There are a lot of separate posts that sort of get into this topic but there isn't. Or they are talking specifically one person.

I'm looking for artists from different languages who are overrated and underrated. And regardless where you put them under, they have to be TALENTED. So no one say Fahrenheit XD!

Mr. - a hk rock band. Lead singer has a good voice, their music is good, and I like their guitar solos. But there's not even a wikipedia article on them lol. Nothing exists before Wiki...

Overrated
80s/90s HK singers (like Andy Lau), yea, they can sing, they were great performers, I get it but they are not the epitome of Cantonese singers. GET OVER IT!

UNDERRATED:

Evan Yo (Cai Min You) from Taiwan. A 22-year old young talent still doing his studies (senior year) in Taiwan's most prestigous Music College majoring in Violin. Before singing, he was teaching violin. He also excels in the piano, guitar and drums.

He has released 2 albums so far. Hits from his 1st album includes 我可以 (Wo Ke Yi), 翻不完的夏天 (Endless Summer), 我想要說 (I Want to Say), Can You Hear Me.

Not only talented in musical instruments and singing, he's also cute! He's got a nice smile omg he has perfect pitch!!

-(Kim) Ji Eun from "YG family" in Korea had a great album. She disappeared after her first album.
-"Triple Effect"'s mini album that was released last year in korea... but I haven't heard much about them.
- KELUN (Japanese Jrock) - i like them. dont' know if they're popular or not. I really like the lead's voice.
-Will Liu (taiwan) - like his music don't know if he's popular
- Van Fan (taiwan) - like his music don't know if he's popular


As much as I like DBSK... they do sing well but their popularity is insane
KAT-TUN - another one of my fav. bands are a bit overrated in terms of popularity.

Overrated
-Jay Chou- Okay, no one kill me. He's definitely talented in the composing department, but his voice really isn't that good. So I don't know why he has SO many fans.
-DBSK- Omg, PLEASE don't kill me. I love DBSK, but still, they're a little overrated.

Underrated
-Tank- Great voice & songs. Promoted? Never. Hate HIM.
-Everyone from Xing Guang Bang. Awesome voices. Never promoted. HATE HIM!
-Evan Yo- Same reason as I said for Tank.
-Xiao Yu- He's like the best newcomer I've seen in a long time in Taiwan. His voice is heavenly.
-J-Lim- She gets no promotion whatsoever in Korea. And to think she's under JYP, which is a huge company. Her voice is so amazing.

Under rated:
TANK- good music, good voice...but ever since Hana Kimi ended, I don't know what happened to TANK. Like..no promotions from his company or anything! He could be dead for all we know. lol jk

Over rated:
DBSK: sadly...I love them but they're definitely over rated. And that really sucks for them because their overrated-ness makes them seem just like an idol band when they're so much more than that.

Under rated- Zhang Li Yin ( Jang Ri In) I lover her voice and her songs too bad SM don't pay much attention to her. She been Hiatus for a looong time. Like i`ve only seen her once in a while in china =/.



Over rated- I gotta say DBSK. I`m a huge fan of them but sometimes i find their popularity a bit too much and the fans == make them look bad.

Haha, Jay Chou?
I actually thought he was once WAY overrated as well.
But then he IS talented, no doubt about that.
In many areas as well.
I agree, his voice isn't the best but a lot of people like it cos it's different and he puts a lot of emotion when singing.
And he's a good rapper~
I also like him because he's versatile with his songs.
Other singer/song writers tend to compose the same genre of songs,
but Jay does things like RnB, jazz, rock, hip hop, and even country.
PLUS! He's also been a director and lyricist.

Yeah, DBSK is overrated haha~ But they're the only korean boyband i don't mind.

UNDERRATED:
1. Fan Wei Qi (Fan Fan) composes lyrics. I really like her song Black and White, it's a song written for her boyfriend, Hei Ren (Taiwanese host). Fan Fan does more hosting now than singing.. She's really pretty:)

2. Penny Dai Pei Ni. The girl who sang Ni Yao De Ai, one of the biggest hits during Meteor Garden times. This girl can really sing, plays the guitar well and composes her own songs not sure if she writes songs for other people). She's a Malaysian.

