yes, she is one of my favorite actresses in tvb.........but i happened to watch one of her earlier series, and she acting wasn't that good...:S.......well, guess it's a good thing that people improved...hehe........even tho that she's getting even more publicity with "ah wong", i still think that she wasn't as hit as when as in the late 90's like from "tin dei nam yi" and etc.........but DUDE! she seem to have a low profile lately ever since "ah wong".......she's more into these edumacation series now like teaching child-raising ethics and legal lessons.....it's still cool, but just not AS cool as before...:S.....hmm...........

I did read an article though from bravenet that Jessica doesn't really want to leave tvb and that she hopes to negotiate a one series per year contract even though she had been offered contract deals by many other companies so most probably she would be able to work something out with tvb.

i 'm now watching a chinese gosh story, it's a ancient drama, and jessica is the second female lead, she looks really great in ancient clothes, not much female actrice look nice in that.

it is called parental guidance but it is not really PG, it is suppose to be a light-hearted comedy for the whole family. she stars in it with adrain pang

the plot:
adrain and jessica recieve joint custody of their brother/sister/cousin(i dunno, really) children after their brother/sister/cousin died in a car accident. to make it easier, they decided to get married though they are very different in character. then, they get into lots of quarrels, blah, blah, blah...
so, in the end, they will fall in love. How predictable is that?!?!?!

oh ok thanx. i oso found out tat it's going to air during the first quarter of 2007.

i went to Hong Kong for the first time and stayed at sha tin hotel for 5 days i left at june 2nd and 2 days later boom joey yung her self celebrated at the xact same place where i stayed dam that was like a once in a life time oppotunity.and i was really really annoyed of it and thought i must be destined to always feel miserable but what the heck i aintno fortune teller talking about fortune teller that musical with hacken lee caled "love paradie" that was sweet and eart warming but in the end about the predeterminded relationship i wonder how common that is.

I just watched Star Awards yesterday and Jessica is gorgeous.

i just realize something that tavia and jessica's personality is somewhat alike...glad to know that they're friends..

both of them loves to laughs and smile....and get along with their male costars.

^^Haha yeah. I actually think Tavia resembles Jessica much more than Michelle Ye does. A lot of people thinks that the partnership of Michelle Ye and Raymond Lam is a lot similar to Jessica and Louis, but I really don't think so. I think that Ron and Tavia are much more like Louis and Jessica. Ron's "cool" attitude reminds me a lot of Louis back in the days while Tavia has Jessica's spunky, tomboyish, happy-go-lucky personality. Louis used to be Mr. Cool, but it's a whole different story when he's around Jess and same goes for Ron when he's around Tavia. But TaRo lacks a break-through series where they can show the amount of chemistry they show off-screen so I'm still waiting for that. It's also disappointing to not have any news on Louis and Jessica together anymore these years so I'm still waiting for their reunion. No matter what, LJ is irreplacable.

i know i can't to watch the 60eps. but i wonder after that will that be it for jessica with tvb?....so sad i can't watch her leave i love her so much!....jessica and louis was so amazing with each other in all the series that they played couple! yes they were the cutest couple!....but i also thought that the jessica and bosco couple was kinda cute for a while! i didn't really like any of the male characters that tvb pair up with jessica expect for louis and maybe bosco! i really don't want jessica to leave i hope tvb ask jessica to be in another serie after the 60eps.! much love n support 2 u jessica!

Hello to all in Jessica forum, was reading your posts, I didn’t realize that Jessica had such a big fan base, out of everyone I know (family and friends) I’m the only one who actually like Jessica and enjoys watching her TV series, therefore I didn’t think she had so many fans.



I heard somewhere that Jessica will be changing her contract to a "per-series" from late 2006 as she did’t renew her current contract. I think Jessica isn’t under TVB management anymore, but under her former manager, Carri Ma. But! I heard that TVB is doing part two of ‘Triumph in the Skies’, but it’s on hold, due to conflict with the airlines, and Jessica still doing 風雲歲月 (Fung Wan Shui Yuet). So I think her future in TVB is a little misty at the moment!

I've just finished some episodes of Dicey Business. And it will be so bad if she doesn't come back to TVB. I hope she will do at least one or two series with TVB. Otherwise, I'll miss her so much..

Jessica's Lucky Charms: Red Underpants and Short Hair off the Face
In her series "Dicey Business", Jessica Hsuan played a compulsive gambler and aside from her mad gambling, she was always laughing and screaming and pulling endless silly faces. Off the screen, Jessica smiles that she does not have very much gambling luck and loses 9 out of 10 times. Even her side-business selling fruit juices that she invested in with Miriam Yeung did not succeed and so she has focussed her attentions on her acting instead.

On their promotional visit to Taiwan, both Jessica and Bosco indicate that they have never won any of the lucky draws at the TVB Anniversary, but Jessica is a firm believer in Feng Shui and every year, she will invite a master to check her home. However, she is worried about people thinking that she is overly superstitious, so she does not put too many lucky charms out. Jessica shares her lucky omens from the series, saying: "If you do not wear some red underwear, then you should bring a pair of red knickers or a handkerchief with you. Also your luck will improve if you have short hair that does not cover your face."

