What I remember from these 2 tv series are very slim but I hope someone can help me out.

1. A vampire series actors include Chin Siu Ho , Chin Siu Ho , Lam Ching Ying ( Guy who ALWAYS plays the vampire killer in vampire movies) and an actress who looks like Sandra ng, not sure what her name is. I remember a scene where Lam Ching Ying was forced to eat poison worms.

2. The 2nd series surrounds around a guy who I think was created from an experiment. He always wore black from what I remember, has to drink a potion to stay alive or to stay focus. Started out evil but eventually became good.

hi. i'm pretty sure it was a tvb series. i think the first series that was described has sammi cheng in it. i think she played a ghost in that series. for some reason, i recall her with long hair and wearing white (hence the ghost association?). the series takes place in the 1920's era, just shortly after the ching dynasty ended and the guys cut off their braids. i think chin siu ho plays a cop, they wear those green outfits with the pointy straw-like hat that chinese farmers wear. all this is from sketchy memory of course.

the second series sounds familiar. but need more details/info to trigger my memory.

i think the first one is called 'The Vampire Returns'.

absolutely no idea on the second one.

Hmmm thx I looked up The Vampire Returns on google and it came up with 3 sites or so and they were all Sammi Bio's with no actual screen shot of the series.

mmmm... I just remembered something bout the second series, there was a fighting scene inside an elevator.. the inside was silver I think... the lead actor could be Leon Lai. Not completely sure tho.

oh...if the main character was leon lai, then i think ur talking about 'The Legendary Ranger'. The guy in black was Chin Ka Lok if my memory serves me right.

hmmmm I think the first series is right because I do remember Chin Siu Ho playing a cop and his attire was green, come to think of it have you seen Detective Investigation Files ? The Madam's husband from Detective Investigation Files plays Chin Siu Ho's superior.

Bout the 2nd one.. I read a little review on yesasia and the plot makes a little sense.. its a bout a brain surgeon trying to figure out what happened to one of his patients... from what I remember there was a brain wash to one of the characters and I can picture Chin Ka Lok as the assassin, tho I havn't seen any good screen shot of either series so I can't confirm if its the right series or not. Know any sites cow ?

nah, i think, if i remember right the first series is a atv series. i know the chinese name but if i translate it it would be called vampire hunters. there were vampire hunters 1 and the sequal 2. the first one the women ur talking about is probably yuen king dan, the women as sa sa in virtues of harmony, or you might have watch the second one where the women is kiki shueng.

i have seen the 2nd part, couple times and i don't remember any scenes where he has to eat worms, so if it is this series then most likely it be the 1st part your talking about.

@musicman : if this is her on the right, then I don't think its her, but the woman in that series really looks like Sandra Ng. I'll see If I can remember any movies that I've seen her in.

@Cowtown: Yeah I went to that site already, thats pretty much the only one I could find with pictures. I don't recall seeing that scene but that outfit looks awfully familiar.

@jukat: I just remembered something else bout the series. The vampires were having a party, Lam Ching Ying infiltrated the party as a waiter in attempt to kill the head vampire ( not sure what his name is but in the series he had long black hair pass his shoulders.. ) well anyways Lam Ching Ying gets captured and is kept in the dungeon where he sees a bunch of gas chambers with ppl inside... the vampires were testing a chemical weapon of some sort.. Oh yeah bout the worms I was talking about.. they attack Lam Ching Ying's stomach when the vampires blow a flute...

yes winspector there is no doubt about it, it is the atv series i'm talkin about, also when you mention the gas chamber i remember that part too from the series. The one you saw was i think the second 1. i'm not sure which women ur talkin about but it might be kiki shueng. check her pictures out in the gallery forums if they have any. i really enjoyed that series too. it's either call vampire master or vampire hunters, translated from chinese. Also the guy with long hair i know who u are talking about, he's been in many movies too from the past but i don't remember his name.

mmm nope its not kiki shueng either, she was saved by Chin Siu Ho from something and ended up in the hospital. But hey I think we definately have the right series here. Thanks for your help, have some AFZ hmmm does anyone have the series on vcd? I don't have a atv outlet here.

Ok, i'm getting confused. If ur talking about the Vampire Expert by ATV, then it is with Lam Ching Ying, Kingdom Yuen, Wong Shu-Kai and Annie Man...but if ur refering to the one with Chin Siu Ho and Sammi Cheng, then it is the Vampire Returns by TVB.

winspector, where are you? i know the vcd set of (vampire expert) the 2nd part is being sold in singapore.

You mean the guy in Twin of Brothers who was Leila's father?

He's a tvb actor and appear in a lot of series. twin of brothers, vigilante in the mask, family man, lady fan, and a whole lot more.

He usually plays the bad character role.

He's also Cutie Mui Siu Wai's bf, not sure if they're still together though.

He's actually a pretty good actor. He was really good in Family Man and Treasure Raiders. Years ago, he was getting really popular and either TVB or ATV wanted to back him as an upcoming big star but then there were stories that he was being "kept" by rich ladies, so they "froze" him out of place. Too bad though cause I like him as an actor.

I feel pretty sorry for this guy, many years ago, in ATV's version of Lofty Waters Verdant Bow, he was the lead, Gum Sai Wai, now, last year, TVB's version of LWVB, he's some dude in a beggar clan. His performance was enjoyable in Treasure Raiders, I agree, too bad it didn't air on Jade Channel.
