u mean the shows of the channel? it's not like there are a lot of choices... TVB shows are like the only HK shows that I watch

I hate it! I'm american cantonese. I find it very boring. I prefer western entertainment. There dramas are boring.

Like channel v. I love taiwan music! I love mandarin the language its way better than canto.

Actually i don't like it all like that, i just like the way it works out like all the artists (except for the bad ones) and the series, so plese disreguard my other message.

I love TVB dramas. I like it a lot more than the American shows. I haven't watched American sitcoms for at least 6 years now.

I like TVB. Though it has many flaws. Most of its old series has much more develop plots and characters relationships. Yet now their plots are sometimes poorly written -- American sitcoms is more entertaining. Yet I watch it because it keeps me entertain and I like the actors. Plus, there are good dramas release here and there from TVB.

I only like it when theres nothing good on the tv so I watch their TVb series instead, great way to past the time!

I hate that they don't always put out my fav series on DVD, so I can't buy them!

i like tvb but now i find that the newer series aren't all that good. They try to add in humor that feels a bit too forced and i don't find that funny at all (examples: Winter Melon Tale, Man in Charge)

I dislike a lot of the new, but like a lot of the old. Rosy Business was good.

I like TVB drama's but the people in these drama's are always the same so it doesnt give us variety. Some of the game shows are fun to watch too like the super trio

Well i like TVB cuz honestly i grew up watching their drama so its part of my childhood and it did end up teaching some values cuz although they do have random dramas all the dramas always end up with a good morals for the audience.
I personally adore some of the actors they have in TVB like Jessica Bobby Wayne ect they all know how to carry a show and proved their acting is watch worthy.

but recently TVB really annoyed me, not only did they lose majority of their well known actors but they started turning into a huge acting class for all the MHK winners. I swear those girls come on and go through dramas as if their acting courses. It seems that now a days as long as u are pretty you can get yourself in to a TVB drama the talent part is not even needed anymore.

But what i hate hate the most is that for some reason everyone in TVB thinks that they can sing outta no where... everyone has released an album just for the heck of it? why? I mean most of those albums suck because they are actors not singers!

I mostly like TVB as, well from my childhool as with most of you, I've been watching TVB. Now that I'm actually grown up a little (lol), there are somethings I dislike, which leaving out people without talent and promoting people just because they won miss hk or similar. Like Linda Chung, Fala Chen, they are no where as good in acting compared to Tavia, before where she is not noticed as much.

I just can't stand some miss hk, where they can't even speak proper canto, it really annoys me,most of them can't even act! and finally, most TVB atrists are becomming singers. In my opinion Raymond Lam is the only one sucessful, what happened to Kate Tsui or Bosco?

Previously, I liked TVB series a lot, especially ones produced in the late 1980s and mid 1990s because I found their scripts were very interesting, exciting and touching sometimes. Characters' personalities were depicted very lively, attracting viewers' attention with unexpected changes of situation and background.

But, now I'm very disappointed with almost new series of TVB. They are so boring, simple and have no surprising factors as before. No wonder why I really begin to turn my back on this kind of entertainment.

i liked tvb more back then when they had better actors and actresses. i don't see jessica hsuan, kenix, or flora anymore...

I loved the older TVB series because they were just excellent. Now I don't like many of their series.

I love TVB. Started watching it when I was young and still continuing watching now. I agree that the older TVB series were better. To me the series now kind of follow the same pattern. Basically in most TVB series, there's a lot of romance stories that seem similar. But I still like to watch it.

first off i want to say I've watch tvb dramas when i was a little kid. I always loved them. The drama these days kinda.. you know suck. The storylines are always the same and the love stories are usually the same. The dramas that I really liked were the ones that were made for as TVBs grand production? .. other than that most of the dramas are soso or blahhh.. i liked a lot of the old tvb dramas tho

What I like about TVB is.....I watched it since I was a toddler, it is far better than ATV. Hmm what I don't like about TVB????? The Kung Fu series.

well, i like tvb, then again there are times i feel there mad for come out with bad series nowadays

i used to like it a lot i guess , since they had pretty good dramas back then .
but now , their dramas are getting iffy =/ i find myself hardly ever watching TVB nowadays actually . & personally, i think some of their shows are a really waste of stuff/time & are just plain retarted ? well , that's what i think , haha .

tvb is not that great now compared to back then, i watch the odd series with my fave actors/actressess or if it has an interesting plot. I'm quite selective now, also i watch other korean/china/taiwan shows, whichever capture my interest.