I think this 2 kinda belongs to the same category, not really very promoted by the media and company, nonetheless they're still talented.

Underrated

Zhang Li Yin - She's not being well-promoted like DBSK, Super Junior, SNSD whatsoever. Her voice is nice.

Tank - He's talented. I love hiss voice AND his songs. He should b promoted more. I've long since heard from him.

Overrated

DBSK - It's undeniable that they have great voice and can compose good songs. However, their popularity is a little crazy. o.o I mean, they deserve to have the popularity, definitelly, but ya, their popularity is insane.

Under-rated.

- CSJH The Grace
like omg, this girls are just MADDDD talented, they are like the female version of DBSK. powerful vocals and they dance really well too, better than any korean girl groups(WG&snsd). Yet their popularity is no where close to WG or SNSD. SM Ent is not promoting much of them in Korea at all, since they are in Japan at the moment promoting their album. Talents shouldn't be hidden!

I second CSJH The Grace as underrated! They're arguably the best female group vocalists out there but they're not getting their due. I love WG and some of the other groups too but they can't hold a candle singing-wise to CSJH. Now if it were only about singing...

Underrated:

Kaira Gong Shijia. She was with FRH and SHE's company for while but not anymore. She has a pretty strong voice, despite the fact that she looks fragile. She sang the ending theme to Reaching For the Stars (SHE's drama) and I think she sounds a bit like Jade Liu Liyang.

Joi Chua. She's from Singapore and has this really good voice. She does a lot of covers but she doesn't make them sound bad like a lot of HK/TW singers do. Her voice is kind of like Valen Hsu's - very soothing.

I second Evan Yo. He turned Jay Chou's Nunchunks into a love ballad on 100% Entertainment and it was way, way better than when Jay did it at his concert. Evan made up the melody on the spot and it was perfect!

Joanna Wang. The Taiwanese Norah Jones. She doesn't have the attention she deserves. She can compose songs, write lyrics, and sing flawlessly. She's only 20, I think but she gives off the aura of an older woman.

Overrated:

DBSK and SUJU. Yes, I know they're hot, they can dance and sing better than most boy groups, but they are only humans. Fans make it seem like they're saints. It gets to me sometimes.

Under-rated:

SG Wannabe: They are one of the few Korean groups I like. I never really listened much to Korean songs, neither do I proclaim myself as a fan of any groups or singers..but Sg wannabe's one of the first few that got me to appreciate Korean music I was surprised that they are not as popular as the other groups in Korea.

Over-rated:

Rain: I think the reason's quite obvious But eh.. I used to hate him to the core.. but now I'm moving onto the neutral side. However.. I still find him over-rated.

DBSK: I'm not a fan.. but I do listen to some of their songs.. I think overall, they are really good but like what other users said..... their popularity's INSANE.

i think TANK is way underrated ! i love his songs and he's got a really good voice , idk why they dont promote him more .

I think William Chan is overrated. He was promoted way too much and to me his singing ability is still questionable. I know he won the new talent competition and was a part of Sunboyz but in 2008 his singing didn't stand out to me. All his songs were dancing songs with very limited lyrics and the limited lyrics kept repeating like Taxi. Taxi was probably his most popular 2008 song but when I listen to it it's just boring not seeing him dance. I think he needs to prove his singing ability with more meaning songs that don't have huge gaps in them where I hear no vocals.

I think Miriam Yeung is underrated. I know she has won many awards in her carrer but still. Her singing is always good but she gets promoted so little. I can't believe how song award ceremonies didn't even give her a single award in some years. In my opinion she has been on the same level as Joey Yung but surprisingly Chik Chak doesn't even see it that way. I can't even remember the last time she was in the top 3 female singers, but then again I guess that is partly do to the fans. Every year she has a couple of good songs but people just don't support her. I am glad that this in January she picked up a top 10 song from every award ceremony and that TVB gave her most popular female singer.

Overrated:
DBSK: in terms of popularity.

