Tavia is better! But Linda is becoming better and better.. Linda has more experience in leading roles while Tavia is always the supporting actress.

I think Tavia act better. i can't wait to see her character and Charmaine's character in "Beyond the Realm of Conscience".

I think tavia's acting is better, but I like Linda more.

i'm so happy that most of you support tavia... just can't compare because they are different from their background.
Tavia is graduated from the TVB acting class, since years 2000 until today she had palying alot of different roles in different storey line.

Tavia is so much better than Linda hands down. Linda can't even act properly. She carries herself the same way every series she's in.

LINDA CHUNG CAN SO ACT AND LINDA IS LIKE MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN TAVIA. EVEN THOUGH I LIKE TAVIA, BUT LINDA IS MUCH BETTER.

Definitely Tavia. Overall, Tavia has shown more variety of personalities in all the series she's been in. She can be very natural for serious series, and can be funny in those comedy ones. Her crying is less dramatic and less exaggerrated than Lindas. I could see all the different way she acts in Twins of Brothers, Father and Son, HOGII etc.

I find Linda too forceful, espcially when she has to act like a bad girl (and also in ancient dramas)

linda is a better actor to me her acting just makes it more realistic she just came out a couple months ago and she is pretty good

yeah i'd vote for tavia too..i've seen her act in lotsa dramas n her acting skills has really improved a lot..as for linda,she still has a long way to go but she's improving too!^^

In terms of experience and quality, it would be Tavia of course! But Linda's acting is improving and i like her xD. I like both Tavia & Linda .

i think tavia is better. shes really good in her crying scenes while linda seems a little wooden.

first of all, i LOVE both of them. but i really need to choose one, i'll go for tavia coz she has a more stable acting and somehow i THINK she could easily relate the character to the audience(not just based on MR, but sweetness in the salt as well as i have finished the whole serie since msia got it aired early of the year). as for linda, i love her singing(not up tempo ones tho) and her acting of course is getting better. but still, even in GOL, i still feel her awkwardness in potraying elise and some of her acting is not so convincing(or at least to me).

but perhaps in time, both would be the leading ones in TVB replacing the rest in years to come. would love to see the two of them around.

It's hard to compare their acting because they have different experiences. Tavia has been in the industry for years compared to Linda. Of course with more experience, you're better at acting though sometimes it's not. Still, Tavia is a better actress. Her face expressions are fitting in her series. She knows when to stop crying. Her emotions portrayed are wonderful. As for Linda, I don't know if she's even good at acting. All I ever see is her crying. The way she cries is so painful, I guess it's good since it looks so sad... Like Tavia, Linda can improve her acting. Maybe I'm a bit biased but I like how Tavia entered the industry. She climbed from the bottom to the top by entering the Acting Class, choosing the hard way. Linda entered by competing in the MCI. You are more preferred, it seems, if you were a contestant of the MCI Pageant. However, Tavia worked hard to get her status as a fa dan so she's a much better actress. Linda get promoted more though I don't understand why. Her acting isn't very convincing. I'm looking forward to her improvements. Maybe, in time, she will be an amazing actress through her hard work and effort.

too be honest im not a fan of both. but i do watch their series. I think Tavia is a better actress.. maybe she has been in the industry longer or whatever she is better.
I think linda is improving.. maybe a couple years from now she will be doing better than now

I like Tavia acts better but I also like Linda.
Tavia has more experience since she's been in the entertainment industry for a longer time so she's more experienced but Linda's not that bad. I think that she's making progress.

I love both, but again like everyone else said Tavia's acting skill is better than Linda. I feel that Linda is getting "too" over-promoted. look at her acting in MR omg I want to like kill her. all she does is cry cry cry cry cry!!! anyway still love her but she need to improve or else. hihihii

Tavia is better because she has more experience but Linda has become better in her acting in a short period of time. If TVB didn't use Linda in every series, I think I'll enjoy watching her more but Tavia is such a natural that I don't get bored watching her.

Definately Tavia. Tavia can really get into the role and has more experience than Linda.
I've not seen any series where Linda has gotten me believing she is the character that shes playing. I think she just needs more time to fully concentrate on acting, maybe a couple more years

i like both actresses, but i think tavia is better...she does have more experience and she did grad from the acting school from tvb or wtv....
linda isnt bad when u compare with ppl from similar background...like bernice, i think linda is a lot better than bernice (no offence bernice fans)...

Sorry but I think Tavia's acting is better...by so much... (IMHO) she has layers to her acting and her experience and maturity really shows. I don't know I just find her acting has more depth to it. But I think that's definatley expirence. Like in Moonlight Resonance they both had crying scenes but the scenes that got me emotional were Tavia's crying scenes, it seemed so much more real and heart wrentching like it wasn't the character she was portraying that was crying but her personally, that it was really Tavia not Ah Yeut that was hurting. I don't know if that makes sense

As the obvious. Tavia is the better actress. Even looking back to when she first started her career, her acting was not bad. Linda is cute but I find her acting and emotions displayed to be very stiff and wooden. None of her performances has stood out to me.

I get what you mean but she had to portray the characters like that because that's who they are supposed to be. I don't think you can compare their acting based on a type of character they portrayed. True, Linda may have portrayed two completely different characters with opposite characteristics but it seems like every actor and actress can do that. For example, Nancy was the badass in Twin of Brothers and Chamber of Sorrows but in DIE 2 she had a good and cute character. Tavia played an annoying but good character in The W Files but she also pulled off the innocent character in Find the Light. So, you can't judge a person's acting based on their characters. heh, I'm not trying to pick on you or anything

I guess my answer is Tavia. She can definitely act better than Linda. Linda may hog the looks and popularity but she's not at Tavia's level yet.

I'm not a fan of either one and I don't dislike either of them either, so looking at it from a purely neutral standpoint, I would have to vote for Tavia. I agree with some of the earlier posts that Tavia has more experience and more "layers" in her acting because she came out of the acting class, whereas Linda had no prior experience coming out of the beauty pageant.

I've seen both HOG and MR, which had both of them in it, and just looking at their performances in those 2 series, you can already see the difference. To be honest, I didn't like Linda's characters in either series, as I really felt that there was way too much crying (in HOG, I think there was only 1 episode out of 40 where she DIDN'T cry -- that's a bit over the top if you ask me)....in terms of Tavia's character, it was "just right" in my opinion -- not over the top in terms of the crying scenes but rather there was just enough emotion to make the audience really feel for her (though I liked her character in MR better than the one in HOG).

I also feel that you really can't compare the two because they are at different levels in terms of experience and acting, but I will say that both Tavia and Linda have definitely improved from when they first started.

I like both actresses but if I had to choose one, I'd say Tavia's acting is better. She has more experience and her acting is more natural.

Both of them are not my favour but I had to choose Tavia, linda is too far from the acting's standard. I don't think she is qualify to be compare to Tavia. Tavia should be compare with Myolie. Sorry it's just IMO
