Jessica Hsuan, Sunny Chan and Selena Li were filming in Tai Kok Tsui for "My Wife, Your Honour" yesterday and Jessica reacted to the news of the marriage break up between Hong Kong born Princess Alexandra of Denmark and her husband Prince Joachim, saying that there are too many divorces nowadays, so this does not evoke very strong emotions. She says: "Maybe there have been too many divorces recently, so when I heard this, I did not feel anything. However, this will not affect my visions of marriage because I have never really wished for a fairytale wedding."
Jessica had mild gastroenteritis, but after resting for a night, she is almost fully receovered. She says: "I was going to the toilet constantly that night and finally I could not stand it and skipped location filming to go and see a doctor. The doctor said I had mild gastroenteritis, probably because I am not getting enough sleep, so the infection has entered my digestive system."

Jessica Hsuan and Monica Chan took part in an event for the "International Clean Shores Day" and although they were dressed in diving gear, they did not go into the water. Monica indicated that she had a minor traffic accident in the water on Wednesday, where she grazed her face and then felt a little dizzy, so she sought hospital treatment. She says: "I can't dive just yet, but it is my hobby for life, so a little break is nothing." She also says that earlier she was shooting a thermal underwear ad in Harbin and she was even more wrapped up than wearing diving gear. She says: "I will also be a spokesperson for an autumn and winter nightwear range, but I won't do the strappy summer designs as I would like to keep my mature lady image!"
As for Jessica, she explains that she is still recovering from flu and is worried that diving would aggrevate her condition, so she did not go in to help with the cleaning operation. She says: "I have always been very supportive of the cleanup on the shores." She believes that Hong Kong people have very little sense of environmental protection and this needs to be promoted more. She also reveals that after filming "My Wife Your Honour". she will be going on a diving expedition with Monica in December.

Jessica Hsuan has started a boycott on the TVB canteen food recently, but with her colleagues not getting a decent meal either, she has finally spoken out saying: "I don't want something to happen before someone will say anything because it will be too late then."
Always the outspoken one in the crowd, Jessica indicates that the reason she has decided to speak out openly about the poor quality food in the company canteen is because she really can't stand it any longer and she has had a number of bad experiences with the restaurant: "One night, a group of us went to the canteen for dinner and at first I ordered a tomato omelette, but there was a problem with the tomato and they swapped it for a roast pork omelette, but then there was a problem with that as well. Finally, they swapped for four cups of jelly for us and I feel that 'change it for you' is fast becoming their slogan. I don't understand why they don't just return the money, we can put up with it being nasty, but if there is a problem, then this cannot be tolerated."
Jessica also indicates that she knows of many colleagues who are unhappy about the quality of the food and service in the canteen, who have complained, but their problems have never been addressed: "I know that many artistes are afraid of causing trouble and daren't say anything and the backstage crew are afraid this will affect their jobs, so I will speak out for them! I could not say anything, but everyone works so hard in exchange for our food, so I don't want something bad to happen before I speak out, because that would be too late then. I have heard that the food during office hours is much better, but at night, it is a lot worse, so those who work in the offices probably don't experience the bad things as much."
With her sensitive digestion, although Jessica has been woking in TVB City recently, she will try her best to drive back to her home in Clearwater Bay to eat or just eat snacks if she cannot make it back in time. As for Jessica's co-star in "My Wife Your Honour", Sunny Chan, he says in response to the catering problem: "I can't be bothered to talk about it, but if I can, then I will go elsewhere to eat."

Jessica Hsuan was at an event promoting education to the public about mood disorders yesterday. She says she has never been bothered by her moods because she knows how to balance her emotions, but she knows that in Hong Kong, mood disorders are becoming more and more common because the stresses in life are so high. She says openly that everyone can meet with pressure and it is down to whether or not you know how to handle it. She will talk over things with her friends and to have someone who will listen is very important. She also feels that Hong Kong people put too much emphasis on money, but it is not everything.
Talking of a bank that destroyed some of its client's safety deposit box, Jessica reveals that she has put her "My Favourite Female Lead" award in a safety deposit box because items with such great sentimental value cannot be bought with money.
"War and Beauty" has been very popular recently and the female leads are hot favourites to win the award this year. Jessica indicates that she will be entering the contest without any expectations because she has only had one series "A Handful of Love" this year and did not have any special breakthroughs in her performance. She agrees that "War" was outstanding and she does not know who to vote for. As for the male lead award, she feels that Dayo Wong did an excellent job in "To Catch the Uncatchable".