Underrated:
DBSK: in terms of talents.
CSJH: They need to be promoted more.

boa- i saw a video of her singing a mariah carey song and she completely butchered it.
andy lau- he's an okay singer. nothing special.

over-rated: top of my head is BoA. She can dance but voice wise. very avg. She trained that much to get a lil above avg.

Take - Korean boyband sang in The Person I Love OST

Underrated: GiGi Leung. One of the few idols HK idols who can write music and she writes fantastic songs. Check out her latest, "Gift". She just sings honestly, movingly, and without pretense.

Overrated: Not really anyone is vastly overrated, but comparing Eason Chan to Jacky Cheung is a bit of overkill. Eason's a great singer, but noone can touch Jacky.

underrated: gary cao, david tao, tank (these three are three of the best chinese singer-songwriter currently, IMO, but didn't get enough recognition)

overrated: jay chou, andy lau, fahrenheit, DBSK

Underrated:

1. TANK. HOLY CRAP. he's such an AMAZING singer and songwriter! but honestly he's popularity is seriously NO WHEREEEEE near where i wished he could be! D: and i guess comparing him to Jay Chou when he first came out didn't really help much! *sighs* gosh. i feel so bad that such a talented singer like him isn't getting the fame that he deserves! ;_;

2. CSJH. hehee. i don't know MUCH about them. only reallly found out about them this year because of their duet with DBSK's Jaejoong for "just for one day" and alksfdjal;sfj OH GOSH. TAKE ABOUT being SO UNDERRATED! >:D Gosh. honestly. like what jaevia said above. heck, they are the FEMALE version of DBSK. they SING LIVE + A CAPELLA perfectly. DANCE. and def. have the looks. but apparently they did NOT sell well with the Korean fans. and also, SME just seemed to REFUSEEE to promote the girls in Korea, instead of promoting SNSD nonstop! 8D heck. CSJH can take on all SNSD members anyday! XDDDDD but yeah. THEN SM send them to JAPAN and doesn't PROMOTE them there EITHER! >:D they have been there for a least 2/3 years and doesn't seem to have established any fangroups yet! T_T but i guess it can't be helped since it's just SO HARD for female groups to make it these days, unless they are SINGING all these generic, pop songs which i dislike so much! oh well. they are making their KOREAN comeback in 2010. let's see how they do then.

3. Zhang Li Yin ANOTHER SME UNDERRATED ARTISTS. if you guys heard her sing before. DANG the girl is SO TALENTED. when she first debuted she was dubbed the CHINESE BOA. cause she can HIT ALL THE HIGH NOTES! *_* yeah. she debuted in 2006. was active for MAYBE a few months when she sang Timeless with DBSK's XIAH. now. then after that, never heard from her again! wtf? XD but she's trying to make it into the Chinese market now. so let's ALSO see how she will do there.

OVERRATED.

1. WONDER GIRLS! i suppose i can put them here. since OVERALL, i find that ONLY 3 of the members are GOOD singers. but honestly i STILLLL call them the ONE HIT WONDER! /gets shot. BUT GOSH. i do NOT understand what the HUGE HYPE about them is! XDDDD Yoobin only seem to rap. and MAGNAE! OH GOSH. don't get me started on her! 8D gosh. she can only dance, but i honestly cannot LISTEN to her sing! i just WISHED they trained her LONGER cause honestly she doesn't even SING LIVE for any of their songs since she can't hit the right notes! =/ But i guess the reason why WG is SO DANG popular is BECAUSE JYP seemed to ALWAYS find the GOOD, CATCHY songs to sing. but i believe that if their songs weren't THIS CATCHY and GET STUCK in your HEAD, then honestly WG needs to work a little harder. and now they are DEBUTING in AMERICA?!?! i've never gave my opinion on this. but all i can say is that HWAITING. and i realllly wish them LUCK cause they will NEED LOTS of it to make it in AMERICA! 2. Big Bang. um. i guess i don't know them enough. but i don't understand what's go amazing about them?! D: i've listened to their music before but i feel that their songs always SOUNDS THE SAMEEE! 8D so it never really appeal to me. i guess maybe im NOT into their music style then! XD

