Here's my coming schedule.

I took part in the 小兒科 game show the other day and TVB will be airing it on 03 Jan 2009. Think it's at 8:00pm. Not sure.

I'll also be taking part in the ICAC 2009, but only in 1 episode with Bowie and 黃浩然。The shooting should take approximately 10 days. After that, I should begin to shoot the new 30-episode series (掌上明珠) around the end of Feb. This will take approximately 3 months. In case some of you don't know. I'll be working with 大宇，Bowie and 商天鵝。

So, this is it for now. All this will keep me occupied till Mid-June.

Jessica usually gives others the impression that she is articulate but in reality Chinese is her weakest subject. Her performance on the show was good and she won $175,000 in cash and prizes. She said: "The questions were hard, nowadays primary school students have to learn a large variety of things. Actually I knew how to answer the last question because it was about First Qin Emperor/秦始皇 and I filmed A Step Into The Past/尋秦記 before. Unfortunately I selected a music subject question and did not choose the Chinese subject one."

Yesterday Bowie Lam, Jessica Hsuan, Vivien Yeo, Raymond Wong, and Pakho Chow attended the costume fitting for ICAC Investigators 2009/廉政行動2009. It has been several years since Bowie collaborated with Jessica and he will play a evil character in this mini series. He recalled many scenes in The Gem of Life which are very memorable to him and couldn't understand why the ratings have not been ideal. Bowie said: "I heard the ratings from HD channel have not been included, I've many friends who don't normally watch TV watching. Although I seldom care about ratings but this time I really doubt the result of the ratings."

Jessica said playing an investigator and catching thieves is one of her strong points and she feels no pressure with this role. She also said she will be going skiing with her old classmates during Chinese New Year, she mentioned many of her classmates are now parents. When asked if she feels lonely, Jessica said: "No, other people's children are more fun to play with."

Vivien will again play a third party role as the mistress of Bowie. She said with a laugh: "Bowie is a very good actor, I wish to have intimate scenes with him and will make a request to the producer." When asked about rumored boyfriend Eric Suen with gastroenteritis and admitted to the hospital , she said she will call and if time go to visit him there. In addition, Pakho Chow will participate in a TV series for the first time, he hopes to become a multi-faceted artist.

I just finished watching both season of parental guidance in 2 days. I really enjoy it. Family light heart comedy/drama.....not my usual cup of tea but I was interested because it's Jessica first English series. I really hope she would do more of them.

Overall...I love the chemistry between Adrian and Jessica. But the script seems to emphasize on their quarreling and fighting....eventhough that is...part of the chemistry...but I was hoping that there would be some balance....giving them some time to bond and understand each other.

Filming of "ICAC Investigators 2009": New Update

Being away for a while, Jessica Hsuan was seen busy filming "ICAC Investigators 2009" in the streets. She portrays an investigator in this drama. Reporters saw that she was relaxed enough to chit-chat with other actors and actresses. They also did not see Jessica memorizing the script. This indicates that filming was not a difficult thing for Jessica.

I miss Jessica so much. It's been a while since she's been in a series. I can't wait until A Pillow Case Of Mystery II airs. I love her chemistry with Bobby a lot. I didn't get to see Parental Guidance 2 yet but I hope I'll get a chance to. Jessica's English is so good, it has somewhat of a British accent to me.

TVB continue to shoot another "Disputing over family property" series in March, Jessica Hsuan to play Evil role for the first time


Costume Fitting for the series "Pearl on the Palm" (掌上明珠) held today

The TV series "Heart of Greed" based on a storyline about disputes over family property had become a hot trend in 2007 and 2008 (Moonlight Resonance). Not only did it recieve the highest TV ratings but also made "Sai Kai" Susanna Kwan and "Hung Yi" Michelle Yim who both played evil roles very famous. Due to the theme being accepted by the audience, TVB will start filming a similar series in March called "Pearl on the Palm" (掌上明珠). The new series storyline will involve 3 sisters disputing over a jewellery business property. This will also be the first time Jessica Hsuan will portray an evil role. Perhaps due to the fact playing an evil role is easier to get more noticed, every artist would like to try. They all hope to have a breakthrough in their career.

Jessica has been in TVB for nearly 17 years. Since entering the industry she has never played an evil role before. After hearing that the role will be very evil in the new series she immediately accepted to shoot this series. In the past the artistes who played evil roles would be scolded by the audience. But after "Sai Kai" and "Hung Yi" got more famous, the artises no longer worry about that problem because nowadays the audience are smart enough to know that it's just acting.