Bosco says that when he was filming for "Dicey Business", he watched the film "God of Gamblers" at least 10 times and he often imagines himself with his hair slicked back like the star of the film as he feels it would be good fun.

Bosco has been busy working every day recently and usually only has just 4 hours sleep a day. At the new year, he will have three days off from TVB and he smiles: "In these three days, the only thing I have to do is sleep, sleep and sleep." Jessica will spend the break playing Mah Jong with her father and mother."

At a visit to a restaurant earlier, they had prepared for a feast, but Bosco wolfed down a pack of duck tongues that he had been given by a fan at the hotel and this left him with a sore throat, so he could not eat too much and could only sigh at missing out.

Jessica Hsuan Walked Off Set When Raymond Lam Arrived Late for Filming?
There have been recent rumors that Raymond Lam Fung often arrived late for filming "The Drive of Life." Yesterday, Raymond was late for an outdoor scene with the punctual Jessica Hsuan, who walked off set angrily after a lengthy wait. Allegedly, even TVB's executive management and Poon Ka Tak, the producer of "The Drive of Life" warned Raymond about his frequent lateness.

Reporters contacted Raymond for further clarification. At first he denied the lateness rumors, but later changed his tune. "'The Drive of Life' is 60 episodes and filming will take 6 months. There is a chance that each actor might arrive late for filming. The production for this series is quite rigorious and there are numerous veternans involved, I do not dare to be late!"

"However perhaps there was some conflict with the time schedules. Each artist tries his best, but there will always be some minor mistakes!" (Did Raymond receive a warning from TVB executive management?) "No."

How is Raymond's relationship with Jessica? "Pretty good. In the past, we shared the same manager, so we had an elder-sister, younger-brother relationship. Jessica really takes care of me."

Reporters also asked Jessica if she had walked off set due to Raymond's lateness? Jessica did not respond directly, "I don't want to talk about it, implicating in more rumors."

Is Raymond frequently late for filming? "Each series will have different filming problems. I don't want to discuss it further." (Is Jessica's relationship with Raymond awkward?) "No, we don't have any problems working together."

Jessica Hsuan and Dr.Dog do Voluntary Work
Jessica Hsuan has been doing voluntary work for the Society for Protection of Abandoned Animals and she joined a Dr. Dog earlier visiting children at a special needs school. She says: "Dr. Dog and I are both volunteers, because the theme of this activity is for one life to bring life and for the dog to bring a message to children in need or disabled children and I find this very meaningful." Jessica carefully taught the children how to get along with the dog and before the event had been out with her manager selecting biscuits for the children and then packing them into 'lucky bags' for them, showing how caring she is.

Talking of her five dogs at home, Jessica was unstoppable: "Dogs are simpler than humans and it is very happy spending time with them. I have so much pressure in my line of work, but as soon as I get home and see them, then I have forgotten about everything. However, when I think back to last year when one of my dogs died, I was very upset, but I will continue to keep dogs and cherish the ashes of those that have passed away."

Jessica Hsuan has New Year Fortune at Mannor Chan's Party
Mannor Chan had originally planned to spend Chinese New Year in America,but as she had to go into hospital earlier, she was forced to stay in Hong Kong for the festival. On the second day of the new year, she invited some good friends including Annie Man, Jessica Hsuan, Fala Chen, Kenneth Ma and Matthew Ko to her home to watch the fireworks. They each prepared some lucky dishes and they had a big meal as well as received some lucky packets in what was a fun and fruitful evening!

This is the first time that Jessica has been to one of Mannor's parties and she and Kenneth were the lucky ones who picked out the biggest lucky packets containing $1000. Jessica says this is a great start to the year and Kenneth says he does not go visiting much, so he normally only receives $1000 overall each year, so he has broken his record in just one night. He laughs that his work is done now.

Jessica Hsuan and Winnie Shum Do Voluntary Work at Animal Sanctuary
As we send away the dog to welcome the year of the pig, animal-lover Jessica Hsuan reminded people not to literally send away their pet dogs as she joined fellow animal lover Winnie Shum to do some voluntary work at a SAA Animal Sanctuary in Yuen Long ealrier, helping to clean out the homes of some pigs and dogs.

Jessica is always full of love as she looks after the stray dogs that have been abandoned and she and Winnie took part in cleaning the cages and mucking out for the animals. The funniest incident was when the girls noticed a dog called Sa Sa bore resemblance to a familiar face. They laughed: "It looks like Bobby Au Yeung, why don't we call it 'Au Yeung Chun Sa'?"

There were also some pigs at the centre and Jessica sighs that some pigs with illnesses were abandoned by the farms and were destined to be die when they are left out in the open. Whilst being photographed with the pig, it became rather affectionate and pushed Jessica into a corner where she ended up stepping in some pig droppings and she laughed out as she cleaned herself up.

