she is such a great actress and made me cry along with her in wonderful life...

I watch Happy Together every week just because of her its shown every tuesdays 1pm here in the Philippines on KBS World but I really think Eugene is getting fat dont get me wrong I still love her but when I watch old videos of her singing and dancing with SES she looks really cute and slim back then I wish she would make another album so she can shed some excess pounds

I first saw her in Save the Last Dance. She's very simple in that series but my dad liked her. Actually, she's my dad's fav'rite Korean actress. She's very pretty. I love her in Wonderful Life. She really improves a lot. She's very good in that drama.

Not only Salsa, Rumba, Cha-cha, Jive, but also Tango, Eugene gains a mastery of them very fast. It makes her sweaty for diligent dance practice from 10:00 a.m to 22:00 p.m.

this melodrama is adapted from the cognominal movie which is acted by Geun yeong Mun.

Eugene will act a young girl named Char Rim who is from Yanbian, and the Yanbian dialect is necessary. The date of premiere is confirmed recently. Incidentally, Eugene pronounced a perfect dialect when she acted in the drama <really really like you> in 2006.

Eugene is the MC of the program <happy together friends> at KBS-2 TV Station, while the after portion of the movie named <unpreventable marriage> is paused.

Eugene, Musical Appearance Postponed Due to Rib Hairline Fracture

Due to a hairline fracture on the ribs, Eugene's musical appearance on A Dancer's Innocence will be postponed.
Eugene, who has been double-casted in the musical 'A Dancer's Innocence' (opening this Thursday, the 29th), discovered too late that she had a rib hairline fracture from too much strenuous dance practice.
Last Friday (23rd), after rehearsing the dance competition scene in the musical, Eugene felt a sharp pain in her ribs, so she went to the hospital and had a CT scan done. After confirming a rib hairline fracture, the doctor said, "it's not serious enough to be concerned about, but I'm surprised she could bear it and practice in that state for such a long time," and told Eugene to rest for at least a week.
But because this was her musical debut and there was only one week before the opening, Eugene persisted that she had to keep practicing. Upon hearing this news, the director and playwright persuaded her to postpone her first appearance by at least a week.
In the end, the performance on the 31st, which was originally going to be Eugene's debut, will go to Yang So Min, who was double-casted with Eugene.
Eugene plans to begin performing in the April 4th or 7th performances.
Eugene is currently avoiding strenuous dance practice and is focusing on singing and acting.
The director said that "Eugene was so determined and burdened to be at her best for the audience, that she stayed and practiced her dancing until 2,3 AM even after her costars finished practicing," and was amazed at the amount of practice she put in.

There is a lot of excitement over 'A Dancer's Innocence' since it will be all-around entertainer Eugene's musical debut. It will be performed from the 29th of this month to July 1st (3 months) at Seoul Samsung Dong Baek Ahm Art Hall.

The show goes on for pop star turned dancer

After Eugene (Kim Eu-gene), an original member of the dance trio S.E.S., fractured a rib during practice, no one knew whether she would be able to do her new Latin spins on stage during the Korean musical "Dancing Princess."

But there is no need for worry, the spokesperson for Culture Cap Media said Wednesday, adding that the pop singer would only delay her musical debut by a few days.

She was initially planning to take the stage tomorrow night, but instead she will appear starting April 4.

Until then, Yang So-min, with whom she shares the role, will appear in every performance.

"Dancing Princess," adapted from a 2005 film of the same name, is about an ethnic Korean girl, Cha-ryn, from a rural part of China, who gets involved in a sham marriage.

Her fake husband is a modern dance performer getting ready for an important dance competition.

Eventually, she learns to dance with him and becomes his new partner. Eugene will be playing Cha-ryn, a role that demands a vigorous combination of modern, jive and samba dances.

The musical composers for "Dancing Princess" include film music maker Choi Man-sik from "Friend" and "The Contact," Seo Sang-eun from the musical "Waikiki Brothers" and Kim Dong-gi from the movie "Samgeori Theater."

"This musical has over 40 numbers full of song and dance," said Kim Kyung from Culture Cap Media. "We eliminated the talking parts as much as possible and instead emphasized fast-moving bodies."

According to the producers, actors and actresses practiced up to 12 hours a day for three months to learn the steps. Six professional modern dance performers coached the actors.

"I saw Eugene stay after practice until 2 or 3 in the morning practicing her steps," Lee Geon-guk, one of the choreographers, said.

The actress was injured while rehearsing the competition-day scene, which requires a series of high-impact movements.
"I had a few minor injuries before, but the pain became unbearable during the competition scene," the pop idol said.

The original movie by director Park Young-hoon attracted over 2.2 million viewers when it opened in theaters nationwide. It starred teenage star Moon Geun-young as Cha-ryn.

The musical "Dancing Princess" opened yesterday and will continue through July 1 at Baekam Hall in Samseong-dong. The hall is located near exit 8 of Samseong subway station on line No. 2. All tickets cost 50,000 won ($53). For reservations, call 1544-1555 or 1588-7890.

Eugene, who has transformed into a Musical actress, climbs on stage by overcoming her rib injury. It is the stage for the musical 'Innocent Steps.'
Recently, Eugene fractured a rib bone during rehearsal.
Because the musical requires the performers to act out the colorful and sensual art of dance sport all over the stage, the practice had to be very intense.

An insider from the producing company revealed, "There are many people who have postponed buying tickets to guarantee that they will see Eugene perform (this is a vague quote if i directly translate it but it means that people knew Eugene wouldn't be performing in the first show because of her injury so they waited until she recovered to buy tickets because they wanted to see HER perform, not the other woman who is double casted with Eugene)
Eugene's role in 'Innocent Steps' is the character of Chae Rin. She is the beautiful and innocent girl that Moon Geun Young portrayed in the movie version.
Chae Rin sets out to Seoul to pursue her older sister's (who leaves to pursue love) dream of success. Unlike her sister, who had continuously won at a dance competition, Chae Rin has never attempted any dance before in her life. She pays some men who turn out to be gang members to take her to Seoul and get threatened by them. This is when Young Jae enters the story. He had been failing in the dance sport world because of other competitors' conspiracies. Sensing compassion in the young Chae Rin, he teaches her dance day and night and prepares to enter a competition with her as his partner.
'Innocent Steps,' a musical that was born after two years of preparation, opened on the 29th of last month. It double-casts Eugene; the all-around entertainer who MCs, acts in dramas, and now even has a movie coming out, and Yang So Min; a master musical actress.

OMG eugene-unnie's so beautiful!!!what a very cute smile... I watched save the last dance I think last, last week and I was really happy with Eugene's acting there! Waah! Why did I watch save the last dance too late...haha...and I really loved eugene with ji sung...hehe hope they'll make another series again...though it's impossible...because they don't make series with the same leads again...unlike here in the philippines...well that's all for today...anneyong!

i guess lee da-hae and lee ji-hoon attended the movie premier together because off ha suk jin, eugene's leading man in the movie and who happens to be with da-hae and ji-hoon's tv series too.