In the series "Pearl on the Palm" many artistes will play evil roles, as well as Jessica Hsuan, Kiki Sheung and Macy Chan playing the 3 sisters. Bowie Lam and Michael Tao have also portrayed many evil characters in the past. Such as Bowie's recent production "The Gem of Life". But his role in the new series will be totally different. There should be plenty of conflicts between Bowie Lam, Jessica Hsuan, Kiki Sheung and Michael Tao.

Not the same as "The Gem of Life"

The new series sounds similar to "The Gem of Life" as both themes are based on jewellery and about 3 sisters fighting. Producer Lam Chi Wah explained that it is totally different. "Pearl on the Palm" is set in the 60's, although it is also a jewellery family business however "The Gem of Life" is more focused on business conflicts. "Pearl on the Palm" is more based on the family, 3 sisters fighting over their father's property and scheming.

Sorry for keep you waiting, this is Lydia. First of all, let Jessica and I take this opportunity to thank Bravenet as a place where all fans can find out more about Jessica.
Regarding the set up of Jessica’s fan club, Jessica and I have discussed for quite a while and have something settle already. Well, let me tell you again why we want to set up the fan club. It seems Jessica has more fans nowadays. Besides fans in H.K., we have fans in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Viet Nam, and faraway places like the U.S., Canada, and Australia, and there’re lots of fans in China as well. As we want to do better and have more time to be with all of you, and to do meaningful works together, hopefully we can learn and grow happily together. We have only simple wishes here: Be simple, let everyone be happy and keep our company, and hopefully give everyone good and happy memories. We may not be a very good new party, but hopefully we won’t receive your complain and sadness in return, otherwise Jessica and I will be crazy! So, from now on, we ask for your mature and forgiveness, learn to appreciate every single moment you all have with us, and we can hold hands together to face our good futures. And please realize that Jessica and I treasure and value every single one of you.
Because we have so many people, we need to use management skill to manage everything. On the same time, we need more hands to work together and to keep things up. Hopefully under the efforts and wisdom of everyone, we create a new family of yours/your new fan club. And from our experiences, success and failure, lessons, and the learning from other fan clubs, Jessica and I have made up our minds and have some decisions.
This is the date for member registration (will announce when the day come for member registration), but only let you know Jessica’s official fan club is going to set up soon. But this is the date to let you know about our wish and rules, and the time to find workers (幹事). Also, you’ve to see if our club is suitable for you or not. If you’ll be a worker, you have to register to be a member anyway. But we have first to find some workers in order to help Jessica and I to work out things including member registration. We have requirements, especially to Workers. We have set up rules for them to observe. We want under the openness and to be impartial to try our best. But we need you support and tolerate because we are neither working in an office, we cannot get a hundred out of a hundred, and this is our first time, nor we are professional. Have you heard of a Chinese slang saying “if we keep our brother happy, our sister-in-law must be unhappy” (meaning we can’t make everyone happy on the same time). Whenever there’re things happened, fans want their idol to come up to settle and to state clearly his/her position, but I don’t believe that’s what an idol need to do, he/she must has his/her hard time too. So from now on, you fans can come to me. I’ll try my best to help you and to get you out of the difficulties.
There’s one point we need your understanding, we are not facing a single person or a country/city, so it’s not easy for us when we face difficulties. It is way more complicated than you thought. And it may not be easy to face or to overcome everything. So it’s good enough to have your positive suggestions, we don’t need any negative decorations. We also ask you to use your real name, or the name you used to have when you do posting, but please don’t use other people’s name. Your name must be better than all others, and we’ll set up e-mail for you to send suggestions later on to us.
The followings are the set up positions of the Fan Club. We do not have chairman, we only have Pre-meeting(會前) (that’s me: Lydia as I’ll help out in all matters), Post-meeting(會后) of course its Jessica, and workers (幹事). Except the two photographers in Mainland China, we’re very sorry that we can only choose fans in H.K., which means fans who live in H.K. which means we don’t care of his/her nationalities. Since we need workers to seat in meetings, worker form creative dept. need to buy things to make props, we need worker check up renting venues, or go to pay down payments, that’s why we think it is more convenient for fans who live in H.K. to be the workers.
We have set up SEVEN positions. Some positions need more than one person. But if we don’t have enough people or can’t find the right people, OR in the opposite, we feel like there are too many people for workers, we may combine some positions together. All workers’ positions and authorities last for ONE year only. After one year, we’ll have another election. But if there’s anyone of the workers commit serious mistake on purpose (like corruption, make use of his/her power, make use of his/her authority to get individual benefit by force or to seize other’s benefit, having very bad attitude to other fans, damage Jessica’s reputation or her positive image, not respect Jessica or her manager, not discuss with her manager about Jessica’s working schedule, refuse to obey, or unwilling to discuss anything with Jessica or her manager etc.), we’ll end his/her position and authority, and ask him/her to leave the worker’s position in demand. Of course we understand the workers are in their learning status. We’ll provide time and opportunities to let them grow. But what I meant about commit crime on purpose is nothing to do with the lack of practice and experience, not on track yet, or make mistake under careless. We’ll help you when you start to make small mistake and warn you when you make mistake very often. But if you commit serious crime on purpose, we’ll ask you to go! On the contrast, if you’ve behaved very good indeed, we may ask you to stay for another year, but may not necessary to be on the same position.
