the joining of Damien sure makes the whole series more interesting...now i do look forward for the storyline, at least i think having Damien and then Chilam, it should be some rubbish series and more importantly, it sounds like that Tavia has been thinking abt accepting or rejecting for a while so i guess it should be something 'good' that's why she ends up accepting it

According to a fan finding out from Tavia's Manager, Tavia's manager said that Tavia is taking part in this series. And recently, there is an article by Takungpao reporting on Chilam supporting Michael Tse against Michael Tse's recent rumor, the casts mentioned for the upcoming new series were Chilam, Michael Tse, Myolie Wu, Tavia, and Damian Lau. So it should be official now.

I wonder what her character in the series is going to be, Myolie is going to be a rich family's materialistic daughter who got into financial difficulty. Her role sounds interesting. I hope Tavia's role will be as interesting as hers. Actually, I don't mind if Tavia acts as Chilam's younger sister. At least there won't be those draggy triangle.

It's nearing one month before BTROC airs. Anyone knows when TVB will usually release trailers for it in HK?

Now I just hope that Damian isn't Myolie's rich father, or else, Tavia's role would look smaller and probably will have less screentime.



I'm afraid if Tavia has been thinking about accepting or rejecting the role for a while because it didn't interest her but then ended up accepting it because she doesn't want to offend/disappoint the Producer, especially since the Producer belongs to Tommy Leung's side. Tavia has been filming a lot in Catherine Tsang's side nowadays, so if she rejects any role from Tommy's side, it probably won't be a good move politically.

Tavia didnt reject TA3, but LKH didnt wanna her film it and Catherine said "NO" at that time. Tavia can reject this series if she wanna, political or not, she has worked non stop this year and definitely need a break

Well, no matter how good a position a fadan has in TVB, she will still be subject to office politics. In fact, it is never wise to reject a role, unless she has excellent reason for it. It maybe okay for Tavia to reject the role based on her need of a break, but I still think that the problem is that she has been working for Catherine's side for quite a few years already and she was listed in Catherine's side, but the offer given to her now is from Tommy's side (and she doesn't even have a schedule clash with another project to back her reason). If she rejects the role given by Tommy's side, it may offend Tommy's side as they may have the wrong idea that she is no longer putting the other side in her eyes. The case would have been better if the role is from Catherine's side, then it may not be as politically unwise to turn the role down. At least, there won't be politics reason involved in her decision. Anyway, this is of course my opinion. But it has been well known that TVB managed artistes hardly reject roles and TVB politics is currently in chaos as reported by various sources.



The family seems like really warm, I have a feeling I will enjoy watching their family scenes in SWSTC. But I wonder what Evergreen Mak mean by saying "Three siblings happily having hot pot together, however........."

It's good that TVB is starting to promote Tavia and give more chance to her this year. I wonder whether Ms. Lok and her department got into trouble has anything to do with this. Of course, it also helps a lot that Ah Yuet in MR is a HIT.

As for who are leading in the new series, they most probably share the leads by names, but in terms of first leads and second leads, I think it's still more likely that Myolie and Chilam are first leads while Tavia and Michael are second leads. After all, the Producer is from Tommy's side and Myolie has been on Tommy's side leading a lot of series. But I guess it doesn't matter that much who is first leading or not anymore. Since Tavia has accepted this series, I just hope her role will give her potential to shine and that she will gain even more popularity. At least, if what Gigi posted is true, Tavia will have Michael Tse and she won't end up alone.

SWSTC filming is really going quite quiet. Where can the blog manager team or scoop team visit Tavia in the set of filming and interview her like they did for some other series?

It will be an extremely unwise move to reject the Chilam series. Tavia is on her way to top fadan status and she doesn't have any rights to accept or reject a series yet. And if she rejects the series, like Akau said, she might offend Tommy Leung's side. I see more benefits accepting the role rather than rejecting it. One, it has a great cast (Damien & Chilam are a huge draw). Second, Tavia will have higher exposure next year (3 dramas, 4 if you count Iron Horse) and finally, it opens up more options for her with both Catherine Tsang & Tommy Leung sides approaching her for future dramas. Tavia's fans had complaint about Virginia Lok overlooking Tavia, now it's the best chance for her to get into the good books of everyone against Virginia Lok.

TVB is giving chances to Tavia FINALLY! She needs to take it and put it to good use. She's been working non-stop but yeah, with hardship will come great success. Go Tavia!

I agree. It wouldnt be a good career move to reject the role. I was watching VIP today with Charmaine and during her journey to TVB top fadan, she had to work every day of x number of years to achieve such success. But of course, she is offered better roles nad chances from the start of her career
So even though Tavia should definately get more rest, that could compromise her status in TVB
But seeing Tavia on TV is much better than not seeing her

BTROC is going to film its TVB Jade Channel trailers on 19 September. I hope we will get to see some pics of Tavia for the event, but then usually filming of trailers are quite low-profile.
I wonder how the trailers of BTROC are going to be, I hope it's good. To be honest, I didn't quite like the trailers of HOG, SITS, RB, so I hope they are going to do a different kind and better one, but they would probably do like HOG, SITS, RB again. Anyway, however it is, I'm sure I will enjoy it, just keep it coming.

