Jennifer Hudson may perform at Barack Obama's Inauguration, a source confirms to Usmagazine.com.
The performance would be her first since her mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew were brutally murdered in Chicago last October.
"Organizers want Jennifer to sing 'The Star-Spangled Banner' at the Inauguration on January 20," a source tells the New York Post, which first reported the news.
"They are talking to Jennifer about it," the source adds. "She is from Chicago and a huge Obama supporter."
Hudson sang the national anthem at the Democratic National Convention in Denver last August.
Her rep didn't return calls to the Post.
Hudson is also expected to hit the stage at Musicares' Person of the Year gala on Feb. 6.
