Jaebom to be kicked off variety



2PM's leader Jaebeom has been receiving much attention having been one of the main cast in MBC's "Sunday, Sunday Night." In "Sunday, Sunday Night", he has been filming for a new corner called, No-Da-Gee.

No-Da-Gee is a variety show based on Korea's history where the show's cast is basically suppose to go around Korea's historical landmarks and complete missions, in order to complete Korea's treasure map.

Because he was born and raised in America, Jaebeom is not fully aware of Korea's culture and history. Even so, viewers had criticizing him when he was not able to sing Korea's national anthem in one of the episodes.

From the controversies of Jaebeom's past mistakes surfacing, on top of him not knowing Korea's national anthem by heart, there are discussions being made on whether Jae-Beom will be able to stay on the show or not. As a settlement was not made on September 5th, the day his myspacecontroversy arose, it has been announced that one would be made by the 7th.

Seems like 2PM's Jaebeom dilemma isn't going to die anytime soon, even with the apology he has given.

Therefore, in means of encouraging his fellow 2PM member, WooYoung had posted, "2PM, we're not 7 members. We are One." On his Cyworld on September 6th, he even posted a picture of the 7 members that was taken during a photoshoot, and set his homepage song to NRG's "Friend."


But being the harsh netizens that they are, WooYoung's homepage was bombarded with comments stating that he was only covering up for his own 2PM member. In reply, WooYoung deleted the encouragement he posted, which again stirred up more controversies. As of now, WooYoung's mini-homepage does not have any new posts.

JYPE said, "Nothing has been planned in relation to Jaebeom's schedule for now."

Please be respectful and considerate of what Jae was going through that time. Please don't blame him for anything. He's human like us and we all make mistakes. He had a tough time in Korea and it was really emotionally hard for him.

about Jae being kicked off of the variety show.....why? Just because he couldn't sing the Korean national anthem? That seems pretty shallow of the netizens.... From what I've read from the variety show, this would be a great experience for Jae to learn more about Korean culture.

Alright so I'm making this because I support Park JaeBeom and I want other people who support him to post here too.

If you don't support him and you think he should leave 2pm and even Korea then don't post here and ignore it.. I'm not looking to start any fights I'm showing him and everyone else that I am there for him and that he should continue fighting.

So I do have a few things to say to defend him, I don't care if it doesn't make sense or someone things I am wrong so there.

First of all yes the things he wrote to his friend on myspace were pretty bad, they were rude and highly inappropriate, BUT it happened four years ago he was young and stupid, I mean he was still a teenager for crying out loud! We all know teenagers can do pretty stupid things but its not like he went out and killed somebody.

Not to mention he was born and raised in America for most of his life, and the way we live our lives over in North America is different then Korea... because every country lives differently. So going across seas to live at that age when you don't know the language or way of living would be pretty hard and he was suffering from extreme culture shock. I would like to see everyone try doing what he did, living in a country away from all of your family and friends and everything you are familiar with where you don't know the language or way of life and where you have absolutely no one to talk to and let your feelings out because there is a language barrier.

He was just trying to vent to his friend about how he was feeling and he just couldn't find the right words to do so.

And it is pretty obvious that throughout the four years JaeBeom has grown up, he got older and he matured. Meaning he now understands Korea, he knows the language and he is learning more and more everyday. He also knows that he was wrong and he tried to explain himself the best he could with his apology. If you ask me? his apology was perfect. I forgive him. I know I'm not Korean or anything like that but still. Everyone deserves a second chance.

If that lame quote "If everything was solved by saying sorry then why do we have laws" comes around it is completely wrong because well it doesn't make any sense. Yes laws are good things when it comes to things like stealing, rape, abuse, murder and other terrible crimes like that. This quote doesn't go with this situation though. This is what an apology was made for, to help clear things like this up, this is why saying sorry is used.

If people think that Jaebeom should be punished this hard then you are just ridiculous... Do you think he should be put in jail for saying this after he apologized? should he be sentenced to death? NO because then we would all be a bunch of savages.

Anyway I'm done now....

it has been confirmed by the 2PM/2AM international fansite, 2oneday, that jay has left 2PM and reps from JYPE have confirmed this. 2oneday just put up a message on twitter that said jay is flying out of korea to return to the u.s. at 6:30 KST and the president of hottests are calling on all fans in korea to stop him at the airport! if you are a 2PM or jay fan living in korea and read this, please stop jay from leaving! or at least show him our love and that he should stay with 2PM.

hopefully someone can stop him from leaving...cuz its not worth it to give up on his career/dream cuz of all those anti

You are right; if anyone who had no intentions to support JaeBum, please just ignore this thread and carry on with your hating in your own thread. Seeing some harsh and sarcastic comments on other threads/forums (regarding this issue) isn't going to help either. At least supportive actions and words can lighten up the mood of supporters and fans of 2pm.

Though it is a sad decision for him to leave the group but now with all the hype and pressure gained from this saga, somehow I feel happier that he will be accompanied with people like his family and friends by his side to carry on with his life and hopefully, one day, we will see him on stage, somehow. Okay, you guys all know that I've recently fallen in love with my very first Korean group, 2PM, and I've been obsessively blogging about them. Well, I've been out of town this weekend, only to find out now that the lovely, adorable leader Jay is no longer their leader because of some comment he made years ago...I swear, certain people are harsh and have nothing better to do than to dig up stuff on people...

