I saw the Malaysian rental version and it has both the grave and bar scenes. The bar scene came after the ending credits. Anyway, I prefer the bar scene ending because Quin deserves someone better than Fei. Both she and Chi San deserve to be happy.

I saw the ending that Louis saw Jessica was at the bar chatting with Sunny. I hope that will be part V showing Louis end up with Jessica and Sunny with Charmaine.

yes this is a FABULOUS series! Too bad that jessica and louis didnt end up together... but the ex girlfriend did suffer a lot for him.... but chamaine and sunny cant get together... it would be too weird... i liked the bar ending.. the other one sounds stoopide!

All time favourite drama and this was the first TVB serial I ever watched..I began liking Jessica after this series...I cried when Jess left Louis..arghhhh they should be together..Charmaine was very pretty in the series and had left me a deep impression of her..and now I am a huge fan of her and Jess!!!

TVB never change the ending, this is the original series, you guys just didn't wait patience enough to let the theme song finish playing, then they will show the bar scene, this was to set up a part v but i don't know if they will ever come out part v now.

I remember the bar scemes too, and I quite like that ending because at that time I think Sunny and Jessica do match. I also like them in Secret of the Heart. I think it would have been great if they film DIF V after the series finished. Well, too bad, now I don't think Sunny and Jessica match that much in Just Love, maybe because of Sunny's hair.

I've not finished watching this series yet, but I can say that I have enjoyed watching this series so far. The outcome of the murder cases often turn out to be unexpected. There is always the on and off tension between Louis Koo and Jessica Hsuan, and also the love triangle. The only thing I don't understand is the fact that most of the murder cases has some conncection with one of the main characters in the series.

I love the story line.. but too bad anne is in the way between LOUIS and JESSICA.. they make a good good cute couple!

I taped the version that played on Fairchild in Canada and it shows the bar scene after the credits and ending song. I think they should not have put the extra scene in because it makes the ending so ambiguous like some other the other series that TVB made during that time period.

I was also hoping for a DIF V where Louis and Jessica finally get a chance to be together again after all the troubles they went through when Anne Heung realizes that Louis is only staying with her because of pity and that Louis loves Jessica. It didn't happen at that time because Sunny Chan left TVB and now I don't think that people are interested anymore because there are so many new TVB stars such as Ron Ng and Raymond Lam.

This series was one of my favorites along with Cold blood,warm heart, and blood of good and evil! I thought Louis and Jess have got great chemistry. I love wathcing these two as a couple!! Too bad the ending was not what i wanted. I have been hoping for another part but until now i haven't heard anything.

tvb really has to work on their endings. its like some series they make can be so good and then when it gets to the end it feels like they jus ended it in any way jus so they can wrap it up. no creativity at all...its times like this that ruins my opinoon about the entire series.

My thoughts well after Sunny's quote he is referring to Jessica " I hope I have minimized her pain to the best of his ability" Then Sunny says " Whatever happened has happened, you can't pretend that it didn't" referring to the love he has for Jessica. "I hope that she too understands" this, i feel was about Anne....idk i have a feeling... He hope that Anne understands that the years she was away, he developed deep feelings for Jessica and that she undersands that time changes people. We can analyize it all we want be still no def answer!

Uh I thought Sunny referred that to Charmaine, I don't know, it's been a while even though I watched the series several times, guess I didn't really pay attention to what they said at the bar. Well since they didn't referr to any name, they could've been referring to anyone, it just depends how to interpret it, guess there isn't a right or wrong answer to it.

In this part I think Sunny is referring to Jessica in the answer to Louis. When Sunny is talking about having loved twice he is referring to Charmaine first and then to Lee San San who was killed by his crazy sister.

I don't get why they didn't end up together... Can't Ah Fei just take care of Anne and be with Jessica? why does he have to be with Anne.... I never got around to watching the last episode because I didn't have time to watch it. But I did watch the final few minutes of it and I didn't like it because of the split of LJ.

I agree with you guys. The ending wasn't a good one. I felt sorry for Jessica that she couldn't be with Louis. Anne came back and Louis was with her. At the very end, there was a cliffhanger and I thought there will be a DIF5. This is Anne's first series and she had a minor role. I wonder why tvb couldn't just end her character by saying she died in a car accident so that Louis could be with Jess. I could also see that Louis still loves Jessica, but Jessica decided that it was all a dream.


