Oh! I never thought that they were classmates before. I really love Han Hye Jin but I also like Song Hye Kyo. I think if Song Hye Kyo is not that popular that time then maybe there's a chance for them to be friends. But anyway, I still love the two girls. They are both pretty and talented. They are also good actresses.
I think it is just me but I always find it so weird when i see SHK dressing "elegant." I am so use to her bubblegum look like in Full House that I just can't imagine her being any different. Maybe my mind is just set in that film.

Actress Song Hye-gyo will become the first Korean actress to appear on the cover of the fashion magazine Vogue Korea, to take place in the June edition.
So far, the magazine has published only the photos of world-renowned celebrities and models on its cover.
Song, whose new movie "Hwangjini" will open June 6, is shown in an alluring pose in the cover photo, wearing a traditional Korean wig with one of her shoulders revealed.
During the photo shoot, Song impressed the French production crew every time she appeared in a new traditional Korean costume. The photo shoot's stylist and former fashion editor of Vogue France lauded the traditional Korean costume for its beautiful colors and the modernity of its layered design.
The June issue of Vogue Korea, including an 18-page photo spread of Song, will be published May 20 under the title "Hwangjini in Paris."

She is holding interview after interview. Stories and promotional ads are appearing
virtually on every newspaper and magazine. Even subway tabloids are decorated with
stories and ads on Hwang Jin Yi, due to be premiered on June 6, Seoul, Korea.
SHK recently held a rather frank interview with a local media organization.
She suggests that Hwang Jin Yi might become a big turnaround in her acting career.
She says she had done all she can to make a good movie. She confesses she
had suffered lots of stress during the shooting of Hwang Jin Yi,
as she has been little satisfied with her acting.
The following is a summary of the interview:

Hye-kyo says she badly wanted to play a somewhat different role because
she was fed up with an angel-like role in cinemas or TV mini-series. She developed
such a feeling following the shooting of “The Girl and Me� of 2005.
She went on to say:
“I thought I might seize a chance to work in great films like Hwang Jin Yi when I am around 30.
But the opportunity came earlier than I expected. To be honest with me,
I initially hesitated to work in the movie. But I mustered courage since there was
no guarantee that I would be able to star in such good films like Hwang Jin Yi.�
Hye-kyo confesses she was worried that she might lose the opportunity to play
the title role of Hwang Jin Yi (since several other actresses were rumored to be
candidates of Hwang Jin Yi).
Unlike Director Chang Yun-hyun, SHK says she heard that Lee Chun-yeon,
CEO of the Hwang Jin Yi production company, was opposed to her appearance in the movie.
“After talking with me, however, he knew that I was dead serious. In the end,
he picked me, saying: ‘Yes. You, Hye-kyo, are the very Hwang Jin Yi
(who I have been searching for.’â€?). After that, she says she has made up her mind to
do all she can to make Hwang Jin Yi a great movie.
Hye-kyo says Director Chang urged her to commit all her energies to acting.
“He asked for me to express myself unlimitedly. I was very much moved.
There is a saying that life is something like an adventure. I also wanted to do
something great. It may be a lie to tell that I did not expect the movie to achieve
a success.�
Hye-kyo says some scenes were shot repeatedly. She reveals that
a scene was shot as many as19 times, although Director Chang was satisfied
with the first round of shooting. “Director Chang enabled me to ‘play’ as much as possible
before the camera. The shooting schedule was adjusted whenever I was exhausted.
He took much care of me, but I think he also took his interest into consideration.�
(She laughs).
“Someone may say that I still have a long way to go as far as acting is concerned.
I never had a sound sleep during the six months of shooting.
I really wanted to show the real part of me to the audience. I do hope that the audience
will learn that I’ve done my best to make a good movie.â€? (In a separate interview,
she says she has suffered a lot of stress as she has been little satisfied with her acting.
She says she is not satified with her acting easily. Hye-kyo says she've lost 5 kg during the

February this year. A North Korean "guide� told her to “jump and jump� to shake off
the feeling of cold. North Koreans around Hye-kyo were surprised to know that
she plays diverse roles in the dramas or movies. SHK was surprised too
as she watched South Korean TV programs when she stayed at a hotel at
the foot of Kumgang (Diamond) Mountain, a scenie mountain in North Korea.
It is considered the most beautiful mountain on the Korean Peninsula.

