Anyone dislike the new pairing of Kevin and Charmaine? I feel that they have zero chemistry, especially after watching the TVB 41st anniversary performance. Even in rehearsal videos, Kevin hardly smiled or looked into Charmaine eyes. Compare that to Kevin and Niki, they have such great chemistry, sweet eye-contacts and Kevin was always smiling and enjoying himself.

I just dislike it that TVB tried to shove the new pairing down our throats by calling them the "new golden on-screen couple" ... *puke*

If Kevin/Niki did break up, then TVB is being sooooooo insensitive! But if they didn't and might probably still be together (underground relationship?), how can TVB just shove Niki aside after so many successful KeNi collaborations? (but I guess they can since Niki is not a TVB artiste )

Charvin, Charkev or whatever related to KC is just boo!!! This is just a promotional gimmick by someone else. I just can't stand that fake C, everything she does is just so fake LOL

Lol, i watched the Celebration, Kevin didn't look that happy singing with Charmaine but Charmaine looked happier. xD Even though I haven't watched any KN series yet, on YouTube, I see that they have more chemistry than Charmaine + Kevin. Please? Best Onscreen Couple?

Kevin and Niki is like a golden couple. I don't know about you but when people mention Niki, I would immediately think of Kevin and vice versa. And yeah, Kevin doesn't seem too happy during the performance... (or maybe I'm just seeing things)

Oh god I don't like this couple either. They are not even a golden couple. They should have put someone like Bobby and Esther instead of these two!
Charmaine is a third part who has torn Niki and Kevin!

TVB is trying too hard to force the audience to accept them. Such a cheap move with all the K and C overload! Gahh... watching them dance at the Anni. was the last straw... it totally made my blood boil! I agree with everything you said squirt. Kevin looked like he wanted to get away from her ASAP. Don't understand why Charmaine was being all happy

And I don't understand why they are re-airing UTCOL on TVB right now when they are desperately trying to rub CharKev in our faces.

"New Golden Couple?" Please! This is something I will never accept! Their chemistry is ZERO. Sure, they may be closer in age, but age is not a factor when it comes to chemisty.

Cant's tand them. I used to like Kevin, until he started pairing when charmaine, and winnning rigged best actor at the tvb awards.

They have zero chemistry, and they were horrid in forensic heroes 2!!! I really detest them because of FH2, Bobby was the main character, and they used to concentrate on forensics, until madam ma appeared. Then it became all gushy.

I hate this Kevin-Charmaine pairing.

TVB is totally over promoting them as a couple; pairing in FH2, New Year's Eve last year, TVB events, walking down the carpet at TVB Anniversary 2007 AND 2008.. the list goes on and on.

They simply have NO chemistry at all.

And I can't believe TVB had the guts to put them alongside those classic couples of the past during the Anniversary Gala How embarrassing!

TVB seems desperate to pair Charmaine up with someone. Her pairing with Raymond didn't work very well, especially now that TVB has made Raymond and Linda a pair. As for Kevin, I guess since Niki isn't a TVB daughter, TVB would rather pair him with someone actually from TVB. Actresses like Tavia already have Moses. It's definitely time that TVB realizes that Kevin-Charmaine is one bad choice. Gosh, and they're in "Palace Scheme" next year. (By "pairing" I don't just mean in series; there are "couples" for the Anniversary, events, etc.)

im kinda neutral with this pairing but i really dislike TVb for constantly pairing this couple and promoting them

cos it seems like nearly everyone in this forum is criticising Charmaine because she "stole kevin" from niki.......and i dont really rmb reading news of them two going out....

I think moses is paired with bernice. tavia isn't really paired with anyone, there was an article yesterday? or something, where tavia joked that she will pair with ron.

I agreed and I watched the 41st Annv. also. Kevin and Charmaine totally does not have the collaboration and chemistry at all. TVB has made a mistake. If Kevin and Charmaine can be the Onscreen Couple, they would get the title earlier plus the fans acceptable to them when they were filming Yummy Yummy and Forensic Hero 2. Why have to wait till now only TVB starts to promote them ?

Indirectly, TVB is striping off the title both Kevin and Niki won for the BEST FAV. ONSCREEN COUPLE in WLT AWARD 2008 and its an insult to the Malaysian for voting them and telling us that we have voted for the wrong couple.

They should put back Kevin and Niki since both of them have the best chemistry and as a group of M'sian, we hope that we can see another new series of Kevin and Niki from TVB. It could be a costume series or comedy but definitely Palace Scheme will not be a success and so do Kevin's fans might not like to see if Kevin and Charmaine are put together as couple again.

lmao..I was about to say that too! Gee.. not only embarrassing.. it feels funny watching the "intimate" scenes from FH2.. if I remembered correctly, they had the least applause from the audience while everyone's totally hooked on the older generation, mainly those dated in 80s, which I'm very sure the oldies would have heard/known.. I find it an insult to even include the segment from FH2..