Tavia has got long-ish hair at the moment, but we've NEVER seen it down. She's always having it up in a ponytail for some reason. Even in the series with Raymond when she has to dres up and attend some kinda ball, her hair is still up. Maybe she will have it down for TVB anniversary?

Yes, Tavia definately needs to take a break but I dont remember her saying that she will. She has placed great emphasis on taking care of her mum since her dad died, so thats maybe why she's so hard working.

I was pretty depressed when Tavia cut her hair after TBBOL, I mean, she looked soooo gorgeous with it!!! and btw, she hardly had her hair down in that series, so really, her long hair wasn't used to the best of its ability!!! lol! I really loved the short hair cut on Tavia but she's had it for a whole year already, so its time for another change... I think Tavia is one of those rare actresses that cut their own hair in order to get into a completely different character (while also giving us a fresh feeling)... I mean, Myolie, Fala and Linda have all had wigs because they wanted to keep their hair the way it is... unfair!!!

Myolie will going to Japan at the end of next month to film her new series with Chilam, Tavia Yeung and Michael Tse. She will be filming as a couple with Chilam. hope to see chilam have some sort of romance with tavia. they are the two that look the most compatible together out of the other castmembers of this series. screentime does matter. who wants a repeat of "nonsense, the role wasnt lead to get nominated as best actress"(MR) "not leading lady status yet". tavia shouldnt be pushed to secondary roles and have that b---- lok use it against her like she did in the past. they dont give tavia an even playing field, always starting her back much further than others, and no its not alright every time. the problem isnt whether she accepts to be in a series or not, its that they have the ability to arrange a role of fair magnitude and chance for her but do they do it?

the only exception i see is if tavia plays another villain in this series. otherwise, with tavia's acting skills, should never be supporting under her "peers" and especially the ones with lesser acting caliber. the only right thing is equal leads but tvb is always so poor in judgement that i dont know whether to have any hope for this series or not.

noone knows the plot of Chilam series, but i dont care now. Laughing Gor and Ah Yeut have strong fanbases now, whatever happens, they are still loved. Also, Tavia has worked nonstop this year, maybe "memorial" share lead is better.

I know that there isn't much news on Tavia lately but I guess we can still discuss stuff about her... recently, Raymond Lam accepted a phone interview with Eileen Cha, Raymond and Tavia were in a car together and Tavia was sleeping lol! (Raymond and Tavia were filming a scene where they are driving a fast car, and they had a break, therefore Ray was accepting a phone interview on his recent concert dvd sales and his upcoming plans)... I think that they've basically done most of the filming for the series since it is going to wrap up soonish in mid-october... WOW October is just around the corner again!! that means that the costume fitting for Chilam-Myolie-Tavia-Michael series is coming soon!!! really can't wait to see Tavia's style and character!!!

I don't think we have to worry about Tavia being the next Gigi because the audience has already agreed that Tavia can act, whereas in Gigi's case it was different.

Seriously, everyone deserves an award if they've put in efforts, performed well, and is accepted by the audience. Tenure has nothing to do with who to give the award to.

Would it be fair if Tavia did get all of the above, perform really well, put in a lot of efforts, and the audience has a good response, and accepts the role well, but the award is given to someone else because they have 'more experience' and is more 'senior'?

I'm not saying they should give the award to Tavia because I think Sharen deserves it as well, but I'm not going to think Tavia didn't deserve it if they do give the award to her over Sharen.

I think this year is definitely Sheren and Wayne's year to take best actress/actor unless of course like you guys have said earlier, artistes from Beyond and Born Rich do something really special and gain audience hype... I just hope that the power of netizens will again do great things for Tavia!! Yes that's what the magazines are saying in their articles, BUT they also mention the fact that Tavia's acting is good and has support of the audience. They're not saying that Tavia is just going to get the award like they did about Gigi, they also include other stuff like how the older generation (Susanna) are praising Tavia's performance.

There's a bit of a balance in the article. Besides, I wouldn't be surprised that this is all TVB's doing, just to get more hype about the awards, and BTROC. For goodness sakes, the awards is 3 months away, and 2 of the major drama hasn't even started broadcasting yet, and all these speculations.

It's really dependent on the response they get for BTROC, if Tavia gets good feedback from the audience and all, I wouldn't be surprised if TVB does give the award to her. I'm pretty sure TVB's learned their lesson with the Gigi/Sharen incident, if there's not enough praises/support from outside sources, they wouldn't give the award to Tavia. Sharen still stands a good chance at the award.

And on page 2, there is a survey done with 50 HK audience about who will be Sheren's biggest competitor for the award - Tavia came in first with 22%, then Kenix, Charmaine, Anita, Michelle & Jamie. Seriously, WOW! She managed to beat all her seniors. And there are some comments about Tavia having credentials with her acting.

Whether Tavia wins the award or not, I think she has already won over the audiences and that is already a victory in my eyes.