XD DBSK is NOT LIKE the other boybands/groups out there today. they are TRUE ARTISTS/MUSICIANS and we, as the fans, just have SO MUCH respect and LOVE for them that we like to go all crazy because they are just SIMPLY TOOOOOOOOO DANG TALENTED & AMAZING! *_* seriously. honestly, we're NOT all blind little fangirls that likes to go around spazzing for no apparent reason. there's SO MANY REASONS why dbsk is the MOST popular artists out there, so what can we say? if a group is INSANELY POPULAR, OF COURSE their fans are going to make them OVERRATED. and does DBSK deserve being THIS OVERRATED?! i'd say, HECK YES. GILLIAN CHUNG is extremely overrated...she can't even hold a stable note and her live performances are horrible.

I totally agree with lavender rain on this. Even though i to me that means they aren't overrated because overrated means they shouldn't be or don't deserve to be that popular. But DBSK totally deserves their success! Yeaaah!
But then, being this popular makes them just seem like other overrated idol singers when they are so much more than that and it makes people blind to their very real talent!

Underrated:

Tank: He disappeared for a long long time but now he's back! (soon) he went off somewhere and we need his amazing voice back! He needs to be promoted more because the world is in need of talent like his, it shouldn't be wasted hidden away in a secret place ( or whereva he went)

Penny Dai: A lot of people have said her and I totally agree, only recently discovered her and she is one amazing girl! I mean, she composed and wrote all her songs, since she was 17, and has such a wonderful voice yet when I went to search her up there was hardly anything!


Overrated:

Fahrenheit: Yeh, I love these boys so so much but its undeniable that their singing is just way below average, even Arron whose voice is the best among them cannot be compared to the good singers out there. Still support them all the way but I think HIM should at least promote all its singers equally and not promote FRH so much more, though I'm still happy with how things are if only their singing was as good as everything else about them...

Jay Chou: Yes, he is way talented but still, people make him seem like some kind of god..

Underrated
Penny Dai - She's really underrated. She's awesome though, she composes, sings REALLY WELL, is a great photographer and all but very few people acknowledges her.

CSJH - I was amazed when I first heard the group because their vocals are just fantastic. These girls really do know how to sing. I really love their powerful vocals, something I don't find in a lot of female singers (they usually go for sugary sweet x.x).

Evan Yo - He's a great singer AND songwriter but very seldom do people pay attention to him.

Wang Leehom - No I am not mad, but he is more known to be an ABC, being handsome, or a singer-songwriter than being an awesome singer who is actually trained in music schools (under MJ's teacher in fact ), or actually has a master degree in music.

Tank - I think it's sad that people pay attention to him only when he sings for some drama OST or duet with someone popular (with Selina for du chang qing ge). He's a good singer and composer, I think he deserves more attention than he is getting.

David Tao - Is it just me or people KNOW him but don't know his music?

Overrated
Jay Chou - He's talented, but I think the best thing he did was to bring something fresh into Mandopop and being a great composer, not open his mouth and sing...or being a god, for that matter.

Rain - I just don't understand.

I'll have to agree with those who mentioned DBSK/TVXQ...DBSK are very talented vocalists there's no doubt about that...but I also think their popularity is "insane", sure they're talented...but I think their fame overall is just too much.

I guess I can understand why the JE groups are mentioned a few times here too...like DBSK, these JE groups are famous & some of them are also talented to top their looks (don't think they're only popular due to their looks, because that's so NOT true!)...but the JE also has its share of antis as well...and naturally there's going to be some ppl who think these JE guys are over-rated.

I personally don't think KAT-TUN are over-rated though (as a whole)...obviously! however, individually though, there are members in the group who I think are over-rated/under-rated. So, this is my analysis on the KAT-TUN members...

