Yeah he's a good actor. In DOMD he was able to play both the cheerful/laid back role and sad/sorrowful roles well. His singing is okay.

Dicky Cheung rulz!, as both actor and singer he is one of my favourites as he is talented in both, even though i haven't seen any of his Chinese series as on VCD i can't find any with English subtitles.

I've only seen Dicky in 3 films, Last Hero in China and Future Cops, both of which are in my top 10 fave movies ever, Dicky cracked me up in both of them! The other film was The Black Panther Warriors which i would like to say i liked him in but the movie was so irritatingly annoying, not making any sense and so called comedy that was not funny which is a shame as it had a totally fantastic cast wasted!

As a singer i've heard a lot of Dicky's songs 'Aiya Aiya Chun Chun Nay' (soundtrack to Wong Fei Hung Returns), 'Healthy Body', 'Gu Du Bu Ku' and 'Xu Xu Shi Shi' (soundtrack to Taiji Prodigy), 'Sin Cau' and the soundtrack to Mr Winner which are just a few of my favourites.

'Aiya' was the first Cantopop Album along with a Grasshoppers one i ever bought.

ORIENTAL DAILY NEWS - Dicky Cheung and Nicholas Tse were in China filming a fight scene for a TV series. The actor Wong Pak Chiu, who fought opposite of Dicky, is now accusing the star of hitting him for real, giving him a bloody lip and loosened teeth. Yesterday Dicky called the accuser of making things bigger than they actually are and slammed Wong for having lack of a work ethic. Wong admitted that he and Dicky have had a run-in in the past. They have always been competing for movie roles. However on the phone, Dicky tells us a different story. "In one phrase: I will not talk about actors with no work ethic. Him and I don't play opposite each other that much. We have never been in a feud, so why would there be taking personal revenge with work." He then added, "Two nights ago when we filmed, [Wong] was already complaining. He first suggested that we used a body double, but the director disagreed. Nic and I rehearsed the scene for him to watch...Before we filmed he seemed uneasy...the result was that Wong Pak Chiu filmed against his wishes." Wong yelled cut before the director did. Afterwards, Chinese police arrived at the scene. "I heard that he was dissatisfied. He called the police in the middle of the night, making the producers bring the script to explain the scene to them." How does Dicky explain Wong's bloody lip? "Maybe he doesn't know how to control his power. If you fight hard you will get hurt! Getting hit in movies is very common. Nic and I filmed a scene where we got slapped dozens of times." The director of the TV series, who's currently in Beijing, says, "This actor is kind of crazy. Dicky hit him because the script called for it. Before we filmed, we rehearsed it a few times. He probably feels dissatisfied after getting hit by someone and went to call the police. He requested for a medical exam and producers even took him. It's actually a really small matter!"

Dicky Cheung & Nicolas Visited Wang Bozhao, Thursday September 30, 2004 Hong Kong

Dicky Cheung Wai Kin and Nicholas Tse Ting Fung two nights ago issued a joint apology and visited Wang Bozhao at the hospital in hopes of settling the "on the set battery" incident; yesterday Wang Bozhao said that although he was not too satisfied with the wording of the statement he was willing to accept Cheung and Tse in person apology. However, Wang Bozhao described the apology as "late" because he already has hired legal representation to sue and the legal process cannot be stopped. He said, "The statement's terms like 'any accidental injury' and 'absolutely unintentional, accidental injury' are all uncertain terms that make me feel they are insincere."

Wang Bozhao expressed that the duo visited him twice two nights ago. The first time they departed due to the press presence and the second they visited and talked for half an hour. "As soon as Cheung Wai Kin saw me he said 'Instructor Wong, sorry.' as did Tse Ting Fung. I accepted their in person apology. I can feel how badly Ting Fung feels about this and he has tears in his eyes. I said to Ting Fung, he was truly too clueless, being swept into this incident. After Ting Fung said my thigh injury he could not speak for half a day, which affected me."
Wang Bozhao was asked whether he has forgiven them but did not directly respond. "All along I only want to tell it like it is. I can live with myself, using my character to prove that that day I was deliberately injured and not accidentally hurt. I am not trying to make anything up. As for whether I will pursue this matter, I can say, their apologies have come too late. On the 25th I have already taken the matter to the lawyer. The legal process has begun and cannot be stopped. This isn't something personal, but I have already expressed my wishes to the lawyer. This case will be a civil case. As for wehther criminal charges will take place I am not sure. This incident has had huge influence on their careers. People in show business have expressed that the situation has reached a level that must be dealt with, but I feel young people should be given a chance when they make a mistake. Now I only want to settle the matter."

Wang Bozhao during the interview praised Ting Fung's sincerity. Is he still mad at Cheung Wai Kin? Wang Bozhao said, "No, only that during the shoot Cheung Wai Kin's attitude has left me with a very bad impression. When he came to apologize to me at the hospital he looks completely different from when he hit me. I hope he will always look like when he visits me at the hospital."

Dicky Cheung, Yoyo Mung, Rain Li, Emme Wong, Natalie Ng, Jerry Lamb, Anson Leung, Wong Yat Fei and Siu Ding Yat were at the press conference for "Kung Fu Soccer" that will be aired on TVB after "The Conqueror's Story" as of next Monday.

At the event, Dicky was bombarded with flirting from the ladies as Yoyo using her eyes, Emme showing off her beautiful legs and Natalie giving a birdsong rendition, but when it came to Rain, Dicky turned to her and said: "I don't need it from 'big sister in law'. I treat her like a mother, so I respect her a lot." When Rain heard this, she said: "Hey, don't mess around!" and in the end she passed the test without having to do anything.

