Sonija Kwok Erases Heavily Rumored Past



Earlier, Sonija Kwok Sin Lei was plagued by rumors that she was the third party involved in Michael Tao Dai Yu's divorce. Appearing at a press conference for theater project, 《王子復仇記》 with Steven Ma Chun Wai, Sonija drew a boundary with past rumors.

Collaborating with Steven, was Sonija afraid of rumors between the pair? "Let's not talk about this. I do not care about rumors. As [most rumors are for promotional purposes], I can not control them. Thus I can only be accountable for my own work."

Heavily utilized by TVB, Sonija just returned from competing in a Chinese dance program, 《舞動奇跡》. She also filmed a travel program at one of the highest mountains in Yunnan. Were these assignments TVB's attempt to erase Sonija's heavily rumored past? "It's hard to avoid. [The assignments] just turned out that way!"

"It was extremely cold on top of the ice mountain. Due to the extreme cold weather, I could not even eat. I vomited numerous times. The experience was more of a hardship than filming series."

"I asked myself why I had to experience such hardship? But the experience was worth it and made me realize the past did not matter. Many things were beautiful during the ascent and descent of the ice mountain. My work is the most important now."

In an earlier Taiwanese program, Eric Tsang Chi Wai sprayed milk at Sonija. The antic was unexpected, but Sonija understood that Eric wanted to boost ratings and was not angry at him.

In the new theater project, Steven will be acting the role of the insane Lau Woon. Steven was preparing his emotional state for the role. But he was not afraid that he will be unable to remove himself from his character after the project ends.

Towards the end of the performance, Steven will have a 3 minute sword battle with Michael Tse Tin Wah. Due to his badminton practice and intake of Chinese herbs, Steven was physically fit for the role.

Tabloids photographed Michael Tse with Mak Ho Yee earlier. However, Michael's wife was already aware that the rumors were false and the couple laughed over them. TVB did not question Michael about the rumors either.

Sonjia is actually very beautiful. I remember watching her in 1999 beauty contest and i already really like her in person. She definately has elegance and grace as well as exquisite beauty. I still find her to be very pretty even till now. She's much better looking than Charmaine Sheh or Gigi lai. But i have to say that i do not like watching sonjia act. She can't act.. i dont' like her voice, i dont' like how she moves her mouth.. i just find it irritating

Woo i think that she has good skills. Does anyone saw on the first beat? she play a role as a madam. I think that she really did a good job on the drama. However, it was a bad ending!! Well, i hope that she acts in more drama!!

i heard that she is leaving tvb becoz of an affair, which is still a rumor... is it true? I hope she will not leave, i like all her series, she potray her char very well and improved a lot in her acting and plus she's pretty too.. it would be a big loss for tvb if she ever left =(

Sonija Kwok and Jacquelin Chong attended the 《新地全城躍動迎金鼠》 function. During the function, Sonija learned how to play the matouqin on the spot. Even though the performance was average, her beauty and poses made up for it. Are you going to work during the CNY? TVB’s new series 《盛世人傑》 had a worship ceremony for the first day of filming. The artistes in attendance were Bernice Liu, Sonija Kwok, Cheng Jut Si (鄭則士) and Li Xiang Qin (李香琴). Lydia Shum and Qin Jie (琴姐) are good friends. Qin Jie revealed that Lydia’s health is good recently. They went out for vegetarian dishes a month earlier. She encouraged her to be careful of the food she was eating. Sonija’s character in the series is the mother of Bernice and the stepmother of Matthew Ko. She is very happy to be called “mom” even though it is in the series only. For this series, there are a lot of ancient words for dialogue but fortunately Sonija’s Chinese is good. Sonija should be able to handle it. Lately there are reports that Michael Tao and his wife is reuniting. Sonija said that she would not respond to it.

Also, Edison Chan and other artistes are involved in rated R pictures on the internet. Even though, the photos authenticities were not proven yet but it has incurred a lot of attention. Sonija doesn’t know Edison personally but she feels that the photos are not real. She doesn’t plan to examine the photos. Sonija said that as an artiste, she needs to protect herself from these situations. Luckily she only has pictures of dogs and cats on her phone. It won’t contain any pictures of males to prevent misunderstanding. Someone uploaded pictures of an AV girl who resembled her onto the internet before this scandal happened. So Sonija doesn’t view those pictures as a sign of her not supporting the behaviour. It is very important for girls to know how to protect themselves.

Bernice did not view those pictures because she doesn’t want to support that behaviour. She feels that everyone has their privacy and doesn’t need to make it known. People should not be debating this because it affects the people who are involved. She hopes that the media would stop publishing those pictures or else it becomes encouragement for the perpetrators.

Sonjia Kwok using "D.I.E" to erase bad image

Yesterday Roger Kwok, Sonjia Kwok, Kenneth Ma, Queenie Chu and the rest of the cast from "D.I.E" attended a promotional event. During the event, they were split into 3 teams, each pair consist of a male and female for a game. The male needs to be blind folded and piggy back the female through a series of obstacles including gongs and drums; but Kenneth did not have enough strength to carry Queenie Chu almost dropping her to the ground. Although the competition did not have a loser, but the everyone had to be punished. They had to eat curry biscuits and 被夾夾子, the scene was very funny.

