I re-watched this series recently.. and this time, I interpreted the ending a little differently.

When I watched it the first time, I thought that fate ultimately brought Ekin and Amy's characters together. But when I watched it this last time.. I think that Ekin and Amy will never be together because Ekin can't seem to forget Nadia.

What do you guys think??

Yes, I do agree with you. I still remember this series although I've watched it like 10 years ago. Ekin and Amy shall never be together because Ekin never loved Amy at all. In his heart, Nadia will be the one for his rest of his life.

this is my fav. serie from ekin and nnadia together. they made a lot of series together but this is the best one.i watched it more than 10 times(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) i think this is a open ending . i think ekin never loved amy because do you guys remember the end amy wrote the date and time on the money and ekin saw it but he don't went to see her. that's mean he don't like/love amy. amy went back to see ekin because she got the money after a few years later. i think she believe she and ekin has "yuen fun" that's why she went back to see ekin.

Tai The Phong Van in Viet. Agree with you guys, although Ekin and Amy had that "yuen fun" like someone said, but he didn't love Amy at all. He had always treated her as a good friend. He would forever mourn over Nnadia death. It was a very sad and touching death, I cried so much at the hospital part.

i do agree wit u all but i dont think the endding is something special , because i rewatchh it recently found out tat the ending is stil the same even though amy wil not together wit ekin.because she cant forget the most she love.

I don't remember the last scene but I remember that I cried when Nnadia died. Although I wish she didn't die, I think the fact that she died made the series more memorable.

I too rewatch this series not too long ago. However, my views differ a bit from all of you. Yes, I do agree that Ekin loved Nadia very much and that even after her death, Ekin was not able to forget her.

But the fact that the money where Amy wrote the date and time on managed to 'return' back into her hands again although it was already a few years later and she was in another foreign country indicate that her 'yuen fun' with Ekin has not ended. And that is why she decided to go back to Hong Kong to look for Ekin again. By leaving the ending open, the director wants the viewers to make their own conclusion. Viewers who support Nadia of course, would like Ekin to forever remember her. But for fans of Amy, they would prefer to think that the ending signifies a new beginning for her and Ekin.

For me personally, I guess I would prefer Ekin to never stop loving Nadia (guess I'm a hopeless romantic after all!)

This was probably one of the best TVB series I have seen. The chemistry between Ekin and Nadia was really great. It'll be hard to find a pairing like that again. The development of their relationship was also very good. It really sucked that they made Nadia die after she has finally found someone who cares for her. I was cursing at whoever wrote out the plot when she died in the hospital. I was hoping throughout all that time that she would recover. It was hard to believe that they would actually kill her character off. Anyway, I don't think Ekin will get together with Amy Kwok. He was still sitting next to Nadia's character's tombstone when Amy is walking towards him at the end. That signifies he will ever be able to forget Nadia. Even if he and Amy do get together, I don't think Ekin will ever love her as much as he loved Nadia. I haven't watched any other series that pairs Ekin with Nadia. Hope I can find some.

I agree that the director prob wanted viewers to decide what happened. I remember when I first watched the ending I thought that it implied Amy and Ekin would be together.. because fate was just too strong. But when I watched it again.. I felt that by Ekin staring straight ahead and never even acknowledging Amy's presence.. that Ekin would never be able to accept her even after Nadia's death.




I think the reason the writers killed Nadia's character off is because they spent a great deal of time developing the "fate" that existed between Amy and Ekin. There needed to be some sort of ending that included Amy and Ekin's fate and I don't think they would have been able to do it without Nadia's death. It's possible that the writers originally intended Amy and Ekin to end up together.. but later decided to make the ending more ambiguous..

Regardless.. I wish Nadia had not died.. after everything.. they deserved a happy ending..

I agree. This is the best series. I love to watch the parts with Ekin & Nadia the most. The chemistry between them is great & romantic. I was upset too that they kill Nadia character. The hospital & the wedding scene were so sad that I cried a lot too. Ekin never loved Amy because after couple of years, he still takes care of Nadia's dog while sitting at her tombstone. It's so touching.



If you like Ekin & Nadia as couple, you should watch Knot to Treasure. It's a good series too where they both have a happy ending. The series also stars Mariane Chan and Louis Koo (Louis doesn't have much screen time though).

to this day, i still find Nnadia's death scene the saddest in TVB history. Ekin and Nnadia absolutely rock together..i wanna see it again now...btw, i couldn't stand Amy Kwok's character in here..she was "say cheen lan da" (didn't give up!)

