it's really hard especially when all the dramas u luv were aired on all 3 networks! xP but if u were still gonna make a choice, which 1 would u choose? n plz give reasons! otherwise ur post will be deleted by the mods!

^you forgot Nodame Cantabile for FujiTV..xD

i actually can't choose since just like you, all the good dramas and my faves as well are provided by those 3 networks and i don't think competition is such a big thing for them..so yeah, not much of a fuss for me...hehehe..

Initially, I was not quite sure which way to go…they have all produced good quality dramas, and some which were not so good…I was unsure what to base my choice on…do I go with the network that has produced the most amount of popular/high quality dramas, the network which tends to attract the highest ratings, or the network which produced the most amount of dramas I have watched & love?
It’s a tough choice considering all 3 networks have had their fair share of successes and downfalls.

Just looking at the list of dramas, I can understand how tough it is to pick a network you prefer the most…these 3 are Japan’s largest networks after all, and seeing their very impressive list of productions, it’s not hard to understand why…they’ve all produced highly successful dramas which we all love, as you can see here…TBS has the heavyweight HYD series, Fuji TV has HK, and NTV’s most notable drama is the highly successful Gokusen series, among others.

For me personally, it was initially a difficult choice…but if I really had to choose 1 station only, I would still be able to make a choice…frankly, I rarely watch TBS dramas, but love the HYD series (of course) and Tokkyu Tanaka 3 Go (Tanaka Express 3) starring my beloved Tanaka Koki wub.gif and RESCUE starring my also much-loved Maru, these 3 are my favs from TBS, and they are among my list of fav dramas of all-time.
I occasionally watch dramas from Fuji TV, surely more so than TBS ones…HK is no doubt 1 of my fav dramas, I also like 1 Litre no Namida (1 Litre of Tears) & Zettai Kareshi.
But the network which produces the most amount of dramas I watch is NTV…1 major reason is because I mostly watch dramas with my fav idols & actors, and much of theirs were aired on NTV.

I think if I was to pick a network only, then it would be NTV overall…despite the fact that their dramas don’t usually attract as high ratings as the other 2 networks…but, ratings don’t determine the quality of a drama after all, and I’ve watched plenty of dramas from NTV…among my long list of jdoramas I love/like, 'Gokusen' is still my favorite of all-time, 1 Pound no Fukuin is another drama I like, I also like Kami no Shizuku; all of which were aired on NTV…and I tend to stay with the network most of the time, they also aired the popular Detective Conan live action specials starring 1 of my other biggest idols; Oguri Shun, the SPs are among my fav movies.
And then there's TV shows, Utawara and Cartoon KAT-TUN I watch on a regular basis, Utawara was aired on NTV and ended in 2007, while CTKT is still airing on the network.

When it comes to the ratings war, it’s apparent NTV is usually at the bottom or in the middle of the list somewhere, not many of their dramas had ever surpassed the other 2 networks in the ratings...but in spite of all these setbacks, NTV is very dedicated & passionate in their work, and are still determined to produce numerous dramas each year.
Although lately I've noticed that TBS is struggling in the ratings war too...most of their recent dramas haven't been doing very well lately...I think the only recent drama of theirs which is consider a big hit is Mr Brain, but then again, it starred heavyweight Kimura-san after all...but the rest of their dramas this year have not been doing too well in the ratings, so TBS seems to be struggling...it seems even NTV is doing slightly better this year (if you exclude Kame's 'Kami no Shizuku'), they've had more recent dramas with higher ratings.

Anyway, overall I'm not just basing my decision solely on dramas, but also other aspects as well, such as the SPs they aired, their variety shows etc...and after I've taken all of these factors into consideration, my vote is clearly NTV.

^wow u really have given it alot of thought crissie!

i've never thought of it that way before...but now come to think of it, it does make sense...i guess if u just base ur opinion on the dramas only, it's a tough choice...but if u consider other things, then it may ease out the decision making...

to tell u the truth...i don't normally watch tv shows from tbs & fuji tv...most of them are aired on ntv...oh n i luv 'detective conan' too! i guess i'm startin' to shift more towards ntv too...but i already voted for all, cuz i couldn't make a choice at the time...oh well, i still like tbs & fuji tv too =)

It is hard, because like what has been mentioned, all 3 stations have aired some very successful and loved series, and some which were not so good. So it's hard to decide.