The love triangle affair between Sunny-charmaine-lee san san was boring. Charmaine and Lee san san both loved Sunny. Charmaine is going out with him. When she sees him
with her best friend, she and him split up because she thought he never loved her. Meanwhile, Charmaine's father killed someone, causing her to keep the secret between them. The cops found out that her father is a murderer and sentence them to prison. Charmaine and his father was locked up in jail. Sunny started to go out with Lee san san, but he also loved Charmaine.

This is my favorite TVB serie with both Louis and Jessica starring in this one. They had a great chemistry. Too bad Louis chose Anne over Jessica. I didn't want to believe it, but who could help it. I paid close attention on them two when they were holding hands. Lousi would fiddle with her hands not needed in the serie. Louis doesn't act in too many TVB series now. So sad...

i was dissappointed with the ending, they should have changed it, it was stupid that he picked the other girl over jessica, bcos she done soo much for him? it was obvious he loved jessica more.

best thing about this series is that i can watch it many many times and each time i get a different feeling.
the first time i watched it, when it first aired.. like most, i was totally rooting for jessica and louis, lee san san and sunny. i pity lee san san because she had like sunny since the beginning, but charmaine had the luck of meeting him first

when i rewatched it again recently, i was really surprised at my difference in response..
jessica and louis was indeed a terrific pairing.. and in the series they did go through so much.. but i was relief when he chose anne at the end. i don't think anyone can really say who louis loved more, cause we only saw his story with jessica. we never really saw his story with anne

as for lee san san and sunny.. i didn't like this pair at all the second time around. i don't know why the sudden extreme change.. i think cause to me lee san san dug her own grave (no pun intended) by allowing herself to fall more deeply in love with sunny while it was a known fact that he and charmaine was dating. everything just seems so premeditated.

I've only watched this series once and I'm dying to watch it again. Well, for me, its diferent because I was rooting for Sunny and Charmaine because I watched the Snow Mountain flying Lake first, and I liked Sunny and Charmaine together there. For Jessica and Louis, I wanted Louis to end up with Anne because after all, she is his first love or something. But I wasn't really fond of Anne actually. Then after that, as I watched on, I realised Louis and Jessica was great together, and I really hoped they'd end up together. But the ending was so weird - they didn't end up together. But Jessica was seen with Sunny instead? That I can't understand.

This ending gives me a feeling that there is going to be a next DIV coming up. But where is it?! Disappointment!

This is by far one of the best TVB series I've ever watched!
The entire story was great although there were some parts that made me a little disappointed. I thought there was a great balance between the solving of the crimes and the personal problems that each character was dealing with. I was pretty disappointed that Charmaine's best friend (I completely forgot her name) died. I thought that was a big disappointment and I was disappointed that Louis went back to his first love. There was such great chemistry between Louis and Jessica! However, sometimes, it got a bit annoying when they fought constantly and when they played that english song over and over again. I found that a bit repetitive.
I think the case that freaked and made me the most sad was when "Hung Gor" (that chubby policeman) died. I was so freaked out when they showed him liying in a pool of blood!
Anyways, I wouldn't mind watching this series again even though I've watched it around 5 times

I am this close from watching DIF IV yet again! I really can't because I have so many things to do like studying! AHH, reading all these comments on how great Louis and Jess were as a couple... AHH

my first TVB obsession...oh the memories. i'm still holding out hope for DIF V although its 2006 now =] my hope will remain until louis and jessica stop acting!! haha

i saw the ending at the bar with jessica and sunny too. i guess they made this extra ending to at least give jessica happiness, and it could mean she still love louis of cause but she could also move on in life and find another one. i never really liked the beganning when louis and that girl was together anyways, and i hated how he left jessica to get back with her. they went through alot to be together too and if he loves jessica, he shoud of just stay with her. i didn't like how it end up at all.

One of my favourite series - I loved this series except for the obvious fact that Jessica & Louis didn't end up together. I was quite upset at hoe Lee San San had died on her wedding day too! I can't believe she didn't get a happy ending.