Like what I have said earlier, if anyone were to mention Kevin, the first name that comes to my mind would be Niki! Charmaine is so out of the question -.-

Enough with the gimmicks man! TVB is probably earning a lot from all these tabloids.... I remember reading that Kevin got a call from the reporters saying the magazine issue with his "7 wives" cover sold extremely well. Heh, I think someone in TVB is probably the one who started the rumours in the first place.

You can't FORCE chemistry out. You can't just throw two people you like together and make sparks come out. A real golden couple always happens naturally... just like KN back in Hard Fate.

I just don't like TVB pairing them up and comparing them to the OLDER golden couples in the Gala. It's just not right.

I don't like how TVB is trying so hard to make the audience like them by pairing them up in all the recent events. They should be more sensitive after the reports about Kevin cheating Niki with Charmaine. I'm beginning to think it was they themselves who spread the news out.

Kevin and Charmaine have really no chemistry at all. Kevin hardly smiled and he was very stiff and nonchalant during their "dance" too. Even the older on-screen couples who haven't collaborated since N years ago were really into the performance. TVB should have chosen another couple to represent the golden couple of the new generation. If they want someone from the 90s they could have choosen Bobby & Esther, Louis & Jessica, Ada & Lawrence/Steven etc. From the newer batch of on-screen couples there are Moses & Bernice, Bosco & Myolie, Raymond & Linda....and Kevin & Niki. It is Kevin and Niki who have been dubbed one of the new golden couples since when has it been Kevin & Charmaine?

I like Under the Canopy of Love more since it's a more light-hearted series, but dang, the number of kisses in Seventh Day are just unsurpassed by any other TVB series I've seen before LOL

Transition, yeah, I was wondering how come they didn't ask Boscolie or RayDa instead since they're red hot this year!!! But I guess those four already have performances of their own, so TVB just conveniently slotted CharKev in for that..... nevertheless, still does not make sense to me based on couple-popularity.

Kevin probably was force into this, I saw the gala performining, he didn't look happy at all when singing with Charmine, infact he looked kind of sad too. However, at the beginning of the show when he was pair up with Moylie dancing, he looks so much happier and enjoy a lot more.

^ Haha I saw that bit where Myolie was in a white dress and was dancing with Kevin. I dunno, maybe because the duet they sang was a sad one? It sounded slow as well. When Charmaine went ahhh .. it went a bit out of tune. ^^

I think Kevin is comfortable dancing with Myolie, after so many months of Strictly Come Dancing together.

From awards red carpet to the gala performance, I just somehow see Kevin's expression looking more sad/bored/subdued when it's time for some spotlight on CharKev.......

Actually I like this pairing since 'Life Begins At 40'. FH2 is not the first time they pair together. They have already paired up in Yummy Yummy and paired up for a short while in 'Life Begins At 40' and 'Point of No Return'.But, I agree that TVB is going overboard by labeling then as 'Golden Onscreen Couple' and they still have not gotten audience acknowledgement like Kevin/Nikki and amid this love triangl rumour. I don't know what TVB is thinking. They should let audience slowly accept the couple instead of pushing them down audience's throat which is a very bad move. Maybe that's why Kevin and Charmaine have little chemistry in the performance. The rumour still haven't died down complete and TVB is making them so high profile.


Maybe because Kevin has no pressure with Myolie. They didn't have rumor together. Myolie is safely with Bosco. That's why he can dance freely with Myolie. Plus, they are already use to dancing with each other in the 'Strictly Come Dancing' competition. With Charmaine, there's the pressure of the nasty rumour where he was being potrayed as a two-timing boyfriend. Kevin, being a serious and low-profile guy (he's always very guarded in interviews) must still feel the pressure.

Something tells me TVB won't stop and perhaps some couple endorsements might come along too (since Palace Scheme will start early next year)

What is TVB trying to ? Arranging endorsements for the pairing. They are just destroying Kevin's image as now Kevin is regarded as a two-timer due to the rumours and TVB is quitely admiting that he is one and as for Charmaine, she has nothing to loose because she needs a male artist to push up her popularity.

Whenever, Charmaine is rumoured with any male artists, like Raymond, Roy, Joe Ma and the list goes on, her name will always become the top list in the media at that particular period but never her acting in series except the one she won as best actress in 2006.

Charmaine has nothing else to give to the audience except rumoured with male artists and her wicked smile. Her actiing does not improve when I first watched her series. Always be casted as the good but never the bad in any series. So does the coming series Palace Scheme. I would rather watched Tavia and Mosses, for sure.
