I went to see a psychic yesterday and came out rather disappointed. I was expecting to be told more rather than be asked more. Most of the things he told me were quite general, but he did do a tarot reading on me, and that was quite true to my situation!
But anyway, what made me write this was while I was sitting in the room with the psychic, it seemed like there were 'waves' in the room. I don't know how to explain it. When I look at someone, I see them clearly, but with him, it seemed like there were visible sound waves around the room. Is what I'm seeing an energy or aura?
Has anybody here ever been to see a psychic? If so, what was the outcome?

If you want, I can do a reading for you for $2000 an hour.
Ahmmmm, I see that you are in your teens or early 20's. You are a man. And you have natural dark hair but sometimes people mistake you for another race. You are an independent person but sometimes you feel the need to be with family. You sometimes have questions about yourself and where you are headed in your future.
Ahmmmm I see the light.
Oh dammit I just gave you a free semi-reading.
Jiang Bao, are you kidding or for real? OH GOSH. sounds so fake

Psychic ain't real. They just describe something in general. I bet you if another person goes in there they will just say the same thing and that person might also have the same reaction as you. Doesn't matter. Live life to the fullest. Your future is not written in stone.

normally a psyhic's enviroment setting will give some mystical feeling to you.
Its jz like a magician, they make the surroundings work for them so that you ll believe them more.

i dont believe what psychics have to offer...they only go around telling you very generally stuff which basically applies to everyone (just as jiang bao has demonstrated to us in his post) by using words like "sometimes" and "buts" etc which never really clearly point out anything specific and just when you think they've got something spot on (e.g. you have dark hair) its only coz it applies to the general community you're from (you'd expect asians to be on AF)
and really...most of the readings seem to be true because you actuallly like what theyre telling you and you start thinking 'yeah...im kinda like that' and when things start flowing in the brain its amazing how true everything seems to be, and the more general stuff that they pop off at you (and the more you seem to like it)....the more credible they seem to you and you even start to 'forgive' them when they make a slightly incorrect prediction, which you just brush off and continue listening on to the vast amount of general compliments which they give you

Im quite curious as to how they can see the future. I have personally have never seen a psychic, but once on a dare I called a psychic hotline. They asked for my name (obviously not psychic if they dont even know the simplest thing) and they told me that I will be travelling a lot that year..
It was their vague prediction. I did travel a lot that year but its something that is quite common for anyone.. So, I still dont believe them 100%
I like to think that Im the handler of my own destiny

I believe in psychics, cos i used to text questions to a horroscope hotline number and they ALWAYS came out really accurate, quite scary really o.O and when my mom was younger, she said she went with my grandad to a tarot reader or something like that and they said he wouldn't live to see 60 and he died at 54..i doubt it was just a coincidence
I'd be too freaked out to go to one though lol i don't wanna know what my future holds like if i'm destined to die at a young age or something :|..omigosh

Well I don't really believe those things.. But when my mom was younger, before she even met with my dad, she also went to physics and she was told that she'll give birth to 2 girls. And that's what happend.
It may be coincidenc of course.. but still. So accurate.

Those people never really tell you the future they just tell you more of yourself which is so lame but u believe there are real good ones too so depends on who you go to see. But I never get a reading because I wonna be in control of my life.

One of my ex believes them sooooooo much!!
The psychic told my ex to do this do that and you will become rich and famous so he follows what the psychic told him and do all this things.
It is sooooooo stupid!!!!
He get the psychic to read his future etc like once a month to see if it changes anything lol.
When I first met him, it was at a hairdressing school, I told him why are you studying hairdresser.... he told me the psychic told me to study this and then he will become rich! lol so dumb! Well with his life, nothing changed....hasn't become rich, still borrowing money from his parents when he is in mid 30's...
I don't believe them at all!

I don't know weather to believe that a psychic can actually tell you where your live is headed or not.
But another thing is that I feel it's not good to know too much about your future. It's something that no one should know & be kept that way. It's like disturbing the peace of balance.
Personally I'm really curious to see a physic but I just feel uncomfortable about it.

Psychics are fake. They're jsut there for the money. And even if psychics were real, wouldn't all murder cases have been solved by now? Or to prevent something from happening?
I stopped by a shop and told them to guess my name. They was wrong and I left laughing.
Knowing things in the future is really scary.

Well, I think that either:
1. It was your mind
2. The guy had something to produce "waves" in the room
3. Demonic energy ;_; Very bad
Physchics are a waste of time.

When I open my mailbox I often find some ads from psychics who can help with money, love, health, etc ... troubles. I often wondered if they really can make a living with doing these consults.
There are two kinds of people who goes to a psychic.
1. The halve sceptics. Mostly for fun and to try to disprove the psychic.
2. The desperates. They want someone who can listen and believe them and offer a way out.
These are the ones they can scam out for cash.
I do believe there are some psychics around, but mostly it's just smoke and mirrors.
There are some books on how to read someone.
. appearances. happy/sad (face, laugh), richt/poor (brand clothes, jewels,ring), single or married(ring).
By asking the right questions and noticing the things above , you can give a more specific answer that the person want to hear.

First of all, I find the motives of psychics questionable.
Second, even if they were genuine, I strongly believe we are not meant to know our future. It isn't natural and if the psychic somehow told you something negative, this will only create fear in you. Fate is fate. I'd rather not know and live my life in peace for as long as possible.
Oh and, I do have a sense of fear of psychics if I must be honest. I've heard stories that some psychics may be sending messages from 'another' world beyond...misconstrued truths...I've been warned a person should avoid getting their fortune told. Ehh, who knows. But I'd rather not risk it ha.

I find psychics tell you what you want to hear, and like others have mentioned, very general things about you.
I had a coworker who was so happy with her psychic reading. She had a very sad divorce years ago, and then the ex husband re-married. The psychic told my coworker that the ex husband is very unhappy in his relationship and might break up soon (exactly what my coworker wanted to hear). And my coworker also has some health issues that causes her unable to conceive (less than 1% chance and she's getting old... close to 40). She knows this, but the psychic told her that oh don't worry, you still have two kids coming, blah blah blah... the reason you couldn't have kids before was because your kids don't want your ex husband to be the father. Hello!! I couldn't believe she bought all that bullcrap.

Psychic's are just strange conmen/women. O_O As many have already said, they basically say something general that could be about anyone then slightly adjust it from what they can see or what they know of you. Of course if you don't believe in them and go to see one then you'd pretty much know everything they tell you anyway and end up going wtf? O_o But those that believe them will probably read much more into it than what the psychic actually even said and coupled with superstition and stuff, may very well go do what the psychic told them to do which basically causes the psychic's prediction to come true.
That's pretty much my theory anyway.

Most psychics con people out of their pockets. they somehow know things about you, or say something general or someting that they have noticed. Shouldn't really go to one unless you're desperate.
Those waves may be from steam or something warm. Have you ever noticed waves whilst stading next to a train, or in a busy kitchen with roaring flames?

I have had a psychic do a tarot read but it was completely wrong in the end lol although the tarot was suppose to be for fun for halloween.

I am curious...has anyone had their life written out by a monk on paper? I heard from my Chinese friend that monks does this in China and will write out your life..positives and negatives. Has anyone done this and had an accurate reading? o.O

I think psychics are supposed to respect an individual's free will. Would you rather someone tell you what happens in the future, or would you rather someone give you the hope to endure and strive to make a better future with your own faith, passion, and will?