The following are the positions of the Workers:
1. Secretary x1: responsible for keeping the minutes, sending e-mail to other workers especially who can’t be able to seat in the meeting.
1. Finance Person x2: responsible and organize the finance especially to pay down deposit for renting the venue of the function, collect participation fees and admission fees from club members, and posting financial report on bravenet and Facebook.
2. Marketing (marketing & communication)/Production/Creative department in members of three: The three workers together in this group have to think of what kind of activities or functions we should have. Besides Jessica’s birthday party and the BBQ we have in the last two years, we emphasis on charity work, recreation, and sports. Marketing worker emphasis on charity work, how to choose the charity organization, and what we should do to represent ourselves and our own fan club. While Production workers emphasis on renting venue, allocate our works, think of which kind of sport competition, taking up quarters, or other functions. For creative work, we emphasis on props, Jessica’s name board, venue decoration, creative kind of works. But the three of them will work closely together, sometimes they may not separate their works so clearly like we imagine. They also need to post the function content in bravenet and FaceBook.
3. Contact Person x2: one of them response to contact fans from Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Viet Nam, Thailand, Taiwan, the U.S., Canada, and Australia etc. Another one response to contact fans from mainland China. Whenever we have function, they’ve to arrange fan’s sign up before deadline. They have to post message of location meeting on bravenet, FaceBook, and 惟萱論. They are also response for the admission registration at the beginning of the fan club.
4. Photographer x1 (may need two persons in cooperation): They need to take photographs and movies of Jessica during her function (For those functions not organized by our fan club, you can also take photos under our permission, and communication must take place before head). You may ask what’s the different between photographer and other fans who can also take photos. Well, he or she can take some exclusive photos and a movie of Jessica (anything she wants to say may be about the function) during a function while other fans cannot. He/she may need to edit the movie and post it with the still photographs on bravenet and FaceBook for the rest to enjoy. He/she needs to keep and arrange these records to Jessica, let her enjoy these wonderful moments when she watch them again in her later life. It’s very meaningful! Whoever plays this role need to have photographic equipment and the knowledge.
5. Driver x1: He/she better off to have a car or at least a car plate in order to help in picking up the stuff like name board or equipment.
6. Photographer in Mainland China x2: Since the economy has started to be well developed in Mainland China, Jessica has been getting more chances to work over there. We want fans in China have more involvement, that’s why we set up the two China photographers: one near Guangdong Province in the south, and the other one near Zhejiang Province in the north. Your responsibilities basically are the same as the Photographer in H.K. If one day both of you showed up together on the same function, and if the function takes place near Guangdong Province, the one from Guangdong Province will be in charge. If the function takes place near Zhejiang Province, then the one from near Zhejiang Province will be in charge. Or if the function takes place in between two places, then they will take turn etc. Remember, whoever plays this role need to have photographic equipment and the knowledge. (Jessica and I would not want to hear other oversea fans being unhappy or complain about it, because we are still learning, testing, and running it as an experiment. For the time being, we feel that it is not necessary to have Photographer in other country. Even so, it’s going to disappoint you because we don’t have any function doing in other oversea places. Again, we hope all of you understand that if we need to add or cut any post in order to make progress, we will. Let’s say for example, if two months later we know we’re going to have 5 functions doing in Singapore in the coming second half year, then we may/will add an Singapore Photographer immediately, hope you understand!)
7. Special Agent x many (including fans from H.K. & overseas): Special agent does not belong in worker department. First of all, it may not be happen that all workers need to involve in every matters every time for the functions. Second, some workers may help out a lot for the preparation before function but can’t show up deal to his/her own reasons like sickness. Third, we may/need more help to maintain the order in large function. Like the above situations, we need more help that’s why we will/need to recruit special agents. They are recruited for any individual function. In the future, whether we need to recruit or not depends on the situation and the workers’ decision.
There are two aspects we have when we look for workers: (1) psychologically (2) practical operation.
(1) Psychologically: workers cannot be arbitrary and dictatorial, they are unselfish, has a love heart, polite, and mature.
(2) Practical operation: obey, serious to work, enjoy & love to work together, and Jessica & the fan club will always come in his/her first place. We hope to have one or two of them will have experiences or good in leadership, but it’s not necessary. But they can afford spending some time together. We understand not everyone can participate in every meeting or function, but as least in some levels of time and responsibility, otherwise, other workers need to take care of your work, or we’ll ask you to give up.