I totally agreed with you guys... ekin & nnadia made great sceen couple.. I never fail to watch their series. I have always remembered the scene when nnadia died. It was such touching moment yet the saddiest part in the whole series. I cried over the scene, not just heartbroken but more than that, it moved the hearts of those who watched this scene.

i watch this series a very long time ago..dunno how many years have pass..this series is the one that i love the most and remember the most bcause it has a part where nadia died in the hospital and ekin tried to put the ring on her finger and it didn't fit..he broke down and cried..that's so sad..

Instinct was the very first series that I watched and when I watched it not so long ago, it was still as good as I first saw it. Nadia and Ekin made such a great couple. The most memorable part of this series was when Ekin dad had that affair with one of his workers and then he begged for forgiveness and then the bus went away. That was so emotional. Also Nadia's death was very sad too.

I don't think Ekin and Amy will end up together tooo...because Ekin really loved Nnadia! The ending was so sad!!!!! I don't know why TVB had to kill her off!!!!!! This serie was great and the cast was superb!!!!!!

I love this series i want to watch it again. The scence when Nadia died was soooo tragic. The burnt crisp body of her scard me when i was little. it was soo gross.

Eventhough I really like to see Ekin and Nnadia together, I think there's a chance for Ekin to be with Amy, based on the ending. Amy could not have gone all the way to see Ekin for nothing. The hint is there and I believe if they can produce more episodes, the two would be together. The producers just want to cut a long story short, that's all.

uhmm... i remember watching dis series 2... its been awhile but basically... i don't remember how nnadia was moved out from her family (i think eitha uncle or stepfather dat kicked her out)... so she was suppose 2 rent dis appartment where ekin's family also abt 2 move in dare... they argue bak and forth 4 da apartment but then ekin's mom was nice enuff 2 let her stay... so they spend time 2getha and their feelings grows... uhmm i think Ekin work 4 Amy's dad (which is Adam Cheng)... Adam got problem w/ Amy's mom so she misunderstood him... i rem.. she was kinda spoil... Amy got good impression w/ Ekin so Adam kept asking Ekin 2 go talk 2 Amy... she turns out 2 luv Ekin and stand b/t his relationship w/ nnadia... I loved da scene when Amy was mad at Adam so she used dat reason 2 make Ekin stayed w/ her da whole nite at da beach... then he lied 2 Nnadia saying dat he was working.. Nnadia found out and she left.. Ekin chased after her and said he's sorry and miserable.. asking her 2 come bak.. then next morning he looked down from da apartment and saw "345" on da ground (means "I have left) from Nnadia... so he rushed after her and da rain falls down da his sad music in da background.. then he went bak 2 his apartment and bought 999 yellow roses and hang small pieces of paper saying "333" stands for I Love You and sumthing else stands for I'm Sorry... so when Nnadia went bak 2 da apartment 2 pick up her stuff.. Ekin purposely left da window open so when she open da door.. da wind blows and all those small pieced was blown toward her... she looked at all da roses and picked 1 one piece... at da moment Ekin walked out and said Im sorry... they hugged... (I LOVE this scene soooooo much, so romantic and touching).... anywaiz... then she got burned in da apartment because she was sick dat day and Roger Kwok (plays a bad guy and he was Ekin's fren; he was looking for something in da house and couldnt find it so he burns da house 2 destroy da evidence, he didnt no Nnadia was in da room sleeping cuz she was sick).... then she died as u guyz no.. uhmm.. and there goes the sad ending..... i hope dis help sum of u guyz remember da series.. heheheh sorrie dats all i could remember.... good series.... i luv them 2 2getha... hope they make more series in da future

this is one of my favourite shows...but i don't like the ending where Nadia dies...it was very sad. It should not have been like that...Ekin and Nadia should be together cos they went through ups and downs to be together.

This was definitely a good series. Love the pairing of Ekin and Nnadia, they were so sweet and cute together...enjoyed watching all their scenes together...but the ending was SOO sad! why did Nnadia have to die?! grrrr...Her character deserved a happy ending with Ekin!! I love all the series where Nnadia and Ekin are paired up but I have to say this is one of the best.. They had the best chemistry in here, all the scenes were sweet and funny. It was cute seeing Nnadia character change from the quiet, isolated girl next door with her dog who was her only true friend to a more open up and out going person when she was with Ekin. His character was also nice and filial son, and a caring and devoted boyfriend to Nnadia. One thing I didnt like about the series is Roger Kwok's character being selfish and too money hungry and was mean to his own dad. Another was the ending with Nnadia's death, she should have ended up with Ekin being through all the hardships. It was really sad to see Ekin crying over her death on the wedding day and when he broke down at the pet store. And the only thing I didn't like about Amy is that she was to dependant on Ekin.. but I think eveyrone did a great job in this series making it sadder everytime I watch it