When she was joked with on the stage, Rain seemed rather shocked, but responding to remarks that she seemed rather angry, she explained: "I was rather embarrassed actually, because I don't want this title and I still have plenty of opportunities." When she was asked to pose for a photo with rumoured boyfriend Siu Ding Yat, she tried to delay it and would not stand next to him, at which point Siu turned to the press and said: "Don't force her! Give us a way out!!" When the press asked Rain to be more gracious about it, only then did she stand next to Siu and said accusingly: "What's wrong? You did not come over to me?" Siu explained tht he wanted to have the photo taken on the stage in front of the promotional boards, so they went onto the stage for the picture.

Rain also announced yesterday that she has changed her Chinese name back to the original character for her "Wah". She says: "On my ID card, it uses this 'Wah', but my first management company changed it to 'Wah' (with a 'wood radical). My new manager Mrs Lam has checked it with a fortune reader and they have told me to change it back because the other 'Wah' represents a type of tree that grows and dies quickly, but the other 'Wah' means the region of China that suggests I will make good progress there."

Also, when Rain was filming in Hengdian earlier for "Lady Wang in Exile", she was given a necklace by a director and hopes that this will bring her good luck. When asked why she was given this, she smiles that maybe because she was playing Lady Wang. Asked if her boyfriend knows about this, she immediately said that she does not have a boyfriend. Then when she was asked if Siu knows about this, she says that the whole company and her assistant knowns. Asked if she was afraid that Siu would be jealous, she says it is nothing to do with him. She adds: "This director is well versed in the I-Ching and philosophy, so he read my fortune and says that I will have great luck in the future." Since wearing the necklace, she has won a few hundred dollars on the Mark Six lottery.

After letting slip about Rain and Siu's relationship and embarrassing the couple, Dicky went on to announce loudly: "Haven't they been together for a while? Only joking, what is there to be shy about, men and women dating is a very common thing and they go well together. I hope they start a family soon!"

As for his own relationship with his girlfriend, Dicky says it is stable and laughs that he is waiting for his fox spirit to apepar. Later he adds: "I will look after myself. (When will you be starting a family then?) Don't talk about this!"

As for his production "Kung Fu Soccer" being aired on TVB, what hopes does Dicky have for the show? He says that he hopes to bring up TVB's ratings again and do better than "War and Beauty" because the series has taken over $10 million to make. However, he says that he will not pin too much on the ratings otherwise he may become crazy with the pressure after so long. As for this show being aired at the same time as Stephen Chow's "Kung Fu", he denies that this is an intentional arrangement and actually he had hoped for the show to be aired simultaneously with Japan and Taiwan next year, but as the show has been sold to TVB now, he cannot control this.

Yesterday morning a group of cast members from "Kung Fu Soccer" including Dicky Cheung, Jerry Lamb, Anson Leung, Joey Yung, Mandy Chiang, Deep Ng and Natalie Ng took part in a promotional event at TVB City to mark the airing of the show this evening. The event was supposed to start at 11:20, but Dicky arrived late and the event started 45 minutes later than planned. Later, Dicky explained: "Sorry, I thought the event was at 12 noon, so I thought I was only a little bit late."

During the event, the artistes played a match against some under-10 's and despite working very hard, the artiste team lost 3-0. Talking of his hopes for "Kung Fu Soccer", Dicky says: "I am confident in the ratings because the show is also currently being aired in Guangdong and the results there are good. The other high rated shows there are also my productions!" When Dicky was asked whether he would still be releasing any albums, he says: "Definitely, I am still very enthusiastic about singing and I like to play my own songs when I am driving. (Isn't that a little egotistic?) A little, yes!"

Dicky reveals that after the promotional events for "Kung Fu Soccer", he will be resting for a little while, taking his girlfriend and mother to the Maldives for a well earned break as well as moving out to the city from the New Territories. When asked whether the move is an indication of his intention to get married, he says cheekily: "I am only moving with my mum!" He adds: "I have lived in the New Territories for many years, but when I am filming I am always in the country, so I don't want to be a wild man all my life and I decided to move back to the city. Originally I was living on my own, but I am moving back with my mother and being a good son." Dicky has been rather unlucky though because he bought a set of sofas for the new house but they would not fit in the elevator. He says: "I live on the 68th floor, so if I paid someone $100 per floor to move it up the stairs, then this would come to nearly $7000 and the sofa only cost $9000. In the end, I gave it to my brother and bought a smaller one for myself."

TVB's recent serials have been in a slump, and no one can continue the success of "Catch" and "War" just yet. The anniversary serial "The Last Breakthrough" did not draw in big numbers of audience as expected. In its worst week, the ratings averaged 26 points. The number bounced back 2 points as it went into the final week. The finale was aired on Sunday (Dec. 26th), and the final number is out. The average of the whole serial was a disappointing 27 points.

"Kung Fu Soccer", which is not a TVB production, has a star-studded cast, and was bought to air on TVB. Unfortunately, it is not doing very well either. It's been on air for two weeks, and the ratings only reached 28 and 27 points respectively.

I really like Dicky and his shows and movies. He is soooo funny in everything he makes. He always have a special line that he says in each of his series. He makes me laugh all the time because he is a great actor.

Dicky is by far the most talented actor I've ever seen. He never fails to make me laugh and cry. All of my favorite movies have him in it, and I think the best one would be Journey to the West, best series ever.
