not me, i actually think he's really good at acting. didn't you see how well he did in the monkey king? he's very creative and acts so unique -- i don't think you can find someone else that can act like him.

i don't think he's that bad, it's just that his series always seem similar. he always plays the obnoxious bald boy who's really good in martial arts. and his kind of humor isn't 'funny' humor...it's more like sarcastic humor. but besides those things, i think he's alright.

haha, he looks better when he has hair though...and i think his singing is pretty good. much better than those actors/actresses who try to sing, but fail miserably.

I used to think he's okay but it seems that almost everything he does now follow the same formula. His style of comedy is simply not funny and gets really annoying.

I actually like him plus he is cute in my opinion. He is better at acting in funny roles than serious roles which makes him boring.

I don't understand, Dicky Cheung is a great actor. All of his shows made me laugh out loud. For example The Duke of Mount Deer, Monkey King and now Kungfu Soccer. I think he has great potential and can really make others laugh. However I only see him in comedy shows and never had a serious look.

hes an OKAY actor... to be truthful... and every time i see his movies or shows... its pretty lame and redundant... because what DEFINeS A GOOD ACTOR OR ACTRESS is that he or she CAN PLAY ANY ROLE... like a villian or the good guy or this or that.... like im pretty sure everyone here knows ROBIN WILLIAMS... the funny hairy guy... in all his movies... he was always the FUNNY LUNATIC HILARIOUS GOOFY GUY... but then he starred in this movie in which he played this evil villian.... and BAM... everyone thought he did so well... because he was able to change character roles... and not play the SAME OLD funny guy... and he won mad academy awards for that

i used 2 really like him after watchin him as the Monkey King in Journey 2 the West '96 (the only series i liked of Dicky)...but now, im just neutral 2ward him...
but then, after watchin some of his Taiwan/Mainland series, i realized that all of characters seems soooooo similar. even though the character r different, their personalities r the same.
yup, after realizing that, i didn't bother renting his series anymore. it's just gonna bored me 2 death watching Dicky playin the same type of character over & over again...w/ that bald head of his...seriously, how long did he had that look? god knows...but he really needs 2 grow his hair out & have a new look.

I think his acting WAS great - that was when he was doing the Monkey King with TVB. After that, I HATE his series, especially those he did in China!! All of those series are not funny at all!! His character is all the same, it seems like he is not acting, but just fooling around in all those series. If you call that acting, then I have no comment!!!

I like DIcky he's a good actor and he can sing/rap/dance. I agree on his late productions are getting a bit boring because he's mumbling all the time.

He also played in this very old series where he became a ghost (b/c he was dead probably) I think a direct translation of the chinese title is buddy ghost.

a few of his latest productions involves many of the eeg artists, seems like he has a great connection with that clan of singers. but i agree, that he should be looking for breakthroughs in his acting rather than stick to the safe side...kungfu soccer and the last monkey series he did was just a wreck, too many people doing too many things at once.

in the many Journey to the West series, his performance as the monkey is the best of all in my view. The guy in JttW II overacts and yells in dialogs.

i used to hate him because he thinks he's such a hot shot and so funny when he's not... now i think he's ok... at least better than stephen chow who always uses perverted stuff to be funny

I think he is a great a actor who is one of a kind. He has his own style and his own attitude. Very energetic and unique. Loved the monkey king and duke of mount deer series.

He's quite a decent actor. Where in some series he's better than in the other he does. I think the most reminding of him for me was was he's song of captain tsubasa of 10 years ago. I really like that song. With the recent serie Kung Fu Soccer where he sings that song again it wasn't good anymore like he did 10 years ago.

I don't like him! I don't know what it is about him but I don't. Possibly cause he seems a bit arrogant and I don't think his acting is all that. even though most of his role are similar, it is because they are similar that he can play them well. his stlye of comedy is unique in the way that he uses the cast *normally his bestest friends* to its fullest producing a sort of relationship with the viewer and then giving an 'in-your-face' approch making silly comments or quoting himself from earlier, or making just a simple move to cause the viewer to smile/laugh. usually its when the role he plays finds a person he loves:

the scenes with him and charlene, they are really funny, especially when they play around with eachother. but the scene when charlene is dying...that one was really really sad

he's not that great. he's been playing gueststar (aka stupid minor) roles lately in some series. even if you're the main character in many series doesn't mean youre great. look at that damn Raymond Lam and Ron Ng for e.g.. They cant god damn act to save their asses!!

how could you dislike dicky cheung, one of the greatest actors of all time. His definetly one of my fav actor, he can fight, good comedian but his short and bald. what else do you want from a great actor like him?

I'll admit that he is funny and pretty good at acting (probably one of the best in China), but dude how would ANY girl fall for him in dramas is beyond me because he really is not cute/hot.

His acting is okay and his looks are average but my problem with him is that he never have the right look in all the Costume ancient series. Take the Taji Prodigy for example, he should have long hair and a bun tied at the top but instead he has short hair and a little pig tail of a braid. Then when the Treasure Basin comes out he has modern hair all parted up and add a few long hair in the back and it just looks weird and freaky and doesn't fit with what guys are supposed to look in the ancient time. Is it that hard for him to have the proper hair style while filming an ancient series?I just have a thing for hair-do or just hair basically so forgive me if i bugged anybody.

I dunno what is there to hate on Dicky, but imo he is a funny/talented actor. I enjoyed Duke of Mount Deer and Journey to the West series! They were great! But Monkey King: Sutra wasnt too great.

Hehe That's why he doesn't appear in love stories:) Most of his roles are funny roles where he stars along side of a better looking actor. Like in Kungfu Scholar, he stars alongside with Aaron Kwok. And in One Step Beyond (the series where he turned into a ghost) there was Deric Wan. I'm into good-looking guys, so I don't watch most of Dicky's movies, only those two with Aaron and Deric. But, although I don't like him, I have to admit he's a great comedian with his own comedy style. Most guys like him. Like when I watched kunfu scholar and one step beyond, I concentrated on Aaron and Deric while my brother-in-law concentrates on Dicky...in fact my brother-in-law likes dicky's comedies a lot.

but i love him nonetheless because his series still make me laugh. I don't recommend people to watch too much of it because it might drive u crazy with the crude humor and such. is it me or does he act like a retard in most of his series? lol.. i dont know but in my opinion, he should head back to TVB.
