Just a headsup. I'm currently running a purge which will remove lurkers (registered, but never posted) who haven't been around for 1 year (visited AF or any of it's subsites).

Also, members who haven't visited us for 2 years will be deleted too.

This is to open up some members name. And also to clean up the database a bit.

We're experiencing diffculties with our large members database.
At this moment we have to be careful recounting posts, or sending out email notifications. Doing that for 200k members is a very long process.

Also, subscriptions to topics were removed for members. (<-- this was an error)

There's nothing wrong with the first post. The post is not misleading. It's just the title that is misleading. But if you want the title to be catchier then so be it.

it's good to clean up!! guests posters are sometimes annoying. and those EXTREMELY inactive members..

I think cleaning up inactive members or non-sign in for lengthy period of time is a good idea....so often I see people forgot their password or log in name or have many different ids, would be good if one get second id must surrender previous one would be good too!

I've been inactive for a number of years and that was because I lost my password and the email address I used to sign up for this forum. D-oh. Good thing I found them just in time~