You absolutely read my mind....I'm a fan of TVB dramas, but mostly those made in the 80's and 90's (the Golden Era). I've been collecting TVB dramas on DVD (VCD prior to that and video tapes prior to that) for as long as I can remember and I do find it annoying that they don't come out with my favorite series on DVD....I've noticed a pattern to the way they release the DVD'S -- either the series are really new (like from 2004 and forward) or really old (like 1981-1983)....it seems that only once or twice a year, they would release one of the series from in between (1984 to 1999).

Like right now, I have almost every single series from the year 2004 to 2006 (and even some of the extremely new ones from 2008 such as Last One Standing, The Four, Moonlight Resonance, etc.), but none of the "good" ones from the 90's such as DIF I-IV, UE I&II, The Breaking Point, Cold Blood Warm Heart, etc. Of course, I have almost every single series TVB has released in the U.S. so far, but just none of the "favorites".....annoying...



One of the reasons for this is because most of TVB's good actors and actresses (the ones who made all the classic series / dramas from the 80's and 90's) left them to pursue other interests....I think TVB is starting to realize that the younger generation of actors can't cut it and that's why in recent years they have asked many veteran actors to come back and do a series or two...notice that the best dramas in the last 10 years or so all had "veteran" actors in it (those who became famous in the 80's and 90's or even earlier than that).

I used to like TVB but I'm disliking it as they are promoting actors and actresses that doesn't need to be promoted. Their series are also lacking. Though I think they're better than ATV.

I found myself having no interest to TVB series nowadays, unless there's specific actor(s) performance I want to watch or a series caught my attention with rave positive reviews.

Recently I'm also quite disappointed at having one of my favourite installments "butchered" at the hands of certain TVB executives, producer and scriptwriters >__<. Furthermore maybe I have "life" in real world so I found myself caring less and less for TVB.

From what I see now TVB is more of a "commercial based" company, rather than a "creative arts" institution. It's also "interesting" to watch some TVB management executives appear onscreen more than many of TVB artiste(s) LOL

I like it alot bcoz I've been watched them since I was young. I like to watch Charmaine, Ada, Esther kwan.

I am getting more and more interested in TVB dramas (not addicted though lol)!
I like how most of the modern-series dramas have a theme that teaches you something about life in general and such.

But I sorta don't like ancient series anymore for some reason unless the cast is really good or has Kate Tsui!

And these days, I am just watching the series for my favourites rather than the plots. The plots of the recent TVB series arent very appealing.

The new generation of actors and actresses are good. There are lots of good shows by TVB!

This has been discussed in numerous other threads already, but just had to state it...as much as I like watching TVB series, I really hate the way TVB operates..whether it's their awards ceremonies (tv series and music) or the way the promote people and also the Ms HK pageants, I think TVB as a whole really has the "big company syndrome" -- that basically they can do anything they want and have things their way because they are the biggest tv station in HK that produces the most popular series. If you think about it though, the reason their series are good is because of the actors and actresses and the scriptwriters, not because of them. Yet most times, TVB is very ungrateful and treats their people like crap...that's why a lot of the most talented actors/actresses leave and even if they come back for 1 or 2 series, they never sign any long term contracts. I don't think TVB will ever change in this area but they should really consider it if they know what's best for them in the long run.

Like when they have the 80s and 90s actor ....because they just too good at acting.....and give us a fresh kind of feeling in their drama ...

Hated when TVB have those young actor who cant act and put them in a big role instead of those who been with them forever ...they never give them and chances . And they used the same ator every year to be the lead of almost every series in the same year it kinda sick to watch them in 1 series that he is rich and another one he is poor like wtf...? and every single year the same List of nomination every yearrrrrrr.........................................................Alway those same actor and same actress in every drama , in every nomination list ..............
They never give a new young actress who can actually act unlike RON ...a chance /// sad