Roger's wife Cindy Au's baby will be due next month, currently he is trying his best to make her happy, hopefully she will feel relaxed and calm when having her baby. Yesterday Sonjia Kwok attended the Olympian City Wild Animal Kingdom 《奧海城野生動物王國》 opening function and was appointed as the ambassador of animals. She expresses that she has always loved animals, at home she has 3 dogs and a cat. I've watched an interview on Sonija. I thought she sound pretty real in reality. She said that when she first heard the Name "Wo Lai" she was very annoyed with it. A normal person will be annoyed by that. Some actress say stuff like "I found it very funny" It's like no you don't you will find that hurtful.

Sonija Kwok is God-Auntie to Roger Kwok’s Son

Roger Kwok, Sonija Kwok, and Margie Tsang are the main leads in TVB series “D.I.E”. Yesterday, they held a party to celebrate the series’ high rating. Roger became a dad and everyone congratulated him. He happily gave out red coloured eggs. Roger said: “I just finished feeding my baby boy. He is very refined when he feeds. Another Ending for “D.I.E” Where Roger Kwok Comes Back to Life

Yesterday Roger Kwok, Sonija Kwok, Kenneth Ma and others attended a promotional function for the series “D.I.E”. Originally the organizers planned a “water battle” promotion. All the artistes prepared swimwear underneath their clothing but the event was cancelled due to the rainy weather. The promotion event was held indoors instead. They played some “Super Trio” games. They used their mouths to transfer playing cards. Sonija showed off her strength and carried Roger. The producer 張乾文 expressed that the series is popular. He is planning to film an alternative ending so Roger doesn’t need to die.

The rating for “D.I.E” is very good. Roger happily said that he would have a lot more promotions to do. He hopes the ratings could break the 40 points mark. If it does, he would celebrate the ratings success with a dinner. He hopes to celebrate his son’s first month since birth and the ratings together. But his family doesn’t want to exhaust Cindy Au and the baby. So they would hold a banquet to celebrate the 100th day of the baby’s birth.

As to his son being a lucky star, Roger laughed that he is called “阿旺” which means prosperous. Roger joked that he was going to name his son “High Ratings Kwok”. Roger expressed that he often talks to his son and the baby would smile to him. The baby hears Roger’s voice and wants to be fed. So he tells his wife to feed the baby when “D.I.E” is playing on TV. This way the baby can hear his voice. It is reported that Cindy has found a slimming company to sponsor her. Roger said a slimming company has always sponsored her for slimming down and skincare. Last night Sonjia Kwok and Toby Leung attended a shoe store opening ceremony, the two were dressed up nicely. Both of them also had on a new short dress, showing a mature side of their youth. Asked if being a FaDan now is there a lot of competition, so she needs to constantly learn new things? Sonija Kwok Admits That She’s Old Not Afraid of Tabloid Stories

Last night, Hong Kong Baptist University held the “第6屆華語大學生影視獎”. They invited Eric Tsang, Sonija Kwok, Bernice Liu, Karena Lam, Andrew Lau, Stephan Chen and others to be guest presenters. Sonija has not filmed a movie since her last movie invested by her tabloid boyfriend Chen Guo Qiang (陳國強). The reporter asked if she would be working with Chen Guo Qiang again. She said that she does not have a contract with him anymore. It would depend on the company if she would be working together again. Sonija Kwok Admits That “D.I.E” Revitalized Her Career

Sonija Kwok’s popularity shot up quite a bit due to her TVB series “D.I.E”. The series is credited as her career-saving work. Yesterday, Sonija accepted a phone interview. Sonija spoke from the heart and said: “I want to say that it wasn’t but it appears to be. I was very anxious about the ratings at first. I requested that the producer tell me about the ratings each day. They told me on four separate occasions. The ratings were good and I was happy to hear about it each day.” Sonija revealed that she thanked the executives for their arrangements at the scheduled periodic dinners. She is also very happy that her ability to combat tabloid stories has improved. Now she will be reported in other news instead of tabloid gossips.

Rumoured couple Vivien Yeo and Eric Suen attended the new series costume fitting for “新網中人“ yesterday. Shirley Yeung, Sonija Kwok and Wayne Lai were also present. I wasnt really a Sonija Fan since i did not really thnk she was that good an actress. actually I still dont think her acting is that good but its getting there. her character in D.I.E was a change from what she normally does but she cud have been a bit more natural in it. I do admire her for being a lot more real than other actresses. after watching her interviews she looks seems rather real. she would speak her mind and does nt come across as being too fake. She seems truthful.

Wayne Lai arranged to have kissing scenes with Sonija Kwok

TVB’s new series “新網中人” (The remake of "The Good, The Bad And The Ugly") held a praying ceremony yesterday. The cast who attended were Wayne Lai, Eric Suen, Sonija Kwok, Shirley Yeung and Vivien Yeo. Lead role Wayne Lai who is favoured by producer Miu Siu Ching arranged kissing scenes especially for him and Sonija Kwok.
Wayne expressed that he felt Sonija had gained a lot of experience in the field and had matured as a person. He had also seen a big improvement in her acting. Yesterday they both filmed an arguing scene. The Producer had asked Wayne to discuss matters about the kissing scenes with his wife. But Wayne explains that his wife is very supportive about his acting. She will not complain but if she does it’s mainly because she feels his acting is poor.

Due to Sonija’s character in the series, she had to learn to make clay handicrafts. Yesterday she took some tools with her to the filming location. “I really enjoy making clay handicrafts, I will carry on after dinner and watching TV".