'Hwangjini' Song Hye Gyo, decorates cover of Vogue Korea
Song Hye Gyo will be on the cover of the June edition of 'Vogue Korea,' being the first Korean actress to be featured on the magazine's cover.
Wearing a Hanbok (Korean traditional outfit) designed by the 'Hwangjiny' costume designer Jung Gu Ho, Song Hye Gyo completed a photo shoot in Paris, France with Paulo Roversi, a fashion photographer from Italy.
According to Vogue Korea, the staff who took part in this photo shoot is all internationally top class. One of the three major fashion photographers Paulo Roversi was joined by hair stylist Julian Dy's and make-up artist Stephan Marais.
Lee Myung Hee, chief editor of Vogue Korea, commented, "We have used Korean models active abroad on the cover, but this is the first for a Korea actress. Wearing a Hanbok for the photo shoot has great meaning."
Song Hye Gyo's photos will be published across 18 pages in 'Vogue Korea' which will be released on the 20th. Behind the scene footage will be broadcasted through Olive Channel.

A Vogue Korea staffer who helped prepare the shoot for over six months said, "The work was done by a dream team that has great influence on fashion in the world, and not even Vogue France would have been able to gather them. It has great significance that the dream team gathered for the Korean actress Song Hye-kyo, and the photos show her in hanbok."
During a concept meeting, Song was asked about “Hwangjini” and told Roversi and other staff about the famous gisaeng or female entertainer the movie focuses on. They had understood the gisaeng to be similar to Japanese geisha. After the shoot, Roversi said Hwangjini must have been “a woman like Camille Claudel or Virginia Woolf.” Responding to praise in the French press, Song said, "It may be because a Korean actress wore Korean traditional outfits instead of a dress. That's why I felt more responsible and was nervous during the whole shoot."
The pictures can be seen on 18 pages of Vogue Korea published on Sunday. A video diary of the shoot will be broadcast on the Olive Channel. Meanwhile, “Hwangjini” goes on release on June 6.

Does anyone know why Song Hye Kyo's most recent korean series.... Sunshine, isn't released on to DVD yet? This series was produced in 2004 and still hasn't been available on yesasia.. Well.. not on yesasia yet.

Furthermore, she was also reported to be dieting for the role of Gisaeng (most famous singer and dancer in Joseon Dynasty). During an interview she did with KBS (Korea Broadcasting Service) about her role in the movie she said: "I'm trying my best to present everybody the most real and lively Gisaeng".
According to a recent survey on Korea's most popular website Naver.com, Song Hye Kyo enjoys the largest number of fans in Korea and other Asian countries. Apparently Song's popularity is not solely based on her appearance, but also her hard work and perseverance. Who said showbiz is all about looks!

Don't really know much bout Song Hye Kyo but i was stunned when i first saw some of her pictures, my shes stunning as hell! Shes far more pretty than any korean/japanese that i've seen . I could just stare at her pictures for the whole day xD

Let’s start our height calculation by taking Yu Ji Tae and Jung Woo Sung’s height of 186 cm as our starting point. Song and Kim look at least a head or two shorter than their male co-stars and celebs are known to have small faces, so we’ll subtract roughly around 20 cm. So Song and Kim is about 166 cm tall with their heels on.
Then if you subtract the height of their heels which usually ranges anywhere from 7cm to 10cm, Song Hye Kyo and Kim Tae Hee are around 156-159cm tall - not over 160cm! Keep in mind that our calculations were based on very conservative estimations. If you take a look at other height calculation works, they turn out to be a lot shorter.
Based on this work by one savvy Korean netizen, Kim Tae Hee is around 155cm even with her 7 cm heels on!
Based on this picture, Song Hye Kyo and comedian Song Eun-i are the same height and Song Eun-i is 155cm tall.
We know that it’s very common add a couple of centimeters to celeb’s height and subtract a couple of kilograms from their weight, but don’t over-do it to the point that the discrepancy is so obvious.
