Anyway, yeah, I don't think EEG will be stupid enough to produce Gillian an album where they'll lose money and all. The only reason why EEG isn't reuniting Twins is that they don't wanna affect Charlene's career. She's been doing fine solo and they're scared Gillian might effect her. I guess they want to see how Gillian is on her own. We never know what's going to happen. But good news is that they will perform together during their EEG Concert in the later half of the year! Can't wait!

To me i think is ok if Twins isn't reunite, I believe that Gillian will be find going solo, her solo album will be success when it release at the end of this year, but I am glad to heard that Twins get to preform at EEG concert, can't wait to hear Gillian's new song it going to be a good song. I hope she will have a duet with some male artist soon.

Thanks for the videos, jazz and bxalann. I felt it was a great video especially how it was divided into three parts. She has grown to be a much stronger and better person. I'm glad she is able to continue working for those who support her and not let any haters bring her down. Also, she look very confident and beautiful in this interview. I especially love her fingernails.

I saw the interviews and Gillian is so calm now. Like everything is back to normal which is a very good thing. Nice to know she has a positive outlook after the scandal and all. A little dissappointed when she mentioned that she does not keep in contact with Edison though. =( But nonetheless, I will be awaiting the EEG 10th Annicersary concert where Gill and Charlene will sing together hopefully.

It's my first time posting here. Been reading this thread for about a month or so. And was surprised to find out that I actually have an account here that I registered a long time ago (i dont even remeber!)

Uhm, I just wanted to inform anyone who can't read Chinese, if you wanna keep your account active at twinscct.net, you can't just say 'thanks for sharing' all the way. The rules over there are quite strict and you are going to end up having minus points thus unable to enter a lot of the major boards there.

For those of you who can't read Chinese I'd recommend going to the English board and start from there.

If you do just try not to use the same words. They actually have people watching out for posts like that. And they take off your points if they decided you are 'watering' (posting meaningless posts).

I know it's annoying but if you gotta be there then you gotta follow them rules. lol.

About 70% of the resources of twins' come from twinscct. Other sites are mostly just copying from them.

Except for magazine scans though. Twinsfans.net has the best quality and first-handed magazine scans but their site has been down for quite awhile. And a few photo takers only post their photos at twinsfans.net also.

The description of the pic from the mag says that it's a snapshot taken while Gillian was posing and doing her make-up. She showed a little of her tiredness from days of lack of sleeping due to work. I loved the shot.

I think Gillian has a very small guest role in a movie and she filmed it very secretly. Here is the picture.

Even though I'm glad she is filming again, I wish this was a bigger part Now I'm starting to wonder whether she can only receive smaller roles now Regarding the film I will watch it for Gillian sake but I really hope she will get a lead in movie soon because I really do miss her acting.

Thanks for all the mag scans everyone! I was looking at old photos of her on TC and its amazing how much she has changed.

I actually don't mind that Gillian isn't filming at this moment. She's currently rehearsing for her stage play and I think that it's good that she's spending so much time rehearsing for it. With more time to practice, then there will be less flaws during her actual performance. And by giving a good performance, people will start noticing her even more based on how well she performed and not by the scandal. I'd much rather have her give a good performance and film no movies at this moment than film movies and give a not so great performance. Also, Mani had stated in one of the news that Gillian has 4 to 5 movie offers right now and they are in discussion of choosing the right one. So I think that after the play and the album that Gillian will probably start filming again.

And another thing, this movie that she's guest starring in has A LOT of guest stars, it's just one of those movies that has that and I think it's already good that she's even in one because it also shows to people that she is still "wanted" by movie producers/directors. A lot of actors/actresses are guest starring in this film, yet that doesn't mean that they have degraded down to guest star status.

The director of the movie that she guest starred in is the same director as Fantastic Water Babes. Jeff Lau. He is famous for directing classic comedy movies back in the days when Stephen Chow was rising up as a comedy actor.

I think Jeff Lau likes Gillian and wants her to be in his movies however the movie investors are not so sure about it because something in China's movie rating system is stopping the sex scandal involved artists' movies to come out.

That is probably why we haven't been able to see Fantastic Water Babes yet.

But as long as Gillian keeps working like she does now, one day she will gain the things that she deserved.

Stage play on the other hand is a HUGE challenge for her. I think that is the most critical project for her this year. I hope she does good in it and does not multitasking too much while rehearsing like she had been doing for the past 7 years. I've always thought multitasking for artists is bad. I mean it's good to see their faces everyday and everywhere but for a long term what do they gain? They have been so busy, too busy to learn and experience things. They know a little bit of this and that and that's all.