I agree with you about Amy.. I'm usually such a fan of hers.. but I really didn't like her character in this series.. she was always in the way of Ekin and Nnadia.. but Ekin only had eyes for Nnadia!

amy did get a little annoying, but if it wasn't for that kind of character, you wouldn't see all the sweet parts of nnadia and ekin. i admit that i got so irritated by amy cause shes so dependent on ekin and so "say cheen lan da". i got especially annoyed when she said that she thinks ekin doesn't like nnadia but just wants to take care of her cause thats ridiculous. well anyways, if it wasn't for amy, ekin wouldn't have the sweeet apology with the papers flying and the 333 roses, ekin wouldn't reassure nnadia so many times that he loves her, nnadia wouldn't have finally came out of her low self-esteem personality and tell amy that amy is selfish for depending on ekin and that ekin is her boyfriend and no matter how amy feels about him, they would never split. i really loved that part cause shes finally having some confidence in herself!

i also thought the coincidences were a little annoying and uncalled for. its like.. they keep bumping into each other and its just stupid. if there was more to the series, i doubt ekin would ever be with amy after nnadia.

i am just sad that they have to kill nnadia off .. they look so cute together .. also, i hope that amy can be with ekin too ...

I haven't watch this series, but it seems like a good show to watch.... I really would like to watch this series for the first time... Haven't watch it, but i really like their chemistry in "The Zu Mountain Saga". Their chemistry was good in their to i believe. Ekin was soo good in his role as the blood Demon and how he is evil but yet still loves her "No matter how i've changed... my feelings for you will always be the same"... really touching how he saids that...



Uhum good chemistry... I would really hope they will feature as a couple again in the future, i mean in the year 2000+. I miss those two as couple in series...

at the end, i think that Ekin will never ever be together with Amy.. because in the end, when she saw the $ that she wrote on, returned back to her, she believed that she and Ekin had "yuen fun" ....but when she walked to Ekin, i think he knew that Amy came but he did not look back..but he was just sitting and staring at Nadia place with her dog...So, the scence tell us that he will never forget Nadia..Also, do you remember the part that when he went to the pet store. and he saw the can that has Nadia writing on it.. He was really crying..because when she wrote on the can she once tell him that " let some one who has "yuen fun" to buy it, but now it is still there and Ekin actually see it so it mean that they are really has "yuen fun" not like Amy has said that he just feel sorry for her not loving her".it is so sad...At the end, when he said infront of Nadia's place before he go.. "i love you so much, so that is why i go..."
However, if Ekin has a change to fall in love again, i think that he will love somebody else, but will never be Amy.. because I think that whenever he saw Amy he will remember Nadia...also if He has a crush on her or something, he would has it on the first place...y do he have to wait until the end to find out that he really like her...
i dont hate Amy, but in this series, i did hate her because she is so cazy..always says that "Ekin is not love Nadia, but he just feels sorry for her so that is why he care for her so much." but Amy did not think it back that caring for other is actually Ekin's personality...he always care for everyone including Amy..caring too much that make her thinks that he did love her but he cannot betray Nadia because Nadia did not have a happy time in childhood.

This is one of the classic series which people should watch. I remember watching it when I was really young and I can still remember Ekin and Nadia's chemistry in the series was so sweet! They continue to be on my golden couple list amongst Kevin & Niki, Bosco & Myolie, Gallen & Jessica and many more. Its a pity that I don't have the full series and would so much like to rewatch it again!! Perhaps there is a site where there is full translation to the episode I could go to? I also can not find reviews on it, maybe some one would know one?

I also sorta want to know more about those numbers which Nadia wrote on the paper 345? and 333? How do they translate as so?

How cruel is that! If you love someone, of course you would want wats best for that person and forever would want to protect her for the rest of his life. Ekin clearlys shows that, and that proves to the end that he only and only loves Nadia.

To be honest, when i first watch the ending i really thought that destined brought Amy to be with Ekin, how in the end Amy was walking towards Ekin. But after watching it a few times, i realise that Ekin will never love Amy the same way and will never start a relationship with her because even when Nadia is gone, he is set to love her for the rest of his life...

finished watching this recently. thought it have a good cast, but i don't think the storyline is not very good. it too force on this group trying to pull Adam Cheung down, and abit confusing at times