Jessica was also worried that after the year of the dog, there will be even more abandoned dogs and she says: "Many boys will buy dogs for girls in the year of the dog and at first they find them very cute, but after the trend, then they are abandoned because of people's ignorance."

However, the abandoned dogs are still very sweet and Jessica and Winnie helped the trainers to give them some special training. When the dogs have learned their skills, then they will go out to the community in the new year to visit the elderly and orphans. Jessica and Winnie will be joining them again to lend a helping hand.

No Riches or Romance for Jessica this year!
As the saying goes, when your gambling luck is down, your love luck goes up, but this is not the case for Jessica Hsuan, who not only lost money at Mah Jong in the new year, there is no romance in store for her either.

Jessica, Damian Lau, Joe Ma and Raymond Lam were filming earlier for "The Drive of Life" and Jessica indicated that whilst playing mah jong with her family over the new year, she was the only loser to the other three people, losing over a thousand dollars. When asked if she has found romance as a result of this, she says: "I have no one in pursuit at the moment. (Have you bought any plum blossom for romance luck?) I did in the past few years, but it didn't work." As for whether her family are rushing her to get married, she immediately shook her head and denied this, saying that her family are very open-minded and tell her not to marry until she has found the right man. The scene they were filming was of Damian rolling down some steps after being hit by a car and although a stunt double was used for the scene, it was still rather ominous for the new year period. However, as actors the cast cannot be too superstitious.

Also, Michael Miu, Toby Leung and Sheren Tang were also back filming for "Drive" and they were all very pleased to have had a few days break over the new year. Sheren says: "I can finally be a normal person again and do all the new year traditions, such as having a reunion dinner, going visiting with my mother on the new year and meeting up with old friends and receiving lucky packets." Filming at a luxury villa, Michael laughs that this is a good omen and should bring fortune for the new year. He was happily handing out the lucky packets as he says: "I won $80,000 from quiz show 'Is that Right', then when I visited Andy Lau over the new year, I won another few thousand dollars, so I have been handing out lucky packets to everyone and buying dinner for the cast and crew, so I have spent about a six-figure sum so far. Bosco Wong visited me over the new year, but he came on his own. I will let him deal with his own rumours, but I gave him advice to keep people guessing because you need rumours in order to become famous."

Jessica Hsuan & Bosco Wong in Taiwan Promoting "Dicey Business"
Earlier last week, Jessica Hsuan and Bosco Wong Chung Chak especially flew to Taiwan to promote the DVD release of their recent series, "Dicey Business" 《赌场风云》. Jessica and Bosco appeared at a mall function, attracting the excited cries of their fans.

Many fans received the advanced notice of Jessica and Bosco's arrival and were well prepared with posters and photographs for the artists to sign. They also rushed forward with flowers and numerous gifts. With their fans' ecstatic support, both Jessica and Bosco were quite moved and flashed brilliant smiles while taking photos with their fans.

To maximize on the time spent with fans, Jessica and Bosco's 2-day itinerary in Taiwan was packed. First they appeared at an autograph session at a store where "Dicey Business" DVD's was distributed, making close contact with fans. Jessica and Bosco also played several games with their fans; the winners could hug their idols!

Next Jessica and Bosco were interviewed by the press. In "Dicey Business," Jessica played a gambling addict, a ground breaking role from her normal characters. Jessica said, "Gambling a little is okay, but to use gambling as an income source is impossible!"

Bosco acted as a withdrawn youth in "Dicey Business." When asked to greet the audience, he said, "To match my character's personality in 'Dicey Business,' I will not talk today!" This resulted in an eruption of laughter in the audience.

Jessica and Joe are the Latest Attraction
After a few days rest over the Chinese New Year, Jessica Hsuan and Joe Ma were filming at the carnival for "The Drive of Life" yesterday in a scene where Joe declares his love on the big wheel. However, when they arrived, they were quickly surrounded by the tourists and visitors who asked for photos with them, turning them into the latest attraction at the fair!

Joe took his son to the carnival earlier with some friends and their children, but when Joe arrived, he was quickly surrounded by fans and in order for his friends and son to have a good time, he stayed outside the park to deal with the fans and waited for the others. When he was in France earlier, he took his wife and son to a theme park there and won lots of toys for his son, because playing the shooting games is his strength [Joe used to be a police officer]. As for declaring his love on the big wheel, Joe says that this is a popular place for lovers because it is very romantic.

Jessica laughs: "Although I am grown up now, but I can still withstand the excitement [of the rides]. I have just eaten, so I asked the director to film the big wheel scenes first and only go on the more exciting rides when I have digested the food, so I don't make myself sick."

Jessica spent the new year playing Mah Jong with her parents and although she lost money to them, she still had a great time. However, the happiest thing was that her fourteen year old dog could be with her, because she loves her pet the most, but he is suffering from illness and may have to be put down soon. Although she will miss him, there is nothing she can do and she hopes that he can pass away peacefully in his sleep, without any pain.