It's not the quantity that matters. It's the quality.

Gillian has A LOT of potential in acting she just needs to find a way to discover it, polish it, and use it. I think she's moving on the right track. Time will tell.

I guess I was a little excited about the concert and upcoming album that I was wishing they would confirm she will take lead in movie soon. Ootorirei, Let me start by Welcoming you to the thread. I thought the whole issue with Gillian working in the mainland was solved. For the last few months, every event she took part in was mainly in China. Hopefully this won't be issue for long because its really getting old. I doubt Gillian will take any role that will have a negative effect on the youth of China. Besides, she has a lot of fans who support her over there.

As for TFWB, I think it's not gona release till her appearance in HK is stable...like as many people said, she's more accepted in China right now than HK... I think EEG and Mani are slowly bringing back Gill into the industry, but because they are still somewhat iffy about how the public will react they don't want to make a too big of a advancement yet. It is still her first year back since the scandal, so I hope in time, we will see more of Gillian! But as for her musical, even she said she needs to be very focused- she turned down several job opportunities so she can remain focused from now till te end of the musical's run.

I understand why EEG is being careful about promoting Gillian in hk. Actually, I don't really care whether Gillian is working in the mainland or hk. I know a lot of fans would prefer she stay in hk but I feel as long as shes working I'm ok with whatever EEG has planned for her. Next week is the concert and main thing is to the show the audience that shes been working really hard to improve herself. I wish can be there to show my support but its not the right time me. Apparently, I don't think there's going to be a recording of the musical. It's not going to be on DVD. Just like Charlene's musical. That's why there's going to be 6 shows for fans to go and see.

EEG is Gillian's company for everything. They find movies for her, they help her record albums and they find ads for Gillian to sponsor, basically it's for everything. Lol, hope this helps!

and as for gillian's contract with eeg yes she signed all her management, publishing of music, publishing of movie/drama serie all in one. and the contract length is LONG. that's the trait of eeg artists is that most of them signed long contracts. the ones who can't stand it will go off, like isabella leung, but that's a special case because isabella met someone powerful enough to stand against eeg.

Anyway, yeah.. I don't think Gillian will get tired like Isabella simply because EEG/Mani seems to be treating Gillian well and bringing her back out and supporting her unconditionally. EEG seems like a good company to them despite all the triad rumors!

eeg is like every other company out there but i wouldn't say it's the best.
however as for gillian's job choices since her comeback, i do have to give credits to them. so far so good!

A few days ago there were reports that said the news of Gillian Chung's secret guest appearance in new film (越光寶盒) leaked. The Production Company for the movie was worried that Ah Gil's exposure would affect the film approval problems, therefore they cold-heartly decided to cut out all of Gillian's parts. the news of gillian's appearance being deleted has not confirmed yet. the press always like to make a big deal out of everything gillian's involved in.

it's two different things why the director wanted her to be in the movie and why china's movie rating system won't allow it. gillian is a good actress so the director wanted her to be in their movies. the director will have to get the agreement from the movie investers first. in this case i dunno who the investers are so i can't judge at this point but the fact that they allow gillian to be in it must mean that they wanted gillian in their movies.

china's movie rating system on the other hand has its own unspoken rules so i think eeg and the production company wants to try out the system and see if they could go through.

of course, if not, there is always HK. why, gillian's stage play is being held in HK for god's sake.
hk movies aren't making money as they were back in the 90's so china's audience is needed at this market n economy. but remember gillian's last movie "Trivial Matters" was only shown in hk's movie theaters. it was a small production but i remember gillian received some good reviews in it.

eeg is the invester of TFWB so i'm sure they want big money out of it. so they wanted it to be able to make it to china's theaters. that's why they waited and waited.

as for bathing suits i find no problem with bathing suits. i see no reason limiting her roles, appearances and images now. she should be freed from it. (remember, the reason why she is being bashed the most is because her image was too limited. too much restrictions.)
and the kind that she wore in the movie were the kind that people wear in professional contests so it was nothing 'inappropriate' (for some ppl) anyway.

That's probably why they gave her a smaller role so they can delete if necessary. I'm starting to think maybe she should try her luck in the mainland because hk is full of BS. This is one of the reasons why I would prefer she not take any small roles. Hopefully this doesn't bring her spirit down because she has so much to look forward to and her fans will be there to support regardless.

I bet the haters are having a field day with this one I'm going to focus on something positive which is her concert next week.

I don't see the problem for Gillian to guest star in a movie since she lonly have like a few minutes in the movie. Also Gillian look great as Sun Shang Xiang. in that pic and hope her scene doesn;t get deleted. Why can China act a little more mature?. And its great to hear Gillian is going to release a solo album and hope its a successful one for her come back to the music industry.

