Nick Cheung not afraid of rumors with Charmaine Sheh

Yesterday Nick Cheung, Moses Chan, Charmaine Sheh and Kate Tsui were at the golf course filming for the sales presentation of "Bad Love Hits" (《絕地擊情》). Haven't returned to film for TVB in 4 or 5 years, Nick said: "Actually TVB has always looked for me, this time even Producer Chik Kei Yee thought it was very attracting, "Secret of the Heart" was also produced by her."

I have never seen Nick and Charmaine acting as a couple in a series before, hoepfully this will be a refreshing couple. I can't wait to see his series now.

Is this the same series as the one mentioned in another topic? It only states '[UPCOMIN][TVB]*Untitled*", starring Ada Choi, Steven Ma, and Nick Cheung. I only noticed it's the same producer.

OMG. I just read this news today. The story starts with Nick's character going mountain cliimbing with his friend. They ran out of food and water and then Nick ends up EATING HIS FRIEND After he is rescued, he later married his friend's girlfriend and then goes on to talk about him ruthless in the business world...

Anticipating this! Hahah. It looks good to me! xD

Nick Cheung is returning to work for TVB



Nick Cheung accepted an interviewed by "Road Show" yesterday. He exporessed that he would be returning to TVB in the middle of next year to film a new series directed by Jonathan Chik. The series is about him and his friend went climbing in the mountain. But they were short of food. He ate one of his best friends. But he was saved by the rescue team. Soon after he returned home, he married his dead friend's girlfriend. He is also using dirty tricks in his business deal. Nick disclosed that TVB had discussed about him doing some series the past 2 years. But he wanted to see the script first. He didn't really want to be in a traditional role of being a hero or good guy. Reporter asked him about the scene which might show him eating a person's flesh, whether his daughter would get frightened? Nick replied "I don't think the camera will show me holding a human hand like I am hiolding a drumstick. It will show the scene but pretty much as symbolic. I wouldn't want to lower the standard of filming just because of my daughter. If the sript is good, I will take the job."

Really, from the synopsis and the pictures for this series, it sounds really good. I believe Nick's character in this series is going to be evil. Also, you can view pictures from this series at the link above. Can't wait!

i think this is the most interesting series for 2009.. the concept and idea is so different.. this series has a lot of potential plus a great and grand casting!!! Nick coming back!! woohoo!! and Moses and Bowie... plus a great female cast... Charmaine, Maggie Sheren.. plus new pairings... hope when they film it they keep the original cast!!

oh I can't wait to see this one! Nick is back and he's being kinda bad again!!! Great cast, well, except for Kate...but the rest rock!

I think this series would be great if all the people in the presentation would confirmed to be in it. I hope Charmaine will confirm because this is a different role from her goody goody role (not that I don't enjoy them). But I like how she was in War & Beauty, very cunning. Also, very fresh pairing with Nick.

and now this? Why must TVB let the old people collaborate once more...i thought 2 were enough but then 3 and now 4. Even if this series has nothing to do with the other 3, TVB shouldn't let almost the same actors and actresses act together in too many series. Why not exclude Moses, Bowie, and Maggie out? No offense....Just my opinion

I agree about the cast. As much as I like some of the cast here, I can't help but feel I'll be watching The Gem of Life and other series again. Moses look here looks very interesting. I'm looking forward to it, but yeah, it'll be nice if they mix the cast up some more. TVB has a lot of actors and actresses, but really, sometimes you can't help but feel they are lacking actors since they like to use the same people repeatedly for their series.

Add CIB Files (2006) to your list. LOL. The producer only uses that particular combination of actors.

Don't worry, this is only a sales brochure clip. It is not 100% confirmed to be filmed, as much as the casting. Even if it is finally shot, by the time it goes on tv it will be at least two years from now. by then, you will forget about Gem of Life.

I'm excited about this upcoming series. Cannibalism is definitely a very challenging theme to tackle. I give TVB credit for having the courage to venture down this route. I just hope they don't water it down in the end.

In terms of the cast, I like the cast from the sales presentation. It is true that Moses, Bowie, and Maggie have been used way too much; however, at he same time, they are probably the better actors and actresses out there.

I definitely like the pairing of Charmaine and Nick. So, hope they will at least keep them in the series when they start filming.

Some interesting cast to join this series would be Michael Miu replacing Bowie; Astrid Chan replacing Maggie; and Kevin Cheng replacing Moses (he can definitely do evil after his turn in the Ultimate Crime Fighter).

Ooh, I'm anticipating this, it has a really good cast lol. Can't wait!

There's nothing in this series that I care more about than watching Sheren's character. She is 100% fit to be the best damn lawyer. I'm really hoping this series goes through because it just seems so interesting. Moses with a beard? Damn! Haha.

But seriously, I can't wait to watch Sheren's character rip into Bowie, Nick, and Mose's characters. Potential series in 2009 all seem to be very, very interesting.

This one will most likely NOT be made. Given the recent budget cut in TVB, this is one of the planned series that TVB is thinking about cutting. Producer Chik Kei Yi's track record has been poor in recent years. Dance of Passion flopped and The Gem of Life flopped even bigger (it has not average over 30 since the first week). TVB is not willing to risk making another long series with this cast.

TVB is bringing back Alot ot Vets this Year, Kenix, Nick, Ray Lui, Jamie AND SO MUCH MORE! CAN"T WAIT!

Perhaps, but if Sheren is going to be in this, then it may not get cut. Sheren is a ratings booster. I find most of her series very good, like Your Class or Mine and The Family Link. The storyline is different, so I would rather this be filmed than Palace Scheme. If the script is well written, like Last One Standing was, then it could potentially be a hit.

As for the comments on this being the same cast as DOP, GOM, etc., well if you think about it, TVB really don't have a lot of talented artists under contract. You will always see the SAME people repeatedly because TVB really don't have a lot of artists under contract, and they're not able to attract a lot of outside talents to film series for them. This is why they're asking veterans to come back to film a series or two for them. I don't really have a problem with producers using the same people as long as they can act, unlike Yvonne Ho from Last One Standing.

This series is comfirmed by Bowie Lam that it will be filmed at the end of the year 2009. [maybe december 2009]

i saw the preview for it, it looked okay, it's just that i'm tired of all the same casting, bowie,moses ( only happy for nick). its not like the old days anymore T_T

I think Charmaine is one of the better TVb actress, without her and Ada. I don't have many TVb series to look forward to. SO I will definitely watch this if Charmaine is in the series. I really like her role, and very fresh pairing with Nick.
