Really happy that Gillian's play was successful
Can't wait for Gillian's album to come out, hopefully the songs would be different and good!

*Gillian's new song got plugged, it's #20 on the Metro Music Charts and competing against Charlene's song which is also on the chart. I'm surprised that EEG is plugging both of their songs @ the same time!

Just to clear up the issue of Gillian being 'banned' in mainland China

This is not, and never was the case. On the contrary. Mainland China has always embraced Gillian with open arms. In fact, the very genesis of her comeback started in the mainland.

What some people (haters) are probably referring to is the BEHIND THE STORY interview which was and is delayed 'indefinitely'. Back in mid-April, SARFT (the state administration of radio, film and television) decided to crack down on media outlets who were using gossip and scandals as their main marketing tool. This was being done in an effort to 'clean up the media and society'. In thus doing, Gillian's interview became one of it's first victims. However, this crackdown applied to all celebreties, not just Gillian.

On the surface, it appears Gillian paid a price. But this was not done to hurt Gillian. Rather it was done to PROTECT celebrities such as GILLIAN (who is highly regarded as one of their prized angels) from an unscrupulous and vicious media.

One can only hope that when the mainland's 'hands off HK' policy expires, they will broaden their scope and do a little housekeeping down south.

i think she's also probably busy preparing for filming her new movie.

Wow! the more I hear about the recording of the album the more excited I get. Gillian always recorded good solo songs in the past especially beautiful ballads so I'm not worried about whether or not people are going to like it. I'm kind of shocked at how well "living aboard" is doing considering there were no performances on it at all. Anyways, I hope she releasing her plug either this month or next.

Twinspirit, so the "banned" issue is based on the interview she did a few months ago. I was thinking it was something recent. Thanks for clearing that up.

I think it's been confirmed that Gillian won't be taking up the "Madam White Snake" role. A spokesperson from the production crew said they did approach EEG with the script, but they turned it down because it won't fit into Gillian's schedule...

Wow! how quiet it is in here today. I been reading many of the post at Baidu and most of it is about her album. Many fans are trying find ways to buy her album in hk when its released. The fans in the mainland are so supportive and loyal that it really heartwarming. I spent like an hour going over some her fans messages and made me realize that even if she is "banned" it won't stay like that "FOREVER". So now I'm going focus on what is ahead and other things she wants to try out before Twins regroup. I'm sure she will have many surprises for us like she always does. I have faith that EEG is taking good care of Gillian even though I have my issues with the way they handles things

She had to been the cutest thing at the event. She looks like the youngest person there and she always have this little smile that make you say "OMG, she so cute". Its good she was invited to a event like this. It stands for such a good cause for kids who sadly suffered through this abuse. More people are taking her more seriously and respecting her more which is a great thing. Look forward to seeing her more events. I hope she don't disappear too long.

Also, tough Jeans had strong sales for the winter collection. I have a feeling we be seeing more tough Jeans ads from Gillian. Great Job Gillian! Keep up the good work!

^ thanks for sharing! its happy to know that gillian's song is doing quite well on the music charts without any promotion or MVs or anythingg. and it still finds a way to climb up on the chart! hopefully it can reach number one! i wish they could at least film a MV for the song and maybe it'll make it onto the TVB JSG chart!

Its so funny how well the song is doing despite the lack of promotion. This is how I know the album will do well also. To be honest the song is nice but its not a song I would constantly listen to. I mean, it fits the theme for the play perfectly and lyrics are well written but the melody really doesn't catch my attention. That's why its a shock to see the song being listed on so many charts and doing well also. Maybe Gillian did a better job at redeeming herself in Hong kong. Sure there will still be haters but I believe the supportive fans override the haters.

The chart is the result from the voting by members on my903.com..newly plugged songs are up for voting for four weeks and registered members can give a score of up to five stars for each song..it's not 903's official chart.. but I really don't think "Living Abroad" is the main plug of her upcoming album (or EP)...there was next to no promotion for the song and she just talked about the song along side her promotions for the stage play..I'm actually quite surprised it's made it onto one of the four station charts (Metro)

Wow! She wants to publish a book. She will definitely have a lot to say. Her life has been tough road filled with obstacles and mistakes. This will give the people a chance to hear her story and learn what type of person she truly is. I really hope its true. It would be a great experience for her.

I just the read the news coverage on the event and Gillian said they're in the process of trying to collect enough photos for the book. She didn't give any time period of when the book might be released. Yup, Another project to look forward too. Lets hope it doesn't change.

I'm glad she attending more events in Hong Kong because everything was in the mainland for the first part of the year. I wish she had a schedule that outlines her upcoming events then we would know to what expect. I guess everything is last minute with Gillian.

The book probably be filled with both old and new photos. I'm thinking she going talk about her life and what each photo means to her. I think its the best way for people to understand and see her in a different way instead of everything being focused on the scandal. Hey Jazz, I wish I can help you out with the translation of this clip but I'm in the same boat your in. All I can see that its centered around the play rehearsals at the beginning of August. I enjoyed the clip even though I didn't understand a word that was said Gillian had a great time doing this play and from interviews she has done recently I have a feeling we will see her in another play after her promotions for the album. Which I wouldn't mind because the more plays she does the more experience has. I love shes trying new things such as plays, books and releasing new songs. This way she will have something to bring back when Twins regroup.

I was just reading about her concert in Vegas and OMG I wish can go. It kind of hard to miss work with all the stuff that is going on in America. The most I can wish for is many clips and photos. I hope she has great time also.

I just read news on Gillian and she said she wants to release a book. And she said it's basically about life? And she's not necessarily the author and she wants to just release photos on it or something? And she's still gathering photos. I'm not surprised she is not writing the book. I mean, many celebrities don't write their own books especially in America. They just provide the photos and information but knowing Gillian she will input some work into the book. Either way its something new to look forward to.

It so boring for the last couple days ther is no new photo of gillian or news on gillian next event and project. This threat had been slow let get this threat moving and go to part 7.

I am so happy to heard that gillian will release a book, I will buy the book when it come out, I think the book will interesting because is about Gillian's life. i hope there will be new photo of gillian soon, and she will attend more event in the fulture so we don't get bore like right now.

Gillian's song jumped 9 spots on the Metro Music Charts!

Amazing! That is wonderful news. I visit Coolman forum sometimes and the fans over there mentioned they love the remix radio version better. Which explains why the song is doing the so well on the charts. Yup, I like the remix version better also because they up the beat little bit.

Its interesting they use a Japanese melody for the song. I'm huge Jpop fan so if they sample more things from them then I'm definitely looking forward to this album. I wonder what type of music they going for? I hope its little of both Rnb or pop.

Hopefully she will climb her way into the top 5! Keep up Gillian!

Joey has been asked about Gillian quite a lot during her promotions for her new album in Mainland China recently..but every time she's showed just how much she supports her the news about Joey participating in Gillian's album is so exciting! At the moment, some fans seem to think that it could either be a duet or Joey could be singing the backing...hopefully it's a duet!

Thanks Cathy! Joey is a huge supporter of Gillian. Its great she has someone like that in her corner. I would love to hear a duet between the two ladies. I just read some news over at Charlene's thread and Charlene supposily stated that Twins will be back for their 10th year anniversary in 2011. They will also be sporting a more mature style and they will have concerts?
