (buying plasters for Hwang Bo) and Hwang Bo opened the door for him, both of them were smiling at each other SSSOOO sweetly? Like there was some secret they shared.

They reminisced a lot of their first date. The lettuce, opening the bottle with a spoon, Hwang Bo dressing up specially... I guess they really miss the show deep down inside, even though they (Hyun Joong, precisely) doesn't admit these things openly. But at least he sighed... twice! Hahaha...

I just thought that when Hwang Bo kissed him, Hyun Joong's expression could have been better. I don't know... I prefer the expression he had when Hwang Bo kissed him the first time, during the wedding photoshoot.

Nevertheless, this was the best episode I've ever watched!We're seeing emotions everywhere!!!

Yes i'm a soompi active poster "joykimlee" joined recently for the sake of all the latest joongbo info/gossip/translations/subs/links/csi spazz.

Somehow I always top the number of times rewatching for every new episode relased. Think i'm going crazy as joongboholic addict ... so much that joongbo's infested into my nightly dreams too. Hi 5!

LOL, cool I'm in soompi stalking the JoongBo thread there as well. I don't use this account name its actually "thislove" on soompi. LOL I'm glad I found someone on both forums. HJ is just so cute, knowing exactly what and how HB was going to answer.

LOL, yeah HJ has a way to get to his buin somehow. I would have never guess to get the scale to weight myself than ask HB to do it. Only HJ can pull that off. HEHE I re-watch the confession in the black room when HB was talking about how she prefer a person to express oneself if that is your true self. Then she said that when HJ did that since its not his usual self she started to think "why is he doing this?" U can see HJ smiling while watching it and keep glancing over at HB but she won't look at him. I believe they already has feelings for each other. The onion soup only made it more clear how HB feels about HJ.

Me too, me too! I was AF first, then went back to soompi for joongbo, then saw thread here for joongbo and decided to say HELLO!

Ep 28 made me think of a husband and wife playing games with eachother. Not the olympic competition games (lol) but like cutesy "I-wanna-mess-with-you-to-get-a-rection" type.

Hi!!!I agree, ep. 29 preview show HB wearing a mini skirt so HJ better stick to her. Hehe it seems really fun especially the water scene there seems to be some skinship going on for JoongBo. Over at soompi people posted up some pictures of the recording this week. JoongBo look super cute together. I believe JoongBo are now completely comfortable with each other after what happen last week. LOL

I want HJ to kiss HB too. Hehe The wedding photoshoot didn't quite count because he was made to do it. Even though he said he doesn't usually just kiss someone when he's told and wonder why he did it. About the ring in the side dish, hmm...that's going to send a loud msg is it ever happens. Hehe I doubt mind but I don't think it'll happen. (I do hope I'm wrong)
About HJ confessionto HB, I kind of believe he did it already. In a lot of ways, especially starting at ep. 26 when he sang to her. Or it might just be me so I don't know. One thing I notice about HJ is that when he's nervous he blinks a lot. Could be just me but I notice it a lot lately in ep. 27 and 28.

After rewatching ep28 for the nth time, i think i'm gona change my 3rd wish for joongbo:
1) HJ bobo HB
2) HJ put a ring in side dish for HB
3) HJ compliment HB for her pretty looks

Dun think HJ wld hv the courage to confess straight to HB in the eye without a song or through blackroom interview. So i'm jus gona satisfy myself with his previous saranghes.

About that poll on who do people think would get married first? I think it's rigged or a little strange. I mean, I'm happy that JoongBo is leading in the poll but it doesn't make sense why HH/HY are second? I thought it should have been AlShin or Ant couple. Anyway, I'm voting for JoongBo like crazy too but HH/HY are always so close behind which is really bothering me. How can a couple that u only watch for one episode beat out the older couples?
Have any of you seen some of the clips for JoongBo filming at Everland and Busan? I really can't wait for this week's ep. cuz of the water scene but I really can't wait for the other ones too esp. the Busan night on the beach scene where HJ was holding HB's dog. I believe they like each other because HB has to be really close to HJ to let him carry her dog and share her pet with him. Aww...they are getting me all giggy again. I've been like this ever since I've started WGM and fell in love with JoongBo. It's really not good to be so addicted to one couple but I just can't seem to help it. (if any of you know what I mean)