Does anyone know why Jess hasn't had anymore roles come up yet? I was really disappointed with TVB this year for putting her up with just 1 female lead. I really hope they let her show potential next year. Go Jess!!!
in my opinion, personally, she look cute, i mean, she's not bad at all, she's alright, but one the reasons why i like her is because her acting is really, really good. the roles that she gets, she can really relate to them, that's what makes her so good at acting the roles that she gets.
too bad Jessica won't have a chance to win the Favorite Actress award this year since she onlie have one series....i hope she get a chance next year....Jessica's health is not that well huh? she need to eat more...HK ppl today always worrie about their diet...sigh
Jessica had two series this year no? A Handful of Love opposite Joe Ma and Lady Fan also with Joe Ma... But competiton is pretty rough this year... And for those of you who are wondering why she doesn't have that many series, I read in the news that she decided on producing one series a year (maybe a bit more, but i'm sure not that many per year)to get back on a healthy track.

She indicates that she has reduced her workload lately and tried to do things that she enjoys. However, she says candidly that the award she would most like to receive is one for intelligence: "I have always felt that inner beauty is better than physical beauty."
Jessica took part in the TVB anniversary press conference earlier and cast her vote for this year's awards. Talking of "War and Beauty" being the hot favourte this year, Jessica indicates she has not watched the whole series, but feels that Sheren Tang and Gigi Lai were the best. She says: "Actually, all the female stars in the show did very well, but Sheren and Gigi gave very experienced performances and as they were evil characters who had to use tears to win the hearts of men, it was certainly not easy to do."
On the day of the press event, Sheren wore a red dress that clashed somewhat with production chief Lok Yik Ling's outfit and caused some criticism. Jessica feels that as Sheren was an MC on the day, then there was no problem with wearing red and she laughs that she also wore a red outfit that day. Having once been rumoured to be at odds with Maggie Cheung, what did she think of Maggie's performance? Jessica says that Maggie also did well, but compared to the other female leads, she seemed a little less eyecatching. Just like the Empress Rebecca Chan did very well too. As for whether she is confident of her own success, Jessica says that she only has two series this year, but she is still confident.

Ya, Jessica Hsuan is a good actress. I liked the show "Golden Faith" i think she was very good in it.

I liked all her series, every one of them except A Matter of Customs.... it was hmm... weird... Her acting was great in it, but i didn't like that series.
I think they emphasized too much on the older couple in AMOC. otherwise it might have been a better series.

I like Jessica alot in Golden Faith, she plays a kick ass character as Rachel, so sharp. She is very attractive, my niece loves her so much & she is crazy to watch her too. Too bad she is not in alot of TVB episodes this year, miss her alot. Hope to see her soon in more kick ass movies & episodes this year. Anyone know what she is up to these days?

TVB's anniversary 'My Favourite Television Character' awards have been the focus of many recently and TVB's official website revealed that the results up to now show Sheren Tang's 'Yu Fei' is way out in the lead, with Dayo Wong in second place and a rather surprising third place falling to Jessica Hsuan for her title role in "Lady Fan". With two weeks to go until the anniversary celebration and the final results, these awards will dwell heavily on the minds of the leading males and females.
The emergence of Jessica in the top three is certainly surprising as earlier predictions only focussed on the leads from "War" and "To Catch" and overlooked Jessica's influence. Jessica's excellent relationship with her viewers has revealed this unusual results and cast a new light on the predictions for the 'My Favourite Female Lead Award', as an external threat on Sheren's lead in addition to the 'internal challenge' from the other concubines in "War".
As for the male and female lead awards, the net results indicate that Sheren still leads with odds falling from 4-1 to 5-2, but Gigi Lai's third place has risen to second, beating Ada Choi back down to third for the time being. The fight for the male lead award is still between Bowie Lam, Dayo Wong and Moses Chan as Bowie's odds fall from 6-1 to 7-2.

As for Jessica Hsuan gaining third place in the polls so far for 'My Favourite Television Character', the odds have changed in her favour as they fell from 126-1 to just 21-1. I'm really surprised of the results... I was so sure that Ada Choi and the four leads from WAB would beat out any competition. Seems like Jessica has some really strong fans out there!! I'm happy for her, although personally, the two characters that she portrayed weren't the most interesting I've seen from Jessica.