Anyway, about the ticket sales, the play first started with (from what I remember) three days, with three shows. And then a few weeks after tickets were up for sale, they added a further day (30th August) and increased the total number of shows to six. If the ticket sales were really doing as badly as the article says, why would they increase the number of shows? to throw away money?

Also, HK fans have said that tickets were selling pretty quickly and it seems like its getting more difficult to buy tickets now.

Lastly, the original article is from the Next magazine, who are known to constantly pick on Gillian. Tom.com just provided a sort of summary of the article.

So I guess whether or not you believe it is up to you to decide.

I'm so happy that Gillian is releasing an album though! I just hope they don't rush it because it's really important that this album is good quality. It's good to see a lot of people in HK forums interested in what is rumoured to be her new song though!

and this new photo from july 23 you can see at the top is saying (it's still 3 days, 3 shows in total i believe ... ) that tickets are 3 for $100 ... ?

That's really sucks that her scenes might get deleted from that movie. I think that the Hong Kong Film industry has always been really different from mainland and perhaps deleting her scenes to get better sales and enter the mainland market is a little extreme since its just a guest appearance.

I am a bit bummed that Twins may disband, but I hope Gillian can have more duets, asides from her solo work, since the duets that she has done, like with Kenny have been really sweet.


'Cathy, I think you have a good point, I didn't see it that way when I first read the article, but it makes a lot of sense that with the increase in show times, people might be waiting to the last minute to buy since they know there are more tickets available now. And also I sometimes forget that the media tends to be biased, depending on the source. That make me happy thinking that maybe low tickets sales may not be the actual case.

People think the news came from tom.com, so they think it's something they can trust. But tom.com just took everyhing from the magazine. Anyway, now that the article is out, I guess even if every seat was filled up on every night of the shows, haters will just say that EEG bought the seats or something. I just hope that the show and Gillian's performance will receive good reviews from critics.

So I've read all the articles that are online about Gill's scene's being deleted and how her musical can't sell tickets. That's just a lot of b*llsh*t. I mean come on people. Gillian may have a bad image, but she does deserve a second chance. She was well liked before the scanddal and now that so many people support her, don't make it any harder for her as it already is. People need to understand that after a scandal like this one, it takes alot of bravery and courage to make a comeback, withstanding all the remarks and criticism of the public. Her company wouldn't have brought ehr back if they saw no opportunity to profit form Gillian, so people need to just calm down and forget about it already. Poor Gill, right before her musical premieres all this stupid news surfaces.

Hello Cathy, The whole tom.com article had me going in circles. It was very confusing and it also look very fake. It looks more of a personal opinion than a news article but after reading your post I can clearly see why it doesn't make any sense. I mean, why would EEG add another day if sales was so low? And I don't believe that BS about EEG making it look like the tickets are selling well but actually not. Only haters would think that crap Why waste their money on something that is not selling well?

Until EEG confirm that Gillian has been removed from the movie, I'm going keep my fingers crossed and hope they give her a chance. Gillian could of been doing something more important instead of filming a scene that would eventually get deleted out. HK really needs to grow up!!

It's just that people will use the fact that she had those types of photos seen to all public and then probably start talking about how she's showing herself or w/e just any negative comments that will work on her. Like parents, omfg, I can so imagine them going like "omgd why are they showing movies where she's not fully dressed...such bad influence..." (But yes, you are right in the fact where the suits aren't even that revealing, but what I am trying to say is the fact that people will use different light to look at her just because of the scandal)

AND people have been even deleting scenes of her where she has like SMALLLLL roles, so obviously they aren't going to release a WHOLE movie.

Like we can all see, there ARE people that like to find negative stuff to talk about even if it's not even a big deal. ==" That's why I THINK that the company won't release this movie....and plus, she hasn't been well accepted in HK yet either.

I don't care when they release it, if they want to release it in 2 years or whatnot, I'm okay with that. Just as long as they still do. I'm sure they know when's a good time to release her movie. I just hope they don't CANCEL the movie altogether.......

As for sally, I'd have to agree, I hardly see any positive comments...so you can't really blame people for suspecting if you even like her or not.

Gillian still has quite a fanbase...so I think there will be support there. I'm sure even if the sale aren't doing well, they are doing OKAY. Plus, it's not only her in it anyway! I'm sure there are other supporters for the other actors as well! No need to worry~ Plus, I don't think the news is THAAT official anyway, if it was really doing THAT bad, they'd make headlines about it and saying how it's all her fault =="