Over-rated:

Akanishi Jin - he is the 1 member who comes to my mind first! I like him, but I think he's the most over-rated in the group...he's always highly praised by his fans for having the "best" vocals in the group & being the "best" performer...frankly, I beg to differ to some extent...I actually don't think his vocals are the "best" in the group really. If I was to pick another KT member who I feel can really level with Jin in terms of vocal skills, or even as much as surpassing Jin, then that member is Junno! Junno's voice is strong & crisp, he's able to execute his songs & the group songs well every time & is able to maintain his vocals even as he moves & dances.
Sure Jin has a really good voice...but it's a bit weaker in comparison to Junno's & he sometimes has a bit of trouble holding a note for long...at times, you can even hear the tiredness in his voice. So I don't think he has the "best" vocals in the group...as for performance...well, I agree on that, Jin is really a 'natural' performer, he has this "WOW" factor that can really draw you in. But again, I don't think he's the "best" in the group. I have all their concert dvds & watching so many live performances of all the guys both together & solo, I realized that they're ALL fantastic performers & dancers and they're ALL able to bring their own unique qualities & styles to the stage.
Jin is arguably the most popular member in KT, along with Kame...but I personally feel his own popularity is just too much...like DBSK, I acknowledge Jin's talents & potentials...but still, I feel that the overwhelming amount of his fans over-rate him a bit too much...I don't think he's the "best" in the group.

Kamenashi Kazuya - and ironically, Kame's my 2nd fav in the group...don't get me wrong, I love him a lot...but again, I think he's a bit over-rated...because vocally, I'm slightly irritated that Kame is so much more appreciated for his vocals than Junno is. Although he can still sing well & is able to execute the songs, but Junno's voice is still stronger & better. And so are KOKI & Maru's vocals, they're both fantastic singers too...in terms of singing, I prefer these 3 guys' vocals, than Kame's.

Under-rated:

ALL of KT's other 4 members!

TANAKA KOKI - my ichiban! : In my opinion, he is MAJORLY under-rated both in the group & individually! I mean, he's a tremendous rapper & rap lyricist, great dancer & also a 'natural' performer! He's a fantastic singer too, his vocals are pleasant & often he really feels the music & sings the songs with feeling to compliment the mood of the songs. He sings with personality, raps with personality & he often let his body connect to the music & he starts to move & dance naturally. Along with his bandmates, he's also a versatile singer...the group sings jpop, jrock, ballads, RnB etc...but Koki-kun himself also sings hard rock & even attempted (briefly) at opera! Which, I was very impressed because he was amazingly good at it! KOKI is also a promising actor, obviously better than Jin in that area.
In terms of overall talents & potentials, KOKI definitely ranks up there with Jin! But he doesn't have nearly as many fans as Jin & Kame does. So yes, I definitely think KOKI is under-rated in KT!

Nakamaru Yuichi - what can I say? Maru-kun is a good singer too, really good dancer & performer as well...and his human beatboxing skills, what can I say, outstanding! but like KOKI, he is under-rated, he also doesn't have that many fans compared to Jin & Kame.

Ueda Tatsuya - I used to be quite critical of Ueda's vocals because it's weaker than the others & often when you listen to the studio versions of the group songs, Ueda's vocals just pales in comparison & sounds more like he's whispering. But after listening to his solos & watching his solo performances, I realized that this guy DOES actually have a good voice! Just that his vocals are still a bit weaker than the others, so when the group sings & performs together, the others tend to over-power Ueda's vocals...but in his solos, you can really notice the true potentials & skills of Ueda's vocals. He is also a fantastic pianist & guitarist, and very gifted lyricist.

Taguchi Junnosuke - and finally Junno...like I have mentioned before, his vocals are strong & crisp, perhaps the best vocalist in the group, his voice is un-doubtfully lead vocal material! He is also a fantastic performer.

Overall, as much as I adore KT as a whole...I have to admit that the excessive over-rating of Jin & Kame often irritates me...I still love Kame-chan of course & like Jin, just that I find it annoying when both their fans over-rate them too much.