Jessica Hsuan was shooting for TVB's calendar cards yesterday and when asked whether she has prepared her gown and jewellery for the anniversary celebrations, she says that her outfit for this year has been chosen by her aunt in America and she has another outfit as a reserve. How much has she spent? She says: "It will not be expensive because I will only wear it once and it if is too valuable, it would be a waste. Anyway, I feel that the clothes should fit the person and not the person fitting the outfit, so as long as it looks good, then the price is not an issue."
As for her jewellery, Jessica says that she does not suit wearing too much jewellery as she prefers a cleaner look, so she will not be wearing too many items. Talking of the anniversary as a chance for the female stars to show off all their precious jewels, Jessica laughs: "If someone wears their 20 carats, then I will wear my own 0.5 carats! If that is not enough, I have my looks to make up for it. Actually I do have some contacts with jewellery sponsors, but if I was to wear millions of dollars of jewellery, I would be so scared that I would be trembling. Also with so much security protecting me, it would make me even more nervous."
Jessica says that she is too careful with her money to spend it on diamonds and she feels that buying jewellery that is too expensive is not a good idea because you can only wear it to big events and keeping it in a safety deposit box just makes you worry about it being stolen or damaged. She will not ask her boyfriend to buy it for her either because their relationship is based on love and not money and buying things with your own money is always the happiest thing.

It would appear that tomorrow's TVB anniversary celebration is not only about giving out awards for 'My Favourite TV Characters', in particular the female lead award, but the stars are even competing in other areas, for instance Kenix Kwok is leading so far in the jewellery sponsorship stakes wearing over $100 million worth of gems. As an MC hosting tomorrow's show, Carol Cheng was asked if she was afraid of being overshadowed by all these leading ladies and she says: "It doesn't matter! As long as everyone is happy and the viewers enjoy the show then that's all that matters." As for whether the $30 million early leader Gigi Lai will be adding to her collection, her assistant would not comment.

Bobby Au Yeung, Jessica Hsuan, Bowie Lam, Nancy Sit and Sammul Chan have recently been to Taiwan to promote TVB series and as well as being interviewed by the local radio and press, they also recorded a special show for TVBS, where they performed some sketches and created lots of laughter.
Also, despite their fully packed schedule, they still had a chance to try out some of the local hawker food and Bobby asked the crew to take him to the night market, where he bought three pairs of trainers. Bobby says that on this trip, he had a really good time: "As well as being able to go shopping and eating, the most important thing was to be able to work with Jessica on this Taiwan trip. We haven't worked together since 'Witness to a Prosecution' and I am happy to see her again. I hope that we can work together again in a series soon."

Ok, I am obsesses with TVB's series, especially all of Jess's. Does anyone know how on earth we could give TVB a 'hint' that maybe we want a DIF V to come out????? 
She's pretty+her acting is good...i know she's not new but it's 1 of the success uprise star...hope she can potray more different roles in a few more series!

As I understand, the anniversary show was released in the US around the beginning of December, but only in Canto. At least, I've never seen it in viet. I think it's too complicated to dub. lol. But you can probably find it at a Chinese rental store. I watched it in Cantonese. Didn't understand anything, but eh.

Despite the cold weather continuing yesterday, many artistes still turned out for a dog-lovers walking event including Charlene Choi, Niki Chow, Jessica Hsuan, Jackie Lui, Sheila Chan, Stephen Fung, Halina Tam, Paul Wong and Marco Ngai, however the participant's patience was tested due the long winded opening ceremony. Charlene won some awards at the ceremony the previous night and had planned to celebrate with her colleagues, but as she was followed by the press, she decided to head home early instead. However, she was not feeling too well because of the cold weather and was overexcited by winning the award, so she could not sleep. Charlene was with her beloved dog 'Chocolate' at yesterday's event and as the dog was as cute as a toy and wearing a hooded doggie coat and standing still, it was accused of being a toy dog. Charlene laughed: "The weather has been so cold, so it has been fighting over the heater with my housemate."
As for Jessica, she was at the event with her pet 'Lulu', who was meeting the press for the first time. Jessica says that since she adopted the dog from TVB, it has put on some weight so she has had to control its diet. Niki's dog 'Yoko' is already seven years old, but this is the first time it has taken part in this walk and Niki says that she did not want to trouble the elderly dog, so she will be carrrying it on the walk.
Halina's poodle was frightened by so many people and was a little shaky and it was spotted wearing a jade pendant. Halina explains that this was bought by her mother because she treats the two dogs like her own daughters, so whatever she buys then they will also have a share. Marco says that his dog is very dumb and only knows how to eat and sleep, but it is just like its owner. Paul's dog 'Grape' is very cute and the funniest thing is that it sleeps with its owner every night. Luckily Paul's girlfriend Athena Chu loves the dog too, so ther is no jealousy!
