Words of revelation to admit love relationship with Juno Mak on a talk show were taken back when Gillian Chung's manager called for a retake.
Mani Fok, Chung's manager, admitted to have assumed the role of a lawyer at the recording. On the TV broadcast of the interview "Be My Guest", Chung merely said that Mak and her are "good friends" and does not deny the possibility of further developing the friendship.
After the interview, when Mak was asked about Chung's interview, he said, "I did not watch that part. I do not know what she said during the interview." Chung also denied that Stephan Chan, host of the talk show, asked about her relationship with Mak.
When Chung was asked if Mak is willing to take care of her for a lifetime, she smiled and denied but revealed that he sent an encouraging SMS to support her comeback. When asked if she will accept Mak as a boyfriend, she said, "This year is especially important to me, I need to work hard."
On the other hand, Mak said that though he was in Japan, he has been keeping in touch with Chung and praised her bravery after watching the interview.