I think what the problem is with some of the JE groups (particularly KT & NewS) is that...the Jimusho tends to promote particular members from both groups more than the other members, sometimes they promote those certain members a bit too much, they gain so much attention & popularity, that the other members are virtually left in the dark.
This was very much the case in KT...since the very beginning, both Kame & Jin have been promoted & exposed the most & have remained the most popular...and unfortunately, often the group are being judged by others just based on Kame & Jin alone, which is very bias in my opinion. If ppl observe the other 4 members closely, watch their solos, they'll discover the other 4 are talented too, have their own uniqueness & traits also. Some of them are just as talented or perhaps even more talented than Kame & Jin are!

Although I'm glad that KOKI, Maru, Junno & Ueda are all gradually becoming more popular now with more ppl appreciating them & they're slowly getting promoted more by the Jimusho...but I still don't think it's enough really...I believe they should by now have the same kind of popularity or at least be given almost the same amount of credibility & fame that both Kame & Jin have...sadly, that's not the case

Overrated:

Fahrenheit, is by far overrated. They cannot sing. With the exception of (maybe) Aaron,and even then his voice is only average compared to other talented singers. They can't even sing live, or dance.

I actually never paid attention to Junno...so I gave him a try and he does sound pretty decent; however I still like Jin more. it's his solos that I really like (Lovejuice, pinky). I think however that Jin's overrated in terms of acting.
Actually I like Ueda's songs the most out of the group. .. he writes really nice stuff.

over-rated:

i agree about akanishi jin! don't get my wrong, i like him, but man! he is sooooooooooo over-rated! i mean, best singer? hello! i agree that junno definitely sings better! i actually like junno's solos more than jin's...i mean, 'luv juice' & 'pinky' were pretty good, but not gr8 or anything...whereas sum of junno's solos were catchier for me & i luv them even more that junno sings better too...jin's voice is too weak sum times...i mean, sum time u can hear him breathing or takes a break during lines in his voice...junno doesn't do that! how should i put this...junno's voice flows better i guess.
n don't even get me started on jin's acting! as much as i like this guy, i gotta admit that his acting SUX! he's probably the WORST actor in kat-tun! he's like a piece of wood when he acts! xP seriously! all the other kat-tun guys are better than him in acting! especially kame! he's like 100 times better than jin! koki, maru junno...they all act better than jin too! even ueda had more expression in 'konkatsu'! n that was only his 1st recurring acting role! while jin has been acting in a lot more dramas than both ueda & maru, but even they are better than him.
sorry...i like jin overall, but i HATE him as a actor! xP n as for singing, i may like jin more than junno overall...but when it's singing alone, i prefer junno!

yamashita tomohisa - omg! seriously! this is guy is probably the MOST over-rated japanese guy in showbiz! xP i mean, his acting ain't that good, n not his singing either, but this guy is just so famous it's really ridiculous! come on! there's plenty of other je guys out there who sing better & act better than him! n look better too! yeah, yamapi is pretty cute, but that's it! he doesn't look that hot! xP

jay chou - yeah yeah...this guy is a gr8 song writer & good w/ alot of instruments n all that...but his singing SUX! he should just be a songwriter or composer instead! since his only real talent is song writing & playing diff instruments.

other over-rated singers? about 98% of the popular taiwanese idols out there! xP

just "decent"? well, you have your own opinions & preferences of course...for me, Junno's vocals are really good, strong & crisp, better & more consistent than Jin's. I think Junno rightfully deserves to be a lead vocalist in KAT-TUN, his vocal skills are certainly better than Kame's (despite how much I love Kame)...but I guess he probably just doesn't have that "appeal" that Kame does...oh well.

Junno has some fantastic solos which I really like, especially 'Natsu no Basho', that song is just so happy & catchy and really gets you in a good mood, I love those types of songs which just gives you the urge to get up & dance and make you feel good! another solo of Junno's I really like is 'Seishin'; this song isn't really a feel-good type of song, but it's still really catchy & upbeat...and what I also like about this song is that it has a traditional asian vibe to it, with traditional asian music & periodic-style lyrics...and like Angela mentioned, Junno was able to execute these songs really well...even when he was performing these songs live at the concerts and was moving & dancing, he was still able to maintain his vocals all throughout, very impressive!
Junno in my opinion, I think is among the most under-rated in the group & in JE overall! Not only does he have a great voice & possibly the 'best' singer in the group, but I definitely think his vocals are so much better than many other JE guys too! Yet many of the other JE guys are more popular than he is overall, even though he's more talented than them both as a singer & performer, and this really annoys me. I really like Junno, so often it's upsetting to see him not being credited enough it's the same case with KOKI, Ueda & Maru too!

