HONG KONG - Coca-Cola has rolled out a new TVC campaign "Coke x Hotpot", as part of its ongoing Coke with Food theme, featuring Canton pop stars Charlene Choi and William Chan to highlight the great chemistry of having hotpot with cool Coca-Cola.

The 30-second TVC spot, rolled out this week, shows Charlene and William eating hotpot dishes with friends in a restaurant. When their taste buds feel burning hot, they rush out for the cool sensation of ice-cold Coca-Cola.

“We leveraged on Hong Kong’s winter eating culture of hotpot to communicate that Coca-Cola makes hotpot more enjoyable, both functionally and emotionally, and that the 'hot' sensory pleasure of hotpot goes even better with ice cold Coca-Cola,” said spokesperson of Coca-Cola.

To coincide with the TVC launch yesterday, Coca-Cola invited more than100 people to join a gimmicky hotpot gathering in a shopping mall, organised by PR agency Starbright Communications.

The campaign includes TVC, print, giant billboard ads, POSM, created by McCann Erickson Guangming and its media partner Universal McCann, is running for three months.

hahaha, William and Charlene are very close friends. I believe William is rumored to be dating AngelBaby, and so people always make fun of rumors, Charlene said Charlene baby in one of their functions and since every time William and Charlene are at a function, Charlene baby is brought up. It is one of those funny names that stick.

Hong Kong Dance Marathon 2009


"Hong Kong Dance Marathon" is a territory-wide, summer charity fund raising projet aiming to promote a way of life and encourage community spirit to reinforce the joy of living and positive lifestyle attitude.

The campaign aims to raise funds and to highlight "Suicide Prevention Services" (SPS) message that "life is worth living and should be celebrated…".[/b]

An 8-hour long "Hong Kong Dance Marathon Grand Finale" will be staged on 29 Aug 2009 at MegaBox - L10 Mega Ice.

Four 2-hour "Mini-Dance Marathons" will be conducted at Hong Kong's reputable shopping malls over 4 consecutive weekends (Saturday & Sunday) commencing 1st Aug 2009 as the lead-in programme. Participants are encouraged to attend the "Mini-Dance Marathons".

Participants will be dancing in their own, free style movement to the music & rhythm provided, enjoying themselves and radiating positive energy.

Young entertainment artists Charlene Choi and William Chan from Emperor Entertainment Group will be the event ambassadors and appear as cheerleaders to pledge support plus participate in on-stage demonstrations at the mini-marathons.

Hong Kong Dance Marathon 2009 Grand Finale will start from 11am to 7pm, divided into 8 hourly sections, i.e. section 1 starts from 11am to 12 noon, etc.

There will be a kick-off ceremony at about 20 minutes before the start of the event (i.e. 10:40am), event ambassadors Charlene Choi & William Chan will appear as cheerleaders to pledge support, all participants are welcome to attend.

hehe thanks guys for the pics. that gucci function was hot. they look glam together. It is always nice to see them together, there was news that they will film a movie together, William joke that working with Charlene would be fun because he got a lot of gags (jokes) to share!
