With the this year's three TVB Anniversary broadcasting in Hong Kong, ratings have been mediocre, except for the comedy "Life Made Simple" starring Ah Wong Roger Kwok and Lo Por Jai Jessica Hsuan. After the first week broadcasting, "Life Made Simple" managed a rating of 30 points and peaking at 32 points. Also premiering last week is the kung fu drama "Real Kung Fu" starring Yuen Biao and Maggie Siu, gaining a dreadful 23 points. Holding on to its rating, the female dominated flick "Beneath the Charm" managed to keep its average 27 points for the second consecutive week.

She's really a great actress! I love her series like in A Hand Full of Love, Lady Fan, Just Love, Square Pegs, and am looking forward to watch Legend of Ah Wong.

i can't wait for TITS II it'll be a grand production but it've been better if louis accepted the role rather than alex fong. i don't think he has that chemistry that louis n jessica share love them together esp in DIF IV

oMg i love jessica she is one of my top favorite actress from TVB...she always had this attitude where she don't really care how others sees her and she is very straight forward with things...unlike other actress all acting fake and stuff...anywho i'm currently watching life made simple..didn't get far but i can tell its gonna be a great series esp with bosco in it

Last night over a hundred actors and actresses attended TVB's 2006 Sales Presentation function. The standing positions of the celebrities are planned according to ones status in TVB and of course that if one of the most focused area.

This year, Liza Wang and Adam Cheng are standing right in the middle and by their sides are Jessica Hsuan, Melissa Ng, Bowie Lam, and Joe Ma. The two hot choices for Best Leading Actress, Gigi Lai and Kenix Kwok, are standing beside Joe and Bowie. Sonjia Kwok, who had suffered a love lost, was only able to stand in the seventh position. Upcoming big stars like Ron Ng, Bernice Liu, Tavia Yeung, Kevin Cheng, and Linda Chung were also near the front. Even though Joey Leung was caught cheating earlier and couldn't stand in the middle, he still got his position in the front row near the front. Obviously that event hasn't ruined his TVB status.

Last night TVB announced their upcoming 2006 series and one of the most attractive ones is 《雙城記》 (Seung Sing Gei) with 150 episodes including stars like Adam Cheng, Kenix Kwok, Michael Tao, and others. But Adam expresses that he haven't talked with the staffs yet and only planned it. As next year Adam is very busy, filming a stage play from January to February, and other stage plays in July and August.

Last night Jessica and Melissa was placed beside Liza and Adam's side, revealing their positions. Regarding this, Jessica said, "I'll stand wherever the company tells me to. I'm fine even if I'm in the last row!" Jessica, who has gotten the best female lead award seven years ago, expressed that she is busy in mainland filming a series so she doesn't know about the Liza, Gigi, Kenix 'fight' for the award.

Melissa Ng has been placed beside Adam Cheng and there were reports saying she is about to take over Liza's place. But she expressed that she only listened to what the company had said, but is very happy. Melissa said, "I'm really happy to stand beside Adam. He really took care of me that night. (What do you think your position is in TVB?) I think I've improved and I'm really happy."

Jessica Hsuan has no confidence to win award

Yesterday, Jessica Hsuan, Angela Tong and Pinky Cheung were doing an interview. Jessica, who is running for TVB’s ‘Best Female Actress’, believes her performance in ‘Legend of Ah Wong’ wasn’t great so winning the award would be difficult.

Jessica believes she doesn’t have a high chance in winning this award, so she has not pressured herself. Jessica said, “I see well for the 3 most popular nominees, Liza Wang, Gigi Lai and Kenix Kwok. There are many Liza fans, so they would be voting a lot. I have not thought about the ‘Best Male Actor’ award. But I think King sir performed well in ‘My Family.”

On Sunday, Angela received ‘Most Improved Actress’ award from the ‘2005 Hong Kong Education Most Improved’ awards. Angela is still anxious about winning TVB’s ‘Best Supporting Actress’ award.

TVB Anniversary series, Life Made Simple, has been a great hit so far with ratings reaching 34 points and peaking at 37 points. To match the marraige plot, yesterday Roger Kwok, Jessica Hsuan, Bosco Wong, Angela Tong, and others were at a 'Lo Por Jai Ah Wong Engagement Party'. Angela, whose popularity has been rising since the series, had alot of fans there supporting and asking for her autograph.

Chow Yan Fat who has been away from the showbiz for a while yesterday attended a public function and greatly praised Roger and Angela, and greatly believes they will get the Best Male Lead Award and the Best Supporting Actress Award. Regarding that, Roger thanks him and says, "As with Fat Gor's position now, caring about the television circle is a very big encouragement for everyone." Even though Roger recieved the 'My Favorite Male Actor Award' in 2003, he still wants to recieve an award this year, he says, "Everyone would like to get an award. I'm really nervous right now. I just have to sit patiently and wait for the results but the waiting is very nerve-racking."

As with Angela, she also thanks Fat Gor for his gratitude and thinks she is very lucky. Even though alot of people have been congratulating her lately, you never know the results until that day.

The pics are not really that clear to me, but I know that sometimes Jessica wears colored contact lens. Maybe that's why her eyes look different.

I think Jessica looked really pretty at the anniversary! When she first walked out behind all the 9 hosts, I remember thinking WOW, Jess looks great tonight. I like the first silver dress she wore more than the other one though, that one suits her more. I wish we got to see more of Jess, the only times I actually saw her instead of just a mere glimpse was during the top 5 actresses thingie.

Jessica Hsuan attended a beauty event yesterday, and walked away with an award for the Most Charming Eyes. The event was so taken by Jessica’s confident and lively gaze that she was specially invited to be the spokesperson for their beauty products. Jessica said that among the five organs, she thinks that the most important is the eyes, and she is very grateful that she was born with a lively pair, and that she always looked rested and in good spirits even if she does not get enough sleep.
Eye care is an essential part of Jessica’s daily care routine, and she even gave pointers on how to apply eye creams. When asked if she thought if her eyes were sexy, she said that they were definitely not. She said that during shoots, the photographer would say that her eyes were too lively, and asked her to sex it up a bit, something that she has been unable to do.

Jessica said that while filming A Life Made Simple, the cameraman would say that her gaze was too strong, but in reality, she says that a soft gaze was unable to bring out any spirit. Aside from gazes, Jessica believes that the eyes are the window to the soul, and you can tell what kind of a person you are through your eyes.

Apart from her eyes, Jessica is also full of praise for her nose, which is supposedly one that would bring good fortune to her husband. She said that she had never consulted fortune tellers on her love life, but she has been told to keep trying and not to worry as she would definitely be able to get married, probably in 2007 or 2008! In Jessica’s opinion, the actress with the sexiest eyes has got to be Shu Qi.

I watch her recent drama, The legend of Ah Wong. This is a funny drama. Whenever Ah wong called his wife, i think that he is very cute. I love her theme song and Sub Song. This 2 song make me want to hear over and over again.

I remember she act in Golden Faith. It touch my heart but i am happy that Gallen Lo and Jessica are together in Golden Faith.

Overall, i think her acting is quite ok. I will support her all the way. Keep it up!

How did Jessica Hsuan get into the entertainment industry? She graduated with an engineering degree in 1992 and she also joined TVB at the end of the year of 1992! But she wasnt a Miss HK??? And i dont think she went through TVB acting class to get into the industry? So does anybody know how did she get into the indsutry? I am just curious!

I think Jess was discovered at a mall or something. Then she did a commerical and later joined TVB.
