i only watched MIT for both arron and xiao gui...if it wasnt for their sake i would have closed it down long ago...
though u may say its unfair to judge gg on the first ep. but not everyone has the time to sit down and keep watching more to look for more improvement.... if its crummy then most likely people will just turn off... especially on the channel MIT is airing since it is unusual for a teen idol to be aired...

i agree that it is suppose to be eye catching but GG didn't really have a lot of scenes in the first episode and i think the drama is more base on Aaron first and we can't really say yet again because this is just her second drama and she is still young...and i think she is capable to play other roles but she is some what known for the "trouble maker" so i think Andy Ge likes to take her into those roles......(ANDY GE!) hahaha......i am not saying its all his fault either..

but my point is that her acting in the first ep. was really not much of a different to BSM...

wen people judge her on the first drama BSM, people say its her first time i agree but the second should have a bit more of an improvement but this role is basically identical to BSM
and i thought artists and actors/actress have the free will to refuse or accept certain roles? dont managers just give suggestions and the do lil stuff...but acceping the role or not is actually up to the actress herself? but a good actor should have the abilty to portray ANY role and can ADAPT to ANY role not just the same repeditive ones....

hmmm......honestly i think she did make an impact in eppy 1....some might not agreed but the main focus of the eppy 1 is in Arron and hardly her.....besides you can see that she is less jumpy than she is in BSM.....she is still jolly but much more sober than she is in BSM and i can definately says that she did improve a little.....

i really dont hate gui gui. there are times i do lik her. well i can say that her acting abilities are very limited. shes ok in BSM cuz her character resembles her but, in HTQXZ she is not really good at being the bad guy, only if its for a split second in the drama still she does not cut out to be the bad guy. I get the feeling Gui Gui's making a typical newbie mistake, and failing at the subtle moments that make a performance great. Her crying scenes, to me, are already more convincing than some Taiwanese actresses, implying to me that the quick emotions she shows outside of acting can be channeled to her benefit, but an issue with her BSM performance and her MIT performance thus far is a lack of subtlety of expression.

On a completely different note, I do find the argument that people like Gui Gui as a pretty face alone a little flawed. Yes, her acting and singing need a fair bit of work, but it seems that those who dislike her are happily ignoring what has won her a lot of fans- personality. Before the "but that's not a real reason to like her!" argument rains down, think about it- people were first introduced to her on a show where she is essentially hosting, her personality was what drew people to her. Add to that that her only drama roles of note have essentially been heavily steeped in her own personality, and thus anyone drawn to the role is drawn to her. There's a lot of entertainers in the world that aren't the best at their craft but have a certain quality that just attracts people to them, charisma is hugely necessary for an entertainer, as the Taiwanese industry should show, as lord knows the majority of the entertainers aren't the best, but draw fans despite this.

I can see your points and suspect where our opinions differ is in estimation of her potential. Looking at her acting and singing as it now stands, I feel she needs a lot of work, but has the potential to be good. Her acting has those tantalising moments where I feel she can do it, and her singing has a base tone I feel can be worked upon to make a good singer. As she now stands, she's a personality I enjoy, an entertainer I want to watch grow. She needs to put in a lot of work and call it the zealousy of a new-found fan, but I think she can do it.

i just finished MIT ep2 yesterday... where should i start...
well first i never actually paid close attention towards the whole pouting thing but thatll be on my list.. but i wasnt too much into her either cause i was trying hard to kinda ignore her existance... but there was one particular scene that drew my attention towards her acting and that was the whole fighting scene where she ran back to tell miss cherry and it looked like she was smiling? and then she kinda said it without too much expression or gestures but certainly there was tone... and she seemed kinda calm wen she was suppose to be all panicky and sound alarming but yeh... well i guess the scene itself was crummy cause i was laughing throughout the whole time 0.o and i got bored at laughing over sumthing that was suppose to be all climaxed and 'big' and to top it over her acting finished off the scene really crummy..

I tried to look back on her acting in PLM, trying to find her flaws and all. She did have some scenes which look a little fake but overall, as in, if I look into it as a whole, I don't find her acting THOROUGHLY fake, or what you call it.

Everyone has their own opinion on what kind of acting is acceptable and what not.

As much as I think Gui Gui isn't all that talentless, I have to agree with people who said that those underrated Hey Girls, or EVEN the girls in Wo Ai Hei Se Hui, which are not even part of the group at all are much talented than GuiGui.
There are better dancers, and singers among the other girls. Xiao Xun is a much better actress too.

gui gui is actually hardly being promoted.. her role in BSM was really small from the start until it grew, during the middle.. she got recognised from her acting skills so thats why she got the lead role of Pi.Li.MIT. she always stands at the sides when theyr doing promotions in other countries etc etc.
when she sings she hardly gets any lines.
so technically she isn't getting promoted a lot & it's because ppl are actually noticing her.

