So what is 「 AF Golden Globes 」 to begin with?

Every year, AsianFanatics hosts the AF Golden Globes where members get together and vote for their favourite artists, dramas, variety show (hosts), songs, albums etc of the year.

2008 was an extremely memorable year for the Asian (China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea & Taiwan) entertainment industry. With new artists rolling out every now and then, albums topping charts, songs repeating on fans' playlists and dramas achieving high ratings, we are confident to say that 2008 has been one of the most successful years in the Asian entertainment industry since the start of 21st century.

With that said, we now bring you the chance to have your say and vote for your favourite(s) in all categories. What's even better this year is that you can vote for as many nominees as you like, meaning you can vote for your FAVOURITE nominee(s) and the BEST nominee(s) at the same time.

Now after you have learnt about 「 AF Golden Globes 」, head straight over to our AF Golden Globes 2008 subforum and vote for the most worthy contenders!

Remember that this year round, you can vote for MULTIPLE nominees instead of just one
So if you're really torn between multiple nominees that you find equally deserving of the title, don't stress yourself out over who you should be voting for. Just vote for all of them:D

lol did you just say that to have a punchy introduction? i didnt think 2008 was especially good in terms of asian entertainment but then i might just be out of touch... hehe gotta see what you guys have for us...

oh btw can you guys sort the polls out like clumping the polls for each country together? well basically just what you guys did last time around... cos i dont follow most of the stuff eg CN, KR... well just for easier browsing

allthingsazn: fran said that none of the people who worked on the Golden Globes felt like they knew enough about Korean Entertainment to present a complete and comprehensive list to vote on. So maybe next year we can help!

I really hope I can help out with everything next year! I know it was a lot of hard work, but I think it has definitely paid off! Hopefully I can help out with a Korean Entertainment section for next year! We'll have to see!

Well, I don't have an official reply for you, but I assume it's the same reason why there isn't a Korean Entertainment section. They didn't have enough people involved in the planning of the awards for them to add the section.

Not to mention that there isn't even a Philppeans Series section on the forum, it's "Other Asian Entertainment." So even if there were Filipino series nominated it would be under that generic category.
