at first she was alright..
but now, her and her 'sexy appeal' makes me thinks shes cheap..
trying to sell her body image..like..i know some female artists are fit and such and dress in revealing clothes, but joey doesnt match that..

Joey is a great singer..!..I think she dress like this, because all these people say she's fat and that stuff..And so she wanna show everyone that she's not..or something like that..*I dunno*..well..I think Joey looks okeej..Sometimes she's pretty, but sometimes she looks a little bit ugly.. well, just my opinion..

Her singing is OK but her acting is just horrible. I don't blame her since shes not an actress but still i don't like her because she's so fake

Coming from a musician/singer of over 10 years of experience, I'd have to say that Joey is the only female singer out there who can actually sing. She has the gift that very few of us performers have... which is the ability to pull off a 20-plus songs concert without lip-synching anyone of them. Plus, she has a very powerful higher octave range, which many less gifted singers will have to resort to falsetto or computer assistance to reach. The only thing she has to improve is her breathing noise, which is really loud.

As for her style, the reason why she has changed from little innocent girly girl to sexy mature looks is simply because she's growing up. I mean, how ugly can it be to see a 23 year old dress like a teeny-bopper? She's no longer the young and sweet teenage girl, and we have to accept the fact that even though she became sexier, she's still our beloved media-friendly Joey Yung.

That's why we cannot hate Joey for being "sluttier" or a "whore". She isn't dirtying her image. All she did was that she matured, so accept it or leave it.

i think she sings good, better than others. however i think she is really cheap especially the way she speaks. her mouth and the way she laughs bugs me.

I have no problem with Joey. Her singing and her songs are really good. HAven't seen any picture of her dressing slutty so I unno. Can anyone post one?

what has kept joey in the entertainment showbiz for so long is defintely not her look. I guess both her promoter and joey herself should realise this OBVIOUS fact. She's a very good singer and has churn out some lovely tunes in the past n present. Frankly i do her enjoy her songs...

This is her attribute and for some vague reason, she has thought that her popularity is somewhat due to her sexy look??? ' C'mon joey, buy a mirror! Instead of trying to be some else, let's spare our eyes some liberty.

Yeah I find her to be a really good singer. I'm not a fan of her new image either though. She was kind of cute, and decent looking, but far from being sexy.

joeys singing is prolly one of the most decent right now in HK, but her new "sexy" image just ruins everything.

I use to like Joey. I only like her singing now. Ever since her weight-loss thing...she's been dressing up all slutty and showing as much skin as possible. As if her new transformation is an oppurtunity to flaunt herself out to the public. I think that's so trashy. But I still like her singing though..strange isn't it? I am so weird!

I don't listen to chinese music much, but i heard some of her songs and thought it was alright. The only thing that I can't stand about her, is her roles in movies and in series. She always acts like whinny punk, not knowing what she does. Her popularity has been lasting for a while, so i don't think she will be going anywhere soon. The only thing i want to see from her in the future is to try some different roles in movies and in series.

i dont understand why so much ppl are disliking or even hating a singer for being sexy or "slutty". I mean, isnt the main thing a singer is supossed to do is sing? i mean, so wut if joey is dressing in revealing clothes, is not like she is REALLY showing anything, and like, as long as joey can SING! i mean like, i think joey is one of the very best of HK right now and like its not fair to call a girl with such talent and effort a "slut" and like, some ppl say her personality is fake, well no celeb is 100% honest, i mean, i think joey is not exactly fake. yes, she is not really good at talking, but if u see the news, joey always accidently says the wrong things, things that others misunderstand (like her speech at the 903 award ceremony thing) and a singer that is fake always plans wut they are gonna say before an interview and never says somehting wrong. and u cant blame her for being a bad actress, i mean, she is after all a singer! and like, ppl hoo thinks she cant dance, well lots of ppl are way worst! and for someone who did not learn how to dance untill she came into the ent cir (i know that because her dance instructer said so in a interview!), she is improving alot!

i just think Joey should stick to singing and advertisements. She doesn't need to sell a sexy image when she has the singing skills many so called singers wouldn't have. Seems like many hk female singers are using the sex appeal to sell more records eg: Jade Kwan. All of sudden they're releasing photo albums of them in skimpy clothes? Or maybe they're not skimply clothes, but really ruin the image of a respected singer.

i think she's a great singer, has a strong voice..... i love her songs.... prob he'll need time to improve on her acting skills, after all she ain't trained.....

I like Joey. =] She's one of my favourite female singers...even if she's not the prettiest girl out there, her songs are great, and i like her voice.

no, its just a rumor, but it doesnt make sense, because joey is on the news atleast once every week ever since she came out, i mean, the whole procedure takes a while, i dont think she can do plastic surgery in jus a few days. and, bad at singing??? she is like one of the best out there...if she cant, who can? and look...other singers have photo albums 10X more "slutty" i mean, look at stephanie chengs! and if u guys thihnk her songs are bad, then u havent listened to alot of her songs...everyone that buys albums knows that joey always have good album, thats why every since the day she came out, she has been one of the very best sellign female singers!

She's a great singer but I must admit, she's not the prettiest one out there... and she's not the worst! Average i'd say.

Joey is one of my fav. singers....I think she can sing really good compared to those young singers nowadays. Her albums are quite nice too. I agree that she isn't pretty but that doesn't matter as long as she can sing.

I don't like her at all. I don't kno why she is popular. She is not pretty, can't sing, and a bad actress. Just don't like her.

So Joey can sing, and that's definitely the main thing any singer should be able to do. I'm not quite sure, though, that I agree with the way she is selling herself--not her voice--and her recent image. Look at the Show-Up cover, it was a bit excessive, wasn't it? It's great she can sing, but if 8-10 year old little girls are going to be buying her stuff, she should target her audience appropriately.

I really like most of Joey's songs and I think her voice is really good. But her new image lately is bad. She's trying to become more sexier in order to gain more popularity. In my opinion Joey doesn't need to drop to this level because she can just be as popular from her singing. Just her singing will sell her music. I know she's ugly and her figure isn't that perfect but people would actually pay to listen to her music cos she's that good. But I definitely think she's had some sort of plastic surgery.

I don't think Joey is fat at all, but then again I don't like girls being bone skinny (like 75% of all HK actresses/singers). I like Joey's fast songs, where vocal ability isn't as neccessary, but her slow songs are shallow.

Joey is a singer first then got into acting so it's not a surprise she's not very good at that. She sings good and nothing is wrong with her image. she dress pretty normal besides those revealing few pix from her photo album. How does she act like she's all that??

she's such a b1tchy brat in the series..and too also add that her character was annoying, and she didnt even look good half the time. makes it worse when she's one of the main leads in the series..

well, ya, lovejoey is right, dats her character in the series. and actually, compared to alot of artist, she is known to be one of the nicest to the media and her fans, unlike miriam and Charlene (i like them, its just their personality) who is easily angered and short tempered....

and why she is popular, because she can sing! haha...she's like the onli female artist now that can these days, so everyone wants to listen to her.