Jin has some nice solos...but the problem I have with his is that they don't really appeal to me personally...sure I would enjoy listening to them about once or twice, but I soon get tired of listening to them & would just forget about them after wards...I have to admit, I tend to watch Jin's solo performances rather half-heartedly...I mainly just watch him move & dance on the stage, because that's what really draws me to him...but I don't really pay much attention to his solos themselves Well...there is 1 solo of his that I still like, and that's 'Care'...I think this song is perhaps his most famous solo...too bad he rarely ever performs this song...it is quite a very old song after all.
The other members all have solos which I can listen to over & over again and not get tired of listening to them. Aside from 'Care', none of Jin's other solos appeal to me...it's just personal preference...I will give props to him for writing some of those solos though.
As for Jin's vocals...yes, he can still sing very well...but I think it's a bit weaker in comparison to Junno's, and less consistent & even a bit "husky" sometimes...although his voice can be described as more "raw" I guess...whereas Junno's vocal is much sharper & more clean-cut.

Another disadvantage I think Jin has with his vocal skills that falls behind Junno, is that, he very likely has a bit of trouble maintaining his voice when he dances. Have you ever noticed that Jin doesn't really dance much when he's singing? But dances well when he's not singing? I suspect it's because he has some troubles maintaining his voice if he was to sing & dance spontaneously.
But if you watch Junno's solo performances, you will notice that often he can still sing & maintain his voice even when he's dancing or doing other kind of performing movements on the stage...a good example are his old 'Seishin' performances which he has to perform all these warrior-like movements, dancing & acrobats etc...they're quite vigorous movements & very tiring...yet Junno's voice still remained consistent all throughout the performance, and yes, all the while he was singing LIVE! This is why I think Junno is a more skilled singer than Jin is, Junno can control his voice very well...while Jin often can't control his voice very much.

I agree with you about Ueda...initially he didn't stand out to me at all...and I really couldn't understand why he has many fans...his vocals didn't appeal to me at first, since like I had mentioned before, it was weak. It wasn't until I started listening to some of his solos that I realized that his singing actually isn't bad & that he DOES still have a voice. Some of his solos were quite nice...but his stand-out solo would definitely have to be 'Ai no Hana'! When I first heard that song, I fell in love with it instantly & that's when I truly opened my eyes to him & when I found out that Ueda had also written & composed that song himself, I was even more impressed with him! That song is just so beautiful, it's pure epic! It's certainly 1 of my fav songs, and he did quite well with the execution of the song too now I definitely appreciate him much more than before, he's now my 4th fav in the group after KOKI, Kame & Maru
I think Ueda is perhaps the 3rd most popular KT member after Kame & Jin...but even so, the gap between him and Kame & Jin is still quite significant in terms of their popularity overall. I think Ueda is musically talented too, so I do feel that he's still quite under-rated.

tank could easily be the most underrated singer i know. the guy deserves sooo much more. he's being kept in the deepest folds of the entertainment industry and he pretty much deserves to be given attention. listen to any of his songs and you'd easily see that this guy is drippng with talent. XD

jay chou, for me, is definitely overrated. sure he has the talent and all, but hello? a**-kissing much? don't get me wrong, i like jay but i don't really get where all the boom is coming from.

Wonder Girls.
The only thing good about them is that their songs are catchy but thats it. People need to stop thinking that WG are the best girl group in Korea or Asia because they aren't. I don't really like the fact that they're trying to break in the US industry yet they can't speak proper English. They're just going to further enhance the stereotype that Asians can't speak English. I don't understand why JYP are making them going into the China market when they haven't really solidify their position in the US, not to mention they can't speak mandarin either.

an amazing writer and singer, he should be out there promoting