(Please don’t worry too much! The way we write seems complicated but we just want to be clear to everyone. Actually it may not have so many work or functions at all. Jessica has worked so hard in acting and doing functions for work in her early years. Now, she has grown up and more mature and want to be easy and pleasant to make her work and life in balance. We may not arrange lots of functions indeed.
(For Special Agent, we only ask their voluntary service, and they need to be polite and obey. For fans interest in workers’ position but can’t afford of time, we encourage you to apply).
Besides, after we settle up the fan club and have a stable foundation, we’ll try to arrange more fans gathering for overseas’ fans when Jessica come over to work around.
For Workers position, we’ll provide enough time for fans to apply or recommend. If you have experience or you want to learn in any specific position, or if you know someone who is suitable or interested but because of shy or other reasons and have not apply, you should definitely recommend him or her to us.

All fans want to participate in functions or activities organized by Fan Club must register as members. Members also need to renew in every new years. Nobody can come to our functions without the membership. Once register will have your own membership number. All members require in paying a one time off membership fee. The membership fee is required for buying new set of uniform designed by Jessica. In the future, when members participate in charity activities, they’re required to wear clean and tidy uniform (we don’t know how much are those uniform cost because we have to first decide what we should include in uniform, and have to find out the total number of uniform we have to produce. The more to make, the cheaper they will be). After that, no annual fee will be charged. All members need to pay activities fee every time like before when they participate in any single activities.
In new system, if any members enroll in any activities or functions but have not show up, and if our financial worker can’t cancel the enrollment and have to pay 100% of the fee, then the member himself/herself still need to pay the whole fee ASAP or when he/she come to participate the next function. Otherwise, he/she can never come to join or participate any functions or activities we organize in the future until he/she settles the balance due. We understand it sounds inconvenience to overseas members because they may be late or can’t show up in H.K. deal to bad weather or air plane reasons. But we have no other way because we can’t ask the financial workers to pay extra money for members can’t show up, besides, we have not ask for deposit when you first register as a new member. Since we don’t want to open a company to hold a bank account to put all your deposit, then we need to pay for hiring accountant and auditor, those will be your money as well. So hope you all understand! You have to know, Jessica is an actress in H.K., and if the function is going to take place in H.K., you are the one to choose for coming or not. But once you come to join then have to follow the rules. However, if overseas members can’t come because of the third parties reasons that they can’t control (like bad weather make the plane delay…), we’ll try our best not to disappoint you like the past. It is now 4:30am in the morning and I have just got home from work. I have been extremely busy and I haven't been getting much sleep at all due to my busy schedule. I managed to get 6 hours sleep in 3 nights. I am very tired. Having just read some of your messages, I am so so so disappointed in some of you. I never expected my fans to be so rude and disrespectful! Some of you don't seem to appreciate anything that Lydia and I are doing. Lydia is doing me a big favour by helping me to set up a proper fan club and I can't believe there are those messages about getting a lawyer, changing my manager etc posted here! If any of you are not happy about anything, we're willing to listen to you and see if we can make any improvements, but I expect you all to be polite and mature. There may seem to be many 'rules', but the whole fan club thing is not really that complicated. The reason why I want to set up a proper fan club is because I have heard some comments from fans all over the world about not being able to get in touch with me in order to attend my functions PLUS I would like to take this opportunity to bring along my fans to do something for the society (ie. Hong Kong). Since so many of you have been my fans for years, I also want to bring everyone together to work as a team so that you can learn how to work together with each other. In the real world, this is what you'll all need to learn sooner or later. But being in Jessica's fan club, it's a lot less complicated already coz everyone in the club has a main reason to be there and that is to support me. Having been working in the real world for 16 years, I can tell you that it's not easy. One has to deal with all different kinds of people and things can get complicated. Jessica Hsuan, Bowie Lam, Kiki Sheung, Joyce Tang, and Chan Mei Si attended a promotional event for “Pearl in the Palm” 《掌上明珠》. Jessica and her true love

Jessica was either having impossible targets or characteristics that didn’t work well with marriage as the reason to her not finding her prince charming.
