Sheren vs. Tavia for this years award? I have a feeling that Sheren has the bigger chance but I have my fingers crossed for Tavia.

people are really creating hype for no particular reason, I mean, Beyond hasn't even been released yet.. I don't see why everyone is comparing already!! anyways, remember to visit Tavia's blog, because we still want Tavia to maintain #1 position!! October is drawing closer and closer, so I really can't wait to see Tavia in the new series... maybe long hair??? lol!

I am so worried for Tavia. All eyes are on her now when 'Beyond' airs. So much hype on her villian role and whether she can really pit up against Sheren in 'Rosy'.

yeah, make most people think Beyond is Tavia solo show, they will focus in her more than other casts, and whether others act badly, they will oversee that. Hope Tavia can live up our expectation.

who cares about the rumours...everyone knows that tavia won't get the award...it's just the media's way to promote beyond and the anniversary...at least it means that tavia is worthy to snatch audience's attention...

Totally agree! But Tavia better get nominated in the best actress category for Beyond.......I hope they don't change the rules like they did last year. It pissed me off when they removed her role from best actress to supporting for MR when Ray got nominated for his character in MR for best actor.

I have a feeling that Tavia will make Top5 also.. gosh, news are sooooo dry lately, and Tavia hasn't updated her blog in ages, geez, hope that something comes around so its not so dry here... so the Chilam series starts around October and there is still no temporary name for the series, hmmm hopefully it will be something catchy and easy to remember though because all these series lately have had long tentative titles lol!

It was said that in last year's TVB anniversary award ceremony, TVB gave he TV King and Queen title to Ha Yu and Michelle Yim, these two "elders". According to the HK media, Tavia got this award because of her good acting skills, her audience fate and the most important thing is that she's obedient with the TVB executives praising her. Also in the last two years, the TV Queens were "old veterans" Louise Lee and Susanna Kwan, TVB executives felt that this year they should have a younger FaDan get the award, giving Tavia Yeung a chance. After "Rosy Business" finale, TVB scheduled all Tavia's series in which she played the female lead to broadcast after, including "Sweetness In the Salt" and the promising "Beyond the Realm of Conscience".

Tavia knows that TVB is giving her an opportunity to rise to the top, so she work her hardest to portray the character. She got so into her acting that her eyes even popped out, stealing the spotlight from the other female lead Charmaine Sheh. Even veterans Michelle Yim, Susan Tse and Susanna Kwan could not pass her. Getting great support and praises from TVB executives and veterans

In the series Tavia plays Yiu Kam Ling and will be palace maids with Lau Sam Ho (Charmaine Sheh) and also very 'good sisters'. Later when Tavia was chosen by the Emperor (Moses Chan) to be a concubine, deep down his heart was set on Charmaine, causing Tavia to get jealous and turned evil. In the end, because of her evil deeds, she was able to become the Empress. Susanna who had collaborated with Tavia several times said: "In this series, Tavia really put in a lot of effort in protraying this role, she brought out her evilness very well, so I feel that she does have a great chance in this year's awards." '3rd Mistress' from Rosy Business Kara Hui also voted for Tavia: "She told us all several times that we won't die well, when she said that in the series her eye contact was so terrifying, a killer stare. I was frightened by it. This year, I support both Sheren and Tavia."

Charmaine Sheh - the greatest support

But the greatest support was from the other female lead from this series Charmaine (Ah Sheh). Because she already knew earlier that Tavia was getting pushed for "TV Queen", Ah Sheh was willing to make way for her. Earlier it was rumored that Charmaine was also TVB's target for this year's TV Queen candidate, essentially this was only to get the public's attention. Earlier Charmaine was asked about the rumors about Tavia getting crowned this year? Currently at a higher status, but still declared her support, Charmaine said: "It's good! wow coming from veteran actresses like kara hui, susanna, and michelle, she must've really impressed them. personally, i think most experienced actors/actresses are not easily won over by artists less experienced than them since they have been there, done that, its just so rare that their support is so unanimous, they either support tavia or both sheren and tavia, just like i do. i really anticipate her villain portrayal in Beyond!

it would be hard to surpass herself again, she would of done a wide range of characters from good to the extreme evil by now, whats left but maybe some professional roles but even so, they are just good modern characters. i hope the results and gains for tavia's effort here turn out well.

you know why i dont think they will change script? this new series will film for 3 months or so and by the time the awards show is held, they would have filmed 2 months already, suddenly change script will make it awkward for story. And you know what will happen next, haters will say some thing ill about Tavia again. Just now for best actress, when they havent seen Beyond yet they already said Tavia cant win, and if Tavia can get award, and then Myolie isnt a main lead anymore, war will start again which i really dont want it.

I think for majority of the audience to consider Tavia as a 'real' contestant (or a 'threat') to the best actress award, as a fan I'm happy enough. Winning is a bonus. Want to watch Beyond expecting nothing but coming out with great feedback. Sometimes when expectation is too high, you get easily disappointed.

ppl can think what they want about myolie, tavia is our concern. i wouldnt shortchange tavia's role just so we'll please those kinds of ppl. if you find that somebody wants to war with you, then give them what they want, if you are afraid to acknowlege tavia's acting ability, then no use to call yourself her fan.

I agree with all your opinions, I remember when I was watching Club Sparkle, they were talking about a HK Film Award years ago where a particular actress won over another, and during the speech of the winner she said, "I know that a lot of people might critize as whether I deserve this award, but all critisims don't matter because the award is in my hands and no one can do anything about that!"

I have seen him grow and continually improve from minor roles to a lead who can carry a series. He really likes to act. As for fa dans, I think that Tavia Yeung has the most potential.
