I was searching for a thread on Lee Min Ho to know more about him and your new started thread just makes my day!:) I didn't know there was a guy by the name of Lee Min Ho in the Kdrama world until Boys Over Flowers was released. He is such a hunk and I wonder why could this hot man be missed out in those popular dramas. He definitely deserves the role of Goo Jun Pyo and I am rooting for him! He is the only one that resembles like the Domyoji in the comics, with the height, the hairstyle and the way he carry himself just makes the drama worth watching!

Actor Lee Min-ho: "Past trials led me to drama role"


Main lead of the KBS 2TV drama "Boys over Flowers"

The latest heartthrob for Korean women is the young actor Lee Min-ho, the hero of the new hit KBS 2TV drama (airing Mon-Tues) "Boys over Flowers." His casting as the hero of this drama series, extremely popular across Asia, created a buzz from the start. Any handsome actor would covet the role of one of the members of the "F4," a group of rich and popular boys at a school where the story takes place.

The Korean cast for F4 was finally revealed and the casting of a complete novice actor, Lee (22), for the role of F4 leader "Gu Jun-pyo" was almost shocking.

The series has kicked off and Lee has literally become a star overnight, silencing doubts of how he would handle the heavyweight role. His name tops various Internet search-word lists and 100,000 fans visit his Internet homepage each day.

The "F4 craze" has hit Korea since the drama series was also made in Taiwan and Japan, and Lee is at the center of it all. But he had his share of trials thus far. He debuted in the 2006 EBS drama "The Secret Campus" but had to take a year off after a car accident. After his rehabilitation, he landed his first lead role in the SBS high teen drama "Mackerel Run!" but the series ran short.

Lee said, "If I didn't have the accident and continued acting I might not have been able to meet 'Jun-pyo.' I shiver at this thought. What I suffered led me to this breakthrough role. I worried about the role because I'm unknown to the public, but of course I was thrilled to be cast."

But the title role of the super popular Asian drama series is actually a heavy burden to shoulder.

Jun-pyo is the heir to Korea's number one conglomerate group and a typical spoiled and arrogant character. He is hot-tempered and rough, but also has childlike innocence. A polar opposite of his friend Ji-hu (played by Kim Hyeon-jung), Jun-pyo has his heart firmly set on Geum Jan-di (Gu Hye-seon), the daughter of a working class family who runs a dry cleaning store.

Women viewers empathize with the rich F4 boys doting on Jan-di. They also get to love Jun-pyo as more of his sides are shown and say he is attractive in many ways. Women want to take care of him and be embraced by him at the same time.

He is a high school student in the drama, but Lee is actually on leave from Konkuk Univ. where he majors in cinema/art. What is Lee really like? He said, "I think I'm somewhere between Jun-pyo and Jan-di. I have both sides of them. This cute handsome guy role is unfamiliar though. I can totally carry a pathetic role as well (laugh). But for now, I hope to be Jun-pyo and him alone."

He revealed that it was only through the trials and tribulations of being part of two “not-so-successful” dramas as well as a car accident that helped him land the role as Ku Jun-pyo, the leader of the F4.

Although we know this is just a way for him and the drama to get more attention, please, can they be any more unoriginal and reuse the line “My past has made me into who I am today”.

I will be visitng this thread more...now that I am hooked with Boys Before Flower...I wasn't going to watch it since I've seen the taiwanese version and know how the storyline goes. But after seeing LMH, who can resist his sexiness. I was just looking at his films and was wondering if this is his first time as lead male? I can't believe I didn't watch I am Sam too. That would have started my LMH craze so much earlier...but it doesn't matter...he has another fan and supporter here...looking forward to seeing more of him in BBF...cause his character is so irresistable...

they have great chemistry....but IMO anybody will look good beside him....weeee....

nice to meet you, i'm lee min ho. i'm glad to meet you all through my blog.
today, we had our filming at the place jandi works at. however, there were too many fans gathered around that we had to stop filming.
yesterday, today, and tomorrow, i will be busy filming, and due to the tight schedule, i have not yet been able to feel how much popular this drama is getting. i have heard from people around me how much attention this drama is getting though...
today for the first time, after seeing how many fans came to our filming site, i came to realize the popularity of this drama. i am glad to see that there are many fans out there. i realized that from now on, i need to put even more effort into my acting. and furtheremore, during my break, a fan girl asked me to give her my autograph. if i knew this was going to happen, i should have thought of a cooler autograph.(maybe, i need to find some timeto practice my autograph)
filming will continue on for a long time, so please give us more attention.

Lee Min Ho Sleeps on the Job
In his Japanese blog, Min Ho said that he was not acting in the above picture, he was really sleeping. During the month of January, they have a lot of outdoor filming at different locations, it is freezing cold all the time. But that day, they were filming indoor the entire day, MinHo was very happy because it was nice and warm. So he decided to get into the bed just to play around, but then before he know it, he fell asleep.

From what I observe most of the korean actor with surname Lee are normally handsome and stunning looking - like - Lee DongWook, Lee JunKi in "My Girl".

LEE MH needs to refine on certain part of his acting. But overall he is charming and attractive and cute with his curly-worly hair. He looks more professional in this hair style rather than his straight hair. I didn't know that he has been acting from 2005. Wow this Drama BOF really bring up his name. However, I think he has a mix blood. He doesn't look totally Korean, that is only my take.

^Gosh, he a hottie...I'm drooling over his photos there ...anyway, these past days I was just searching his pics and anything about him...Jun Pyo really make me in love with him...when first I started watching BOF, I wasn't that click with the character but as the story plot flows then I realized how the character movement and Min Ho totally gives his best to play this role ...I'm able to smile when at his childishness and able to cry when the character was crying...so far ep. 14 really break my heart *sad* and show how good he is as an actor...

Guess he’s not about to let his co-star Gu Hye-sun have all the fun packing her resumé with other activities. Not only will a single be sold, an accompanying music video will be shot (it’s still being cast, but the director has been selected).

Although Lee will be singing the track, don’t consider it a foray into a kpop career; it’s more like a fancy CF. This comes as part of an ad campaign for Cass beer, for which Lee is brand model.

As we know, Korea’s got a pretty good track record in the branded entertainment field.