Actually gui gui is something, at least she's up there in Taiwan, i can say a fair amount of ppl know her, she's the most popular out of Hey Girl, even before she acted in the two dramas so i don't get why ur saying she's not famous since she is, it was her role to go into wang zi's house, do you really think she'd do that in real life.....

I can understand how you feel, but just bc anti-fans are bashing GG doesn't mean you should bash right back at her either bc it will make us fans look pathetic like we're just bashing at someone else to get even not because we really are sincere in defending her! You get what I mean? But I do see your reasonings there. Apparently we all have different perspectives on certain veiws so whether or not you like her acting it's totally up to you. IMPO I do see her improvement from BSM to PLM and I hope that she will continue to grow and learn from it!!! About her thinking she's all cute? Despite the fact that she is the most popular I do agree that she doesn't have much promotions or parts in singing. Even though she didn't have a major role in BSC she
was the first one to be able to step out of the whole HG group and star in her own drama.
But yeah back to the whole acting thing, Agree! Being an actress there will always be room
for improvment. But even though she's only 19 it doesn't mean that she doesn't understand the concepts of bettering her performance you know? (Not saying that she doesn't or isn't!) Nowadays kids 5 and over are being casted in dramas/movies and they can pull off a great performance too! (Hopefully you guys get my comparison. It's not meant in a bad way honestly.) So age shouldn't be the factor stopping her from giving a great performance it's just an excuse. Anyone can do anything (well most things) at any age if you just put in effort and dedication!!

Actually, GuiGui is everything. & again, she's not the best

I honestly think she's the prettiest in HG right now. <3 though, she still got the cute face. & how do you know she "feels" famous? Are you GuiGui? I don't think so. In fact, she's actually the MOST POPULAR girl in Hei Girl & she has the MOST FANS! She always goes to Wang Zi's house cause that was part of her character? Blame the script, not her.

How do you know Wang Zi is not happy to be with GuiGui? Are you him? NO. Besides, we can tell he's really happy to be with GuiGui in the BTS video & the pics he took with GuiGui on the bus. And, to me..I think he seems to be happy with GuiGui. He's always laughing & making jokes..But on the other hand, he isn't really that playful with other girls. When Wang Zi was in BSM, his character was supposed to be the "cool & stubborn" type, so of course he isn't going to be all "happy & smiley" in it. In BSC, his character was DIFFERENT and no longer the "cool & stubborn" type. Besides,
BSM & BSC are dramas and WANG ZI's an actor..so he's really acting to be "happy" And he doesn't choose GuiGui anymore because PLM's airing & he needs to promote BSC. I mean, duh...or who else going to watch it? And I bet their answers are SET.

Most of Gui Gui's promotion seems to be outside of the Hey Girl/Channel V sphere, so it's hard to say whether she's more or less promoted than others, because for the others it's mostly from Channel V.

Incidentally, I really don't like this fanwar thing that seems to be happening. It seems like Guiwang fans decided it's necessary to hate Xiao Xun, and in turn Xiao Xun and WangXun fans decided it's necessary to take that out by hating Gui Gui. It all seems entirely pointless to me, and really isolates fans like myself, who don't feel a necessity to hate either party, but can't seem to find a forum on either without hatred of the other one coming with the territory.

actually thats true, gui gui is Hei Ren's favourite girl, no doubt in that but do you kno why he treats her so well? & is espeically close to her..? actually he even mentioned it before in one of the episodes that he treats gui gui the best because none of gui gui's parents live with her.. they are all living really far away from her & gui gui has to live in town by herself without anyone to look after her, so ocassionally fanfan & hei ren will bring her over to their house etc. so if Gui Gui likes Mike He (which she obviously does) ofc hei ren will give her a chance to go and interact with him, she interacted with Mike once.. & im pretty sure mike has been on WAHSH many many times, and has already interacted with many other Mei Mei's.
maybe some mei mei's requested to interact? doesnt mean she's getting highly promoted.

guys she did a fabolous jobs in the crying scene....begining there are hitch and patch in her acting but at the whole things progress she progress with it....and honestly this get me to like her more as i believe she will be better and she is improving herself....

at the same times if u guys really look in it there are really some similiarity between her and ariel......i love ariel equally and more at first i was insulted that they compare ariel to gg for likeliness but hey took the hates asides they do look alike from certain angle and give it a break it happen eons ago......

I dislike Gui Gui. Honestly I won't deny there has been some what of an improvement in her acting from BSM and PLM.

But heck her fake "cuteness" is driving me insane. She's so fake her voice is also in annoying, evaen at times in PLM I feel like strangling her. It's bad enough that after i watched BSM which in my opinion has got to the biggest waste of drama space on the god damm earth. I have honestly never watched such a crap drama EVER.

Her crying scenes are so BAD. Like i dunnos i don't feel the 'emotion' in her scenes its seems way too forced and all. NOT TO ADD FAKE. Really she needs to learn to act properly. AND QUIT with the cute roles. She really needs to try a different genre or something. Maybe i'll give her another chance.