They act like he's a political figure and get so angry and overboard over something so silly. We've all said stupid things in our lifetime, but nothing that would cause you to leave something you love...people you love...

First they bring up something Wooyung had said on TV that he apologized for, then Chansung littering...Why are people so mean and cruel like this? If you don't like someone, then don't like them, but don't put all your energy into trying to bring them down. This was Jay's dream, I'm sure those guys are like family to him by now...and now he's forced to leave. This is so sad, I really could cry.

How can I support Korean entertainment if they allow their anti-fans to bring an artist down from where he stands? They are basically letting the anti-fans control their industry? How is Jay supposed to stand tall as a leader with people giving him dirty looks or thinking bad things about him? 2PM was my first and will be my last Korean group to love and listen to.

This is of course, my freedom of speech, and my opinion, and this subject literally breaks my heart. I've grown to love 2PM and the individuals in the group, and I can't believe they won't be the same again. The won't be, because Jay was their leader, rightly so, he belonged in that position and deserved to be there. They can't replace him, they shouldn't. They should leave 2PM as they are.

I'm just so pissed off at people...we are all entitled to our opinions, I say stuff like that all the time, but only because I'm a "nobody" that no one cares. Why do people have to get offended, take it literally, or bring it up to ruin someone's career? There are worse things in America with celebrities, but they're still celebrities.

Jay, come back to America, we'll love you here in spite of your flaws, because we're all human who make mistakes.

I'm incredibly sad and disappointed by the whole situation. I don't know if I can still support 2PM, let alone JYPE knowing that this all went down like this. I can't bare to see all 6 boys knowing their goofy leader will no longer be standing by their side.

You are right. Jaebum was 18, young, and a typical Korean-American teenager. Of course he would say something like that. Even I say things like that. And I know that some Korean-Koreans say things maybe even 100x times worse than that to their friends. Heck, I've probably said something worse than that before. And he's apologized for something he did 4 years ago that he forgot he even did. So over 3000 netizens signing a petition for him to commit suicide? They must be out of their minds. That's blowing this thing way out of proportions. I hope more people support him...

His comments weren't shameful, they were taken out of context by those netizens, and ALL OF US, at one point or another, when we're far from home, in an unfamiliar place, will say we hate that place or those people, we can't deny that. I do it all the time, even in America, I'll say I hate America, I hate Americans, but it doesn't mean I meant it in a bad way. I'm sorry, but this isn't meant for you specifically, I'm so pissed at the situation, so I'm venting.

Did they care to post the comments he made where he said he loved Korea? I can't believe the netizens got JaeBeom to leave... he probably made the decision to leave because they were even attacking the other members. This is just sad. Like all you said, it happened four years ago when he just moved to a new country.

I'm glad that stars are coming out now, like Boom and Kwon to support Jaebum. But why didn't they do that earlier? And why didn't they showcase and highlight his Myspace or other places where he talked about Korea in a positive light earlier?

I'm sure there will be more stars coming out... so to speak, to talk about Jaebum. There seems to be alot of fear of retribution from the nameless people called netizens. Maybe because you can't point a finger at the netizens, so many people seem to fear what they say.

I hope that Jay can make it back as part of this group because he is THE LEADER of 2pm and anyone else would be a poor replacement.

I really can't believe Jay left. What's even more unbelievable is that JYP didn't do anything to stop this disaster from happening!

And what's gonna happen to 2PM without their leader? Every group needs a leader. Especially a group with as many members as 2PM has. Even if they replace Jay with someone else as the leader, the group will never be the same anymore! How are the other boys gonna deal with this? I'm sure they're as sad as we are.

He's apologised so many times already. Can't those antis just leave him alone already? Jay only posted those comments on Myspace because he was having troubles. It's not like someone can so easily adapt to a country where the culture is so different from his hometown.

Dancing and singing was his dream. Now that he's achieved it, all the antis shattered it.
I hope Hottests can do something about this! We need to bring him back!

i was devastated when i found out that jae was leaving 2pm....i almost cried. i think he gave up too easily cause it has only been like five days. he should have waited to let everything die down but i know that the decision that he made was selfless because he thought that he was bringing the group down. I LOVE YOU JAE AND I SUPPORT U FOREVER!!!!!

now for the rant...stupid netizens. seriously don't they have better things to do than ruining not one but seven people's dreams. gosh how would they feel if they were in jae's position? the thought of actually starting a petition to have a person commit suicide is the same as murder and it's repulsive. i understand that they were insulted but who doesn't get insulted once in their life? you just have to build a bridge and get over it. gosh it's so much better to be "gay" than to be sick, twisted, unsympathetic MURDERERS like those ppl who signed the petition.

I really think that the best situation is for both Jae and 2pm members to lie low for a while and let all this b.s die down. us true fans will wait until they are ready. if the other members are to continue then let them do it with only six ppl n don't add any new members because i have a feeling that none of us will be able to accept the new guy. then Jae should come back in like three months with better understanding and more talent.
